Hey guys! This video is a re-upload because the original version of this episode was no longer viewable. We'll be posting these re-uploads every Saturday as well as every Thursday during our September vacation. There are still NEW sins videos every Tuesday, and new ones every Thursday after our September vacation.
Yeah, Raven not looking any older in this film actually makes sense. As Hank said in First Class, her cells age at half the rate of normal humans. He literally said "When you're 40, you'll still have the looks of a teenager."
That police archer has more skill that Katniss and Legolas combined. The skill to accidentally kill two people while being attacked by birds is unmatched in the cinema world
D- licious yea imo the best one it’s definitely the best in terms of action maybe a couple had a better story but this one had the most classic x men feel to it (like finally seeing nightcrawler go off, which we’ve wanted since X2) also every mutant got their own moments of being awesome it was really entertaining, one of if not the best one made so far. Don’t listen to the critics on for real
Dark Phoenix is a nice film with a shitty and far too fast ending. With nearly no explanation und no climax style fight. But yeah there have been shittier movies
@@trutherone1725 But the thing about Apocalypse in the comics is that he's extremely poorly defined, and he always has been. His superpowers are a random grab bag that appear and disappear as the writer decides. A lot of characters from his era of comics had that problem.
First of all "Pruszków, Poland" is definitely not Germany. Second of all, in 1983 Magneto in Poland would be behind Iron Curtain's embargo of correct US news. It's pretty conceivable nobody would know how he looks. Just saying.
The only sin is that this film should have included, but why the hell did it not acknowledge the fact that Nightcrawler is Mystique (and Arazel)'s son?
it is not electricity that messes up Nightcrawler's ability to teleport, it is electromagnetic pulses caused by electrical energy that disrupt his brain's biochemical connection to the Earth - we all have this ability to sense where we are and where our limbs are in relation to other things, known as our proprioception. We use this sense all the time to get all of our body safely into and out of cars and through closing elevator doors.. we regularly extend the sense to include what we touch and hold, allowing us to safely navigate a fork full of food into our mouths without poking our selves in the nose. Professional drivers unconsciously extend their proprioception into their vehicles, to the point that they can sense the edges of their vehicle even if they cannot visually SEE it. Nightcrawler's sense of proprioception gives him a strong sense of where he is in relation to every thing around him; this is what gives him the confidence to teleport quickly into and out of tight, enclosed spaces, into multi-level buildings, etc. without accidentally having some part of him appear IN or THROUGH some thing. Create a strong electromagnetic field around Kurt and he loses that subconscious sense of proprioception, consequently his own sense of self-preservation takes over, and the adrenaline in his system invokes a fear response - he loses the ability to teleport because he has lost his connection with his surroundings to the point that it becomes too unsafe in his mind.
@emre varol For you: 10 things an Electromagnetic field can do to your brain io9.gizmodo.com/5851828/10-things-an-electromagnetic-field-can-do-to-your-brain If you want to learn the basics of how this works, do a browser search for Transcranial magnetic stimulation. This is actual science; where the fantasy comes in the movie is the size and range of the devices. Rather than affect each of their powers individually, the idea is to use strong electromagnetics to affect their brains, effectively disconnecting them from the conscious use of their powers.
Arigatou! But i fear you hope too much. i do have a habit, how ever bad, of sharing linked articles on social media, mostly Twitter but also Pinterest, Reddit, Imgur, RUclips.. but i confess i am not always so willing to turn mai other cheek when some one sends insulting messages like he did; i was just in a very good mood at that moment.
Remember X-MEN The Animated Series in the 90's? They did a way better of bringing in Apocalypse. They should have just followed that show. Would have made more money.
Or you know, having a story line similar to the very popular Age of Apocalypse story line that the movie was kind of marketed as being similar to, earlier in development anyways. Fox's marketing for these movies does seem to be to rely on the comic story lines with similar names but no similarity in the plots.
"During this massive worldwide telephatic message, a lot of this traffic continues to move normally. F*cking New York, man. They don't get distracted by s*it." That made me LOL so hard
It's highly unlikely Angel would be listening to the Metallica song "The Four Horsemen". In this movie they watch Return of the Jedi, which came out May 1983. Kill Em All, the album with that song, came out in July 1983. It's possible Jedi might still be in theaters as it was a blockbuster, but Kill Em All was an indie release with an initial printing of only 15,000 copies. It didn't chart on Billboard until 1986. They didn't tour Europe until 1984. The chance that some guy in Germany in Spring/Summer 1983 happened to be listening to that song is almost nil. Cool scene, though.
