I really liked Prometheus and Covenant but boy, you can't beat the first Alien. Especially if you have seen it on the big screen...

16:57 seemed more like Wayland purposely, put the station next to the ring in case they needed to destroy it quickly.

Actually, the station is called Renaissance, with Romulus and Remus being key modules within it. Romulus handles command and control, while Remus focuses on scientific research and experimentation.

I'm glad Romulus ignored Covenant, it was a good film, but as part of the Alien franchise it was horrible. I mean the Alien wasn't originally suppose to be in it, but the Studio made Scott and then he threw into question the time line and creation of the Alien by having David make his version. The short films that came out with the 3rd year anniversary Blu-Ray made it even worse. Like for one they aren't originally apart of the film, and aren't deleted scenes being re-added. Just a short film that was thrown into the mix, and Scott had nothing to do with them. Also David goes from hating humans and WY, to sending them his research and telling them his plans? Prometheus already established that the Queen-ish/Deacon-ish creature and Facehuggers already excited. Thankfully the official book to Covenant uses the original script that David found the Eggs already on Planet-4. But either way, I don't blame Alvarez (who even said he didn't like the David/Xeno part of the film) for totally ignoring Covenant. It does acknowledge Prometheus and Alien while giving a nod or two too Aliens, resurrection and even the Alien Isolation game. In Romulus, I think they had Big Chap do what he did to Dallas and Brett in the first film. From that they got clones from the Facehuggers made from Eggmorphing, and also used Big Chap's Facehuggers to get the Black Goo. I believe those are the ones in the glass case in the lab, and why they look different from the clones in the stasis things. The ones in the Hive I truly believe are the real deal, cause they do not look like the darker colored ones in stasis but like the real ones from Alien and Aliens. As such I believe a Queen came to be, and is hidden deep in the Hive. The Aliens would only make a Hive, and attach the people of Romulus to the walls for the purpose of a Queen and Eggs. That and I swear I heard the Queen's scream while Andy and Rain were down there alone. I heard they are making a sequel or prequel to the film, but it will be a comic book instead of a film.
