Hell no. LUL Steve is a fucking creep in the og CV. Reinterpretations in spinoffs, etc made him bearable at least since he's made to a baseline functioning human being per se. But his 1st showing? MF deserves that green bean therapy.

Steve, Rachel, Lisa...honestly all of these in the video are tragic. Would add in Nemesis from the manwha adaptation of RE trilogy. There he used to be a successful boxer and a family man. Umbrella pulled all the strings in order to arrest him on false claims and then use him for the series of procedures that would turn him into Nemesis. What's more tragic is that the arse that was supervising his procedure infected his wife and son with the T-Virus, in front of him, and then shot them after they slowly turned into zombies. Just to break him. Later, now as Nemesis, the dude actually remembered his past and wanted vengeance (while still obeying the orders to eliminate all S.T.A.R.S. members). He actually got his vengeance when he confronted the arse and simply bit and ate his head off.
My mom used to play Resident Evil when I was a child. My brothers and I would watch. I was very young. Maybe only 6 or 7 at the time but I remember being absolutely devastated when Steve transformed. I was really rooting for Steve and Claire.
You really liked Rachel 😅😅 Loved this video. I’d say another tragic character was Barry. Having Wesker threaten his family to betray his friends always broke my heart. It even helped to explain his awkward dialog in a way, at least to me. Chris as well for that matter, a dude on a mission who can never truly save anyone. This made his reunions with Claire and later Jill so much more powerful.
Everyone on this list had tragic outcomes! Out of everyone on this list, Rachel Foley may be the only one that has a possibility, if not likelihood, of survival. Her intelligence of navigating through the Queen Zenobia would grant her the chance to escape off screen. It's sad that Mrs. Harper, Steve Burnside, and other tragic protagonists wouldn't have any chances of survival! Even Rachel's sister Gina was unlucky in Revelations 2!
I totally agree! Rachel definitely had a chance to survive, but unfortunately, her panic led her straight into a group of Oozes. If she'd kept her cool, things might have turned out differently. As for Steve, I think he could have made it too if he hadn’t been separated from Claire. There's even an interesting theory out there that Jake Muller might actually be Steve, which would be a fascinating twist!
I think I've watched a similar video and it mentioned interesting cases like Peasanta and Evelyn. Oddly enough, it didn't mention the guy who had shoot his daughter who was about to turn into a zombie.
I have no sympathy for Alexander, his evil actions caused all the events of re code Veronica. However Rachel, she had such an unnecessarily brutal death. Its also sad just how sexualized she is, poor Rachel.

You are correct they have changed the story at times to suit needs or rewritten things for Narrative purposes