It is more likely than you think, if he was one of the thousands of avid underground metal tape traders, a global network of metal enthusiasts hungry for the ever increasing horde of metal bands and releases. Thrash metal was burgeoning, and fans copied tapes of their favorite demos and records and mailed them on to friends and acquaintances all over the world. Add to that that tons of xeroxed metal 'zines would have reviewed Metallica's demos and/or live shows by that point. They had already made quite a reputation for themselves through their demos and the Metal Massacre compilation. It is entirely possible that Angel got a tape copy in 1983 (I'll give you the unlikely overlap with Return of the Jedi) if not the actual vinyl album.
3:40 part of Xavier's ability to lead and persuade people is his talent for public and motivational speaking, which he learned from studying literature and the most persuasive minds of history. He can control minds forcefully if he wanted to but he literally chooses to control his own words instead and give people the freedom to hear him out and persuade them with language and not force (although sometimes it is definitely bordering on manipulation).
If it wasn't from the '80s, we could've argued he was a cosplayer who just watched ROTJ. Also, yeah, there were integration rules in effect after the whole DOFP "the mutants are here deal with it" propaganda. Fucking mutants.
People knew about the existence of mutants by then. They saw Mystique, in her blue form, on live television, during the DC incident in 'Days of Future Past'
One more thing: How TF did wolverine get captured by Stryker? at the end of DOFP we saw him get taken away by mystique posing as Stryker, so are we supposed to pretend that it wasn't mystique?? I am confuse
I think you're supposed to understand that something happened in the past where Mystique got found out and ran away, leaving Wolverine in the hands of Stryker, the man she impersonated. Because that's... _really_ obvious. You don't need every last detail delivered as boring exposition.
17:48 Nothing you recount here as being Apocalypse's plan is his plan. His plan was to take over the quick heal guy and get on with life. That was thwarted, and his four helpers died. So, after waking up by sheer chance, his plan was to recruit four new helpers and rule the world again.
Quicksilver didn't had time to rescue him because he was already in the room so he didn't survive You saw in the start the explosion was already on the room and he wasn't slow mowing anything
Except days of future past spent literally 99% of the entire movie focused on stopping mystique from killing trask and magneto only took approximately ten minutes of the focus
They missed a big opportunity here to have Magneto be good and help the Xmen after Charles is kidnapped. That happens in the comic books. Instead, they just rehash the same old Magneto story.
3:40 Because they kids have to go to this school because they are treated like shit by regular schools and regular kids. Actually teaching them stuff that goes beyond just "how to be a mutant" is important. Which is actually the problem with the whole Harry Potter universe. Kids who are not muggle born are NEVER schooled before they turn 11, but they somehow all know how to write, read, do maths, calculus, arithmetics, etc. Pretty huge hole.
Yeah, he passed over the 80’s style commercial for Xavier’s school, where it’s established that they get a regular education to “thrive in the real world,” along with how to deal with their, uh, mutant..ness?
MestariDuff It's not really a problem. In the HP universe the kids are schooled at home, by their parents. Also they don't seem to do any maths or whatsoever in Hogwarts anyway... Which makes sense, in a way. They know the basics (additions, multiplications, etc.), but they don't need advanced maths. They don't need science, stats or anything like that, after all. Actually, what I always found weird in HP is their jobs. Like... what job can they do ? The jobs seem super limited. The goblins or whatever are the bankers, wizards don't do that. So wizards can own stores, be journalists/reporters, be guards/landlords, be caretakers, work in a hospital, work at restaurants/inns/bars, be professional Quiddicth players, be teachers (a job with super limited positions, btw, since you have only 3 schools for all of Europe), study magical animals, be alchemists, and things like that, then it's mostly working at the magic ministry... Are most of them simplly all working there ? Do they have actual farmers, fishermen and such who work all year, or do they just magically harvest/catch the food fast and easily ? You'd imagine them to have potions or spells to make things grow faster, right ? I mean, even making clothes, they can technically just buy what's needed and get the objects to create the clothing (like how the mother Weasley make objects at home do the house work). I just never understood what most of them were doing. A lot of the adults you meet in the books don't even seem to have a job. For the ones you do know, almost all of them just "work at the ministry". What's their job exactly ? You don't always know. They just work there.
@@Libellulaire There are farmers who grow all those special plants like Mandragoras and the such, which was Neville's favorite signature. Herbiology was the class. And he became a Herbiology Teacher.
Apocalypse is extremely, highly and galactically intelligent. The movie doesn't explain it, but Apocalypse is fused biologically, mentally and metaphysically with Celestial (multi universal quasi eternal beings that are tiers above what we would consider gods, they are essentially the grandchildren of the universes who are at War with other universal entities that basically are their cousins and forefathers. Just having a fraction of their blood and/or technology gives an unfathomable amount of power, might, genius and longevity to lifespan) technology. So, by default Apocalypse could take an old radio and do the exact same thing. His lists of powers is extremely long so much so that fans and comic readers like myself have been begging Marvel to list him as an "Omega" Level Mutant (but to be Omega level, you must have the ability to alter or warp reality included in your abilities set) sadly so, Apocalypse sits towards the top of the Alpha Level mutant list.
