People forget this movie was SIX YEARS after T2 came out, and that had FX that for the most part holds up well to this day. I'll never forget seeing this movie with several other guys, we were all Army ROTC cadets then, spending 3 weeks on an active post after advanced camp. We hadn't done anything 'normal' for almost two months when we got to go to the movies and this was all we agreed on that was showing. I'll never forget one of the others guys said, "Wow, were we away from normal life SO LONG that movies got that bad while we were away?"
The effects in T2 were quite a bit less complex than what was required to animate all the stuff in Spawn though. The T-1000 was the only real complex part that would require any CGI, and the scenes of T-1000 FX were not very complicated. Even the T800s or Arnie himself were basically just robot mannequins with makeup.
If you think about it, falling for 30 minutes is a pretty horrific thing. I was on a really stiff(like 70, 80 degrees) water slide and i fell for only a second or two over mere 40 feet or so. that was like one of the most terrifying experience in my life. can't even scream hhhh
I remember when this was coming out. I told all of my non-comic book-fan friends about how amazing it was going to be. I said "No! It's not going to be lame! It's a great comic with lots of great characters!" Opening day we all go to see it, and I brought shame into my life for the first time. That day, and because of the letdown of this movie, my innocence was lost forever.
This movie was awful and Spawn wasn't wearing the mask enough. The only thing actually good in this movie was the the violator (the clown), that actor nailed the role. For fans of Spawn, the HBO animated series is way better

@@WinningProduction420 fuck you bitch
it really didn't and it aged like forgotten milk.

I came to this video because mk 11 released the spawn character... and this dude does a mortal kombat reference in the first 2 minutes
Spawny, Spawny, he’s our man, if he can’t kill ‘em no one can. Yayyy Spawny! S to the P to the A to the AWN. S to the P to the A to the AWN. Go Spawny!! Go Spawny!!
Ryan or Mark S to the P to the AWN to the Y*
Oh Yeahhh, that was my part!
From what I remember of this movie the clown was the best part, I saw it at least twice first time thought it was good second realized how bad the cgi was, its amazing how people think something looks good only to see it 10 or so years later and realize how awful it looks.
All of clowns lines are the best, he made the movie
@@EchthelionII
So true. XD
Man I loved this movie as kid. And still do. Spawn is my favorite comic book character of all time. But even as a kid I knew the Malebolgia scenes were awful. Of course you gotta do Blade now if you already haven't. Balance out one bad 1997 superhero movie with a better one.
He already sinned "Blade". In fact, he sinned the entire "Blade" trilogy.
yeah, he did Blade & Blade II, can't remember him sinning Blade: Trinity though. Yeah, I still love this movie even though it's flawed as hell lol.
ah hell, they took down Spawn? I loved that movie.. or maybe i just love the character enough to overlook the movies shortcomings.
Bruh, I was day one reader and because of that, I hated this hot pile of crap even more
This isnt a reupload. This is a brand new sin video
Ryan Gulliver same unfortunately
It's going to be better than the new one the new ones probably going to be terrible how df do you make a spawn movie with spawn being a secondary character
Like the PG-13 rating?
This channel was my childhood lol. And coming back to see a movie with over 12k sins!?!?!? 😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is a bad, yet fun movie. However if you want some real kick-ass Spawn see the HBO animated series.
truth
There was an HBO animated series of it?
@@rpsyco damn right 3 seasons
look it up on RUclips if your a fan of spawn it is amazing!
Andy Serkis isn't a CGI character in this movie - ding.
Why does Satan have the same voice as Dr. Claw from Inspector Gadget and original Optimus Prime?
It's frank welker
Good question(and while yes, that's because it's Frank Welker and he did the voice for Dr.Claw in Inspector Gadget(but he never voiced Optimus Prime).
But he's not Satan(people can often confuse him for Satan, though). That particular character's name is Malebolgia and he's supposed to be a demon-lord of hell. He can be thought of as being A devil but not THE devil. In the Spawn comic books, the actual biblical devil exists and has appeared.
And the devil in golden child
Frank Welker NEVER played Optimus, he played Megatron.
Frank Welker did MEGATRON not Optimus Prime
That Jak & Daxter reference at the very end still cracks me up!
I feel like I played on of the Doom games just watching this and I don't know why.
K dude ur funny but saying a movie from the 90s is like reliving the 90s? Come on bro lol 5 sins
Watching a movie from the past, could be like reliving that period of time.
Brett Davy His point is everyone talks about how ahead of its time this movie is but he feels like it’s really 90s and has a lot of cheese

now that you mention it...the pest is one of my favorite movies...I'd love for THAT sin vid.
"I dunno if there is a worse way to start your movie than by narration and a fake bird"
Yes, if the opening was narration FROM a fake bird.
the comics were so good , this NEEDS a reboot
You cant just quote deadpool and fly right past it
Yes you can. All it takes is maximum effort.
Fret not....there is still the animated series....
I still like this movie, despite the PS1 special effects and the fact that the demons look like lizard Muppets.
how can you "despite" the special fx? i could probably do a better job than that. like how was this movie even released?
@@mohammedahmed8274 have u ever watched movies in the 90's ?
This movie was awful and Spawn wasn't wearing the mask enough. The only thing actually good in this movie was the the violator (the clown), that actor nailed the role.
For fans of Spawn, the HBO animated series is way better
But its incomplete right its only 2 seasons?
I know its better than one season but we are ravenous lol
Brendan Joyce there are 3 seasons! Shame they canceled it so soon
I'll get you next time, Gadget!
referring to Frank Welker voicing claw? I shouldve known
Your laughter in all the films you sin makes me laugh with you. Best Laugh Ever. 500 sins removed, Sin Narrator.
Strange. After watching the cartoon series, I find this movie even worse. Especially Violator. And Sheen is completely miscast.
Even worse? The series is the shit.

Spawn was my favorite comic at the time of the movie. I was so excited for this movie and i freaking loved this movie but it hasnt aged well at all but im stoaked for the new Spawn movie being written and directed by Todd McFarlane. Also the Spawn toy line is the best toy line ever made. Has nothing to do with the movie but im a huge fan of the toy line.
0:30 I was honestly thinking the exact same thing. My first thought was "Yeah. One expert can turn a squad around. Just look at Kobe"
I thought the clown was danny devito.

Al Simmons should come back as The Toxic Avenger
Everything wrong with spawn? Ohh this is gonna be a long one...
12577 sins!? That is horribly forgiving...
Satan sounds like Dr. Claw from Inspector Gadget and that should be around 70 sins.
Frank Welker did both
That’s not Satan, that’s Malebogia, he only rules the 8th circle. Satan’s a different character
First time I heard that voice I immediately thought it was going to ask for 120 precursor orbs for each power cell it contained. So glad they followed through on that!
The original spawn comics ( i havent read alot of them ) and the animation were not as cringy. They were actually good and cool :D
YOU ALSO HAVE TO RELIZE THAT SPAWN IS A VERY OLD MOVIE CGI WAS JUST STARTING OUT.
Schwifty Mcgwifty like?
So was Jurassic Park and that CG has aged amazingly