Agreed, just going by the movie, I'm pretty sure he said he acquired his powers from mutants over the years, this is certainly not one he could have aquired bc of the whole no TVs in existence thing.
Haha The original purpose for the Charles Xavier School for the Gifted wasn't where Mutants would learn to fight potential enemies lol it was s a place where kids could go to school, in an actual, "school," environment. Even though they're Mutants, they're still children and deserve to get an education lol without fear of persecution or judgement. Which is what most of them suffered out in the many regular traditional schools, you know, the ones with, "normal," kids. It's where kids, even though they're Mutants, can still be kids, and do kid stuff without feeling, "different," and/or ashamed of themselves. So, Yea! They learn literature, and math and science and physical education, and have lunch and lockers, and pass notes and get in trouble and have crushes, and all the other stuff kids do in a school, because that's what it is and that's what they need. Normal society treated them with fear and misunderstanding, because they were Mutants, and governments were constantly trying to use them for their powers, but they were children, not soldiers or weapons, and Charles Xavier thought they deserved to have the same basic opportunities as everyone else. It's not a, "Battle Education Center," lol or a, "Fight Club." That's why it's not called, "Charles Xavier's Boot Camp for Gifted Children." 😂👍
It's not that she should have aged, it's that we are closer in the timeline now to the orginal movie mystique then First Class Mystique but has not shown any diffrence whatsoever.
He actually removed a sin for Mission: Impossible - Fallout only saying Belfast and not saying “,Northern Ireland” after. And then he said “I don’t need to be told that Belfast is in Ireland” even though it’s in Northern Ireland, so clearly he needed to be told 😂😂
The "she has transforming powers, you have the ability to control the weather, you aren't and never can be like her" is just purposely misunderstanding what Storm meant when she said she "wanted to be like her" for the purpose of adding another sin to the list. I'm not sure if I pointed this out the last time this video was uploaded, but it feels deja vu-y enough to assume so. Also, Apocalypse never planned to be "dead" for thousands of years. At the time, he was just transferring his mind into another body, that's it. The thousands of years part was an accident, and then later he did the Enchantress thing of being ticked off that mankind had gone beyond worshiping him as a god, so he got his Horsemen together to start over. Treating the entire movie's storyline as all being part of Apocalypse's plan is kind of silly.
Yeah this reviewer really irritates me. I've seen a couple of his reviews and he criticises things that are perfectly logical or are simply about suspending disbelief due to the genre. He brings up things like how the bad guys are terrible shots whereas the good guys hit everything they shoot at. Its done in a tongue and cheek manner but then he counts it as a sin! Batman succeeds at that impossible feat because he's Batman! It's not suppose to be realistic. And that whole comment about Storm wanting to by like Mystique. If he didn't understand that meant that she wanted to be an heroic and strong mutant like she is and not have the same powers as her than he's an utter moron.
@@jasonkinzie8835 That's the literal point of Cinemasins. It's not serious, and these aren't serious reviews. I wouldn't even call them reviews! It's entertainment based.
To all the people posting on here about this being a reupload and what not. Watch the announcement at the beginning of the Captain America the first Avenger video. Or at least read the other comments before posting because it's explained in there at least 15 times already!
But at the same time, the people he saves (including the fish) don't have the same level of consistency as the last few X-men film he was in. I hate to be that guy but they establish certain ground rules and just whip people out of windows at thousands of mph, run and drop people and have blankets that 'slow' their landing. Atleast the blanket was an attempt though.
As a polish person i am hella triggered that you kept on saying that magneto was in germany at the beginning - it literally says pruszkow poland - jeez dude
Guys, they’re re-uploading videos that had been taken down. It’s explained in the last one. They should pin a comment every time they add one of these.
@@twistedwonderland1043 it's literally such a minute role she's an Asian girl in a yellow jacket that hung out with Scott and Jean a lot. They actually cast someone who seems to look a lot like her but they didn't give her any screen time :((
And he moved at superspeed while everything was slowing down and he was having fun while saving them he didn't put a loot of effort he was moonwalking he took the time to drink and play that little game and also he took the drapes out of the mansion and gets out of the mansion multiple times so i'm pretty sure he is faster than the speed of light and i saw it in a video where a guy explained how he is faster than the speed of light!!
Teaching about Magneto in a Ohio State high-schools is very different from 1983 Poland. Poland was under communist rule up until 1989, around when the Berlin wall fell if you didn't know. So I wouldn't expect the Eastern block communists to know shit about America. Because they didn't, even in real life.
What...? No. You have a cartoon idea of Communism. People in Poland definitely knew about world politics back then. In fact, the time you're discussing was a brief moment of reaction against a steadily liberalizing Polish state under which those workers would have led most of their lives. If someone almost killed a U.S. president 10 years previous, they'd know.
"In 2016, the "Dissident" blog of the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation made an effort to compile updated ranges of estimates and concluded that the overall range "spans from 42,870,000 to 161,990,000" killed, with 100 million the most commonly cited figure." That's one hell of a cartoon. But ok, I can see your point as well. After all, there was a Russian newspaper telling about the death of JFK. That was very public event that was news all around the globe. Something that was not very public in the plot of these movies are the mutant powers that the core x-men group possesses. Charles already wiped the mind and memories of a CIA agent in the previous movie "First Class". So memory of events is a peculiar thing in these movies I guess. Also, Magneto was pretty much a rogue secret agent in that movie. The mutant involvement of the Cuban missile crisis was held under wraps by pretty much everyone who knew about it. If we disregard the time travel movie "Days of Future Past", the government and the public didn't know about the mutants until the New York incident of 2000, where the first X-men movie started from, and built up the idea of people hating and fearing mutants. If we are talking about top secret level information about mutants... Well, maybe the Russians had something to go by on their own behind the iron curtain. But Magneto was not a face or a person people in Soviet Poland would have known about. ONLY twist to this is the time travel timeline of the Days of Future past plot, where Magneto goes on tv, pointing guns at the world leaders on the White House lawn. After that, agreed. No place to hide. And since this movie follows that same timeline I guess you got me there too. The original timeline, steel mill in Soviet Poland would have been a perfect hiding place.
They did know about America, but it was satirical in the same sense as what Americans did to the Soviet Union. They most likely would know about what happened in America, but it was probably portrayed as an American experiment gone wrong and used as satire.
BS. There were packages from USA [and France and other countries] and people were smuggling materials about western world. Illegal printed papers weren't unknown for people [Samizdat in english]. Did You heard abour Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty? Photos made by Chris Niedenthal [with famous one: "Apocalips Now" and military vehicle]? There were many foreign journalists too. Who wanted to know had a way to get informations.
...and you forgot the fact that Apocalypse became evil again the same way Ultron did, going through digital media and thinking humans are evil. *(DING)*
"Well, at least we can agree that the third one's always the worst." *"Because we saw Friday the 13th Part 3 and ain't no way it's gonna get worse than that. I mean, what are they gonna do, make him take Manhattan or go to space?"*
the scene at the end when Magneto and Jean Grey are using their powers to rebuild the Xavier mansion... I could believe that they could move so many objects around in such complex ways, but I simply cannot believe that they actually know how a building goes together...
Are we going to gloss over the fact that, in this movie, Magneto is nowhere near old enough to be in a concentration camp? 1983-1942=41 and since Magneto was around 10 in the camp, that would make him at least 51. However, this movie clearly presents him to be in his 30s.
Keep in mind that the end of DOFP had everyone looking like they barely aged a day even though they should be pushing senior citizen status by that point
The reason Mystique doesn't look ten years older is because her cells age at half the rate of that of a regular human/mutant. This is explained in X-Men: First Class.
Yeah but anyways she would have ended up being portrayed by a 28 year old Rebeccca Romijn afterwards. I think the sin/joke is mostly about the big character change that DOFP brought to her character. Romijn's Mystique was dark and gritty while Lawrence's is all about hope and... stuff.
Stan Lee: SL: Super Lizard: he is the head of the reptilian world order. him playing different characters in the marvel movies is meant to serve as a hint to his shapeshifting abilities... maybe. Idk. Don’t look it up, take my word for it. Keep asking questions.
Kieran Lepley you know peter calls Christians “Gods Chosen people” as well right? And a good percentage of Christians believe god changed his mind, after Jews rejected Jesus, and now Christians are the chosen ones. You can blame Jews(for everything) all you want, but all it shows is how batshit insane and racist you are. Because what you are saying is “Jews are so smart, 100million of them, control a world population of 7.5billion” “and I have no way of ever stopping them, because they are to good at their jobs” That’s what your conspiracy theory crap is claiming. Jews are so much better than everyone else, they’ve been both controlling the world, and keeping it secret; and 99% of people have any idea it’s happening. Jews are superpowered in your story. Lol.
Writer: how do we make it so the x men don’t notice or care that megneto killed hundreds of millions of people across the entire planet so they can be friends again at the end of the movie? Producer: oh we’ll just not show any deaths and let the audience believe entire cities evacuated buildings and bridges and everything else with no warning but we won’t show it on screen Writer: will that work? Producer: yeah, it’ll be super easy, barely an inconvenience. “After movie release” *Cinemasins* : ding ding ding ding
"Sabah Elnoor" actually means good morning in Arabic, which means that the film makers just picked any weird sounding name to non-arabic speakers for the villian to sound somewhat more ancient for him being a Pharoah/god in ancient Egypt
17:48 - The movie explained *VERY* early on that Apocalypse can "collect" mutant powers, and take them his consciousness with each transference, and the process was interrupted back in 3600 BCE. The plan was NOT to wait a couple hundred centuries for the world's most powerful psychic. Apocalypse was looking to complete the original transference, and the fact that he found a crazy powerful psychic was just the icing on the X-Cake.
If anyone is wondering why he said "All powerful god so many times" It's because he was trying to beat the amount of times we were told batman's parents died
Psylocke was one of my personal favorite from the X-Men universe. The Capcom vs Marvel fighting games (I always picked her and rocked hard!), random bits of media she popped up in, even the few comics I checked out (not a huge comic fan, but I do enjoy the comic movies). Its a shame they got her look down, released that Psylocke sword fighting practice scene on IG or wherever, and then did NOTHING with her! Olivia Munn even looked great as Psylocke. Still a shame :(
J Dubs C What did you expect. She wasn't a major character and was never pitched as one. Her character in this movie was used as a plot device and that's not always a bad thing. Do you know how many characters they had to set up and develop in this movie. For how much they had, they did a pretty good job developing them. But you couldn't expect everyone to get equal development. There was just no more room.
In the comics, Xavier removed memories from everyone and manipulated people to come to him as a students in the future. He turned out to be a massive villain without anyone knowing, like a gentleman Joker.
So basically just like the "modern day civil rights activist organizations"(think campus organizations that push critical race theory, gender theory, and bogus poorly thought out "feminism") the only way they managed to get students to their brainwashing facilities was to.... brainwash the students into coming against their will anyway. Oh, but don't worry folks. The characters will occasionally utter horrible attempts at "relatable dialogue" so it's not like they're TOTAL slaves.
They should still put Re-upload in the title, so people who don't remember every single video they did don't have to either watch through the first couple minutes or go into the comments to be reminded.
Apocalypse by far is my favorite X-men character/villain and I'm a nerd for marvel comics. With that being said, EVERYTHING is/wrong with this damn MOVIE! Especially Apocalypse himself! So I will support his sins for this movie, even though some of them aren't warranted.
In the MetallicA song The Four Horsemen there is a verse in the song "You've been dying since the day you were born, you know its all been planned , quartet of deliverance rides. A sinner (Ding)once, a sinner (Ding)twice,no need for confession now. Cause now you've got the fight of your life." So add 2 more sins on top of the one.
You should had "sinned" that at the end of Days of Future Past, Mystique (transformed in Striker) was the one that had Wolverine, but now is the REAL Striker... how did that happened??
Watching cinema sins every day has definitely changed movie watching for me. Some people would see it as ruining an experience, I see it as having a higher standard for my movies.
Please, don't think like that. CinemaSins is not about setting a standard: the "sins" are played for laugh - it's a comedy channel, not a movie critic. There's no relation between the "sin counter" and the actual quality of a movie. Also, basing your "higher standard" on CinemaSins pretty much means giving up critical thinking and let someone else do it for you.
Previously they hadn't met Nightcrawler until Storm had been a long-time leader at X's school, now they meet him when she's still a punk brat on the mean streets of Cairo.
Days of Future Past changed the timeline so the first 3 X-men movies (and the Wolverine trilogy) technically never occurred in this timeline. It essentially let them rewrite things without being stuck with the restrictions prequels have.
Apocalypse: "How many Poles does it take to screw in a lightbulb?" Magneto: "Please don't." Apocalypse: "I don't know, they all fell through the floor." Psylocke snorts...
@CinemaSins I want to point your sin - all action with Magneto and his new family took place in Poland not in Germany. Michael Fassbender even deliver few lines and a sang in Polish, which is immensely difficult to pronounce for anybody who is not native to any Balto-Slavic (Polish, Czech and Slovak, Slovene, Serbo-Croatian, Macedonian and Bulgarian, Russian, Belarusian, Ukrainian, Lithuanian, Latvian etc.) or Indo-Iranian (Hindustani, Bengali, Bishnupuriya, Punjabi, Marathi, Gujarati, Bhojpuri, Awadhi, Maithili, Odia, Marwari, Sindhi, Assamese, Rajasthani, Chhattisgarhi, Sinhalese, Nepali, and Rangpuri, Persian, Pashto, Kurdish, Balochi etc.) languages - of course any native Polish user heard that his pronunciation was a bit off but still Fassbender deserve applause for this. You may don't know how Polish sounds but still you should easily hear that Magneto didn't say a line in German in this film. So he didn't work and didn't save his college from earthquake caused by Apocalypse in East Germany but in communist Polish People's Republic which was a puppet of Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. Furthermore communists countries would be ideal place for Magneto to hide from US Government, because US had little to say there and all media in communists were heavily censored so most of people there probably wouldn't know about existence of mutants. And I think that communist Polish People's Republic was natural hideout for Magneto, because he and his parent fled from Nazi Germany to Republic of Poland in the 30' to avoid Jew persecution (sadly his parents did not foresee the German aggression on Poland, which took place in 1939 and that Germans would start creating Nazi death camp in German-occupied Poland), so he knew the culture and language.
This is just too strange a coincidence: I just re-watched this movie tonight on Blu-ray. I think its an awesome movie. Does it have its problems? Sure, the editing of some of Apocalypse's speeches made them sound kind of dumb. But I loved it anyway. Just a few comments on the sins: 1. Apocalypse is a technopath -- he can link his mind to any kind of technology and use it or take it over, whether a 1980's tv or Cerebro. 2. Apocalypse also uses alien technology: his suit is alien tech and his transference tech is as well. 3. The force field used to block the mutants powers works on psi abilities, such as Jean's or Nightcrawler's. Psi powers are from the human mind, therefor they are electrical/electromagnetic and can be blocked by the such fields. Though Scott should have been able to blast through it. 4. Marvel needs to retcon the fact that mutants age slower than humans. It would make this problem go away once and for all.
You're correct on everything but your last statement. Mutants age the same rate of speed just like any human not carrying the X-gene. There is ONLY a handful of mutants that this does not apply to. Magneto in his 70's looked like a 70yo person, same with Charles. Scott ages correctly Jean ages correctly Gambit Beast Storm Mystique (comics) is actually Ancient, a past lover and engaged to Apocalypse (possible fathering one of his actual children), Encountered Logan 800yrs ago when he was a pirate, was married to magneto, was Rogues stepmother and is the brooding wife of Azrael spawning him multiple 1/2 demon 1/2 mutant children... Like Kirk /nightcrawler. Mistique having the ability of changing the molecules around her also means that she can alter herself on a cellular level, meaning she can infinitely stay youthful and can willingly make herself immoratal.
@@YugiohMaster1987 That's why I suggested that Fox/Marvel/Disney retcon the whole aging thing, I know as the comics stand most mutant age normally, but from a casting point of view it would be make sense to cast today's actors in whatever time period they wanted to and not have to worry about what age they looked. From a story telling point of view, mutants aging slowly or not at all would give the non-mutants another reason to hate them. Of course, Logan also aged slower than normal humans, as does Deadpool.
@@WEFAHawkStreet Ok so I'm not the only one that noticed it! Thought I was going crazy. They've been been doing this with a lot of movies they've sinned and I don't know why.
They explained it that they had to do this. They are transferring all the TV videos to the new channel, which means they have to reload the movies to prevent duplications and take away from the new channel.
Justin Baldwin you almost got it right, he said in the last video that they are re uploading all the old videos that for one reason or another got taken down from this channel. Things like copy right issues, when that happens they either appeal it or redo the video to make it not have a strike. He said Thursday and Saturday videos this month will be re uploads.
I actually think you were wrong to make teaching creative writing a sin. Yes, the X-Men are often superheroes, but Xavier is still a teacher and the institute is still a school. They should be exposed to the humanities and the sciences and allowed to develop as young people, not merely be child soldiers.
Hey guys! This video is a re-upload because the original version of this episode was no longer viewable. We'll be posting these re-uploads every Saturday as well as every Thursday during our September vacation. There are still NEW sins videos every Tuesday, and new ones every Thursday after our September vacation.
CinemaSins ok
Please do the mission impossible: fallout, I was crying in the movie from all the sins
What make a video non viewable?
Oh cinema sins I have a great one do all the sharknado films. Then enachanted 2007 then cats don’t dance. Then the movie called cooties
Since you re-uploaded this one, maybe Th3 Birdman will make a video of this one! Fingers crossed! ❤️
U forgot a one: The entire movie is an origin story for how Xavier lost his hair
to be fair some people thought he just shaved hit head. Glad Fox cleared that up for some people.
exactly
Why is that a sin?
@@senseweaver01 because why not
They should have removed 30 sins for that

@Lawrence Rodriguez alrighty then
Both Magneto and Michael Fassbender
Yeah, Raven not looking any older in this film actually makes sense. As Hank said in First Class, her cells age at half the rate of normal humans. He literally said "When you're 40, you'll still have the looks of a teenager."
Well, that won't be creepy at all if they date. They clearly still like each other. Or are pretending they do because it says so in the script.

Dark Phoenix is a nice film with a shitty and far too fast ending. With nearly no explanation und no climax style fight. But yeah there have been shittier movies

Also when Apocalypse makes Scott melt into the wall, he conveniently leaves his face uncovered so he can breathe and not die.
magicmulder right he could of easily killed them all but the director of the movie just made an extremely watered down version of himself
Joshua Schneider doesn’t matter he should’ve been able to kill them all regardless especially considering he’s way more powerful in the comics
Joshua Schneider he probably had his lungs expanded because he gasped or something.
@@trutherone1725 But the thing about Apocalypse in the comics is that he's extremely poorly defined, and he always has been. His superpowers are a random grab bag that appear and disappear as the writer decides. A lot of characters from his era of comics had that problem.
Apocalypse didn't really want to kill any mutants if he didn't have to. He didn't even consider the X-Men a big enough threat to kill them all.
First of all "Pruszków, Poland" is definitely not Germany. Second of all, in 1983 Magneto in Poland would be behind Iron Curtain's embargo of correct US news. It's pretty conceivable nobody would know how he looks. Just saying.

it is not electricity that messes up Nightcrawler's ability to teleport, it is electromagnetic pulses caused by electrical energy that disrupt his brain's biochemical connection to the Earth - we all have this ability to sense where we are and where our limbs are in relation to other things, known as our proprioception.

If you want to learn the basics of how this works, do a browser search for Transcranial magnetic stimulation.
This is actual science; where the fantasy comes in the movie is the size and range of the devices.
Rather than affect each of their powers individually, the idea is to use strong electromagnetics to affect their brains,
effectively disconnecting them from the conscious use of their powers.

He can control minds forcefully if he wanted to but he literally chooses to control his own words instead and give people the freedom to hear him out and persuade them with language and not force (although sometimes it is definitely bordering on manipulation).

they both suck actually
MestariDuff
It's not really a problem.

How would Apocalypse ever know he could download information through a TV? They didn't exist when he took his nap

The original purpose for the Charles Xavier School for the Gifted wasn't where Mutants would learn to fight potential enemies lol it was s a place where kids could go to school, in an actual, "school," environment.

"In 2016, the "Dissident" blog of the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation made an effort to compile updated ranges of estimates and concluded that the overall range "spans from 42,870,000 to 161,990,000" killed, with 100 million the most commonly cited figure."
That's one hell of a cartoon.

"Sabah Elnoor" actually means good morning in Arabic, which means that the film makers just picked any weird sounding name to non-arabic speakers for the villian to sound somewhat more ancient for him being a Pharoah/god in ancient Egypt
The Arabic language didn't even exist until several THOUSAND years later, so it's especially bullshit that he would've been called that!
Jonah S it’s a movie so there will be a lot of non real facts so....
It’s actually from the comics bruh
you are correct , sabah elnoor means good morning, but his names is en sabah noor which means light of morning
Man, Apocalypse is such a good marvel villain. They dropped the ball with this movie
eehhhhhh....
It was pretty good
He unbeatable.....jive
They dropped the ball with every X-Men movie.
“When the songs as on the nose as The Four Horsemen it get a sin with No Remorse”
I see what you did there ;)
thumbs up for the Buffy reference
That was interesting to hear. I've had "I'll never tell" stuck in my head for days, and have been planning on rewatching that episode soon.
Didn’t you guys already have this video up? Oh, who cares? It’s hilarious!
watch the beginning of everything wrong with Captain America: The First Avenger. It explains why this was reuploaded.
eddie del toro oh, ok bro! Didn’t catch that one when it came out. Thank you!
watch the beginning of the captain america: first avenger to see why they are re uploading videos
“Life hates Erik more than anyone who ever lived”🤣🤣
17:48 - The movie explained *VERY* early on that Apocalypse can "collect" mutant powers, and take them his consciousness with each transference, and the process was interrupted back in 3600 BCE. The plan was NOT to wait a couple hundred centuries for the world's most powerful psychic. Apocalypse was looking to complete the original transference, and the fact that he found a crazy powerful psychic was just the icing on the X-Cake.
4:35 but it’s Poland
fun fact at 12:50 Quicksilver is actually traveling at around 4091 m/s, which is much faster then a shockwave of an explosion.
supersonic speeds
Love how you reached 105 sin counters before it really even hit the storyline
If anyone is wondering why he said "All powerful god so many times"
It's because he was trying to beat the amount of times we were told batman's parents died
There was just no more room.
funfact, at 19:51 sin count jump from 149 to 155 and then back to 150 XD
Lukáš Strmý thank god somebody noticed it
Oh shit I’ve seen this video so many times and I’ve actually never noticed that 😂 Probably because it’s so quick. Good eyes for spotting that Lukas.
A sin it’s self
It's incredible how a gorgeous man such as Oscar Isaac can turn into a blue thumb with a little makeup.
He himself hated the movie and playing Apocalypse
@@FM_LEGENDARY Makes sense, it's a shit movie.
Please do Infinity War Next!!!
But there is so little wrong with it
SkullzHunterz why? Infinity war was good
Mcu movies don't deserve any sins
@@Quintusblake for the comedy this is comedy it's not real sins sinning a movie doesn't automatically mean people don't like it
Quintusblake it's good but civil war and black panther is definitely better
Reupload?
Yea in one of the last videos i think, he said they will reupload all the videos that got claimed and deleted
Watch the announcement at the beginning of the Captain America the first Avenger video
watch the beginning of everything wrong with Captain America: The First Avenger. It explains why this was reuploaded.
When I saw the notfaction I was like wait they arleady uploaded this like 2 years ago
Courtney D. Waller Oscar Isaac who played as Apocalypse hated playing as him and the movie
The real life explanation? Bryan just simply decided to make it a throwaway scene
Isn't everyone "Trapped inside their own head" (4:57) 🤯
Watching cinema sins every day has definitely changed movie watching for me. Some people would see it as ruining an experience, I see it as having a higher standard for my movies.
Please, don't think like that. CinemaSins is not about setting a standard: the "sins" are played for laugh - it's a comedy channel, not a movie critic. There's no relation between the "sin counter" and the actual quality of a movie.
Also, basing your "higher standard" on CinemaSins pretty much means giving up critical thinking and let someone else do it for you.
8:57 I don’t know why but it took me several viewings to finally understand the joke

Hmm... I wonder if they'll all be asking about Infinity War?
Apocalypse: "How many Poles does it take to screw in a lightbulb?"
Magneto: "Please don't."
Apocalypse: "I don't know, they all fell through the floor."
Psylocke snorts...
14:23 - it’s *Alkali Lake* not _”Alkaline Lake”_ - a sin for the judge right there!
Lol
So, basically, it was the only solid story writing in the whole movie lol
Too long, did not read...
Too many words
Im just going to do the obligatory B-BUT SERBIAN AND CROATIAN ARE TWO DIFFERENT LANGUAGES bit and then slap myself and leave.
I wish I hadthis much time.
"...an earthquake in Egypt was felt all the way to Germany..."
It's Poland, not Germany.
If its strong enough to be felt in poland prob strong enough to be felt on germany too
@@franciscolaurean8550 The scene takes place in Poland, that's what I meant.
The way he said learning electrons always gets me
This is just too strange a coincidence: I just re-watched this movie tonight on Blu-ray. I think its an awesome movie. Does it have its problems? Sure, the editing of some of Apocalypse's speeches made them sound kind of dumb. But I loved it anyway.
Just a few comments on the sins:
Scott ages correctly
Jean ages correctly
Gambit
Beast
Storm
Mystique (comics) is actually Ancient, a past lover and engaged to Apocalypse (possible fathering one of his actual children), Encountered Logan 800yrs ago when he was a pirate, was married to magneto, was Rogues stepmother and is the brooding wife of Azrael spawning him multiple 1/2 demon 1/2 mutant children... Like Kirk /nightcrawler.
Mistique having the ability of changing the molecules around her also means that she can alter herself on a cellular level, meaning she can infinitely stay youthful and can willingly make herself immoratal.
@@YugiohMaster1987
That's why I suggested that Fox/Marvel/Disney retcon the whole aging thing, I know as the comics stand most mutant age normally, but from a casting point of view it would be make sense to cast today's actors in whatever time period they wanted to and not have to worry about what age they looked. From a story telling point of view, mutants aging slowly or not at all would give the non-mutants another reason to hate them.
Of course, Logan also aged slower than normal humans, as does Deadpool.
REUPLOAD ?!
I was thinking the same thing.
I distinctly remembered this one.
Adventure Bonnie诗源小灰 wow!!! I thought I wasn't the only one
2:43 some of us actually don't know where Pruszkow is, so it's a good thing they pointed out the country. CinemaSins, that is one point against you!
And then he still says magneto was in germany. Like how do you mess this up
I laughed everytime he didn’t know who Psylocke was 😂
Psywho?
You argue that the faraday cage effect may interfere with nightcrawler"s teleporting ability.
Did none of you watch the last video. It says right at the beginning that they’re reuploading old, deleted videos.
Im removing a sin for the robots. You cannot sin an Xmen movie for having sentinels.
The fact that Archangel somehow made it to the team of four supposedly extra powerful mutants should count x10 AT LEAST
They gave Magneto a family in one movie only, just so they could kill them minutes later and explain him being evil.
I actually think you were wrong to make teaching creative writing a sin. Yes, the X-Men are often superheroes, but Xavier is still a teacher and the institute is still a school. They should be exposed to the humanities and the sciences and allowed to develop as young people, not merely be child soldiers.
You get a sin at 14:50. They couldn't check the mansion because it just blew up.
You’re forgetting the fact that they just threw Scott’s whole entire backstory out the window and made Alex somehow older then him for whatever reason
