I love these ortega videos. Getting the speed for this exercise though is a lot more challenging that I though it would be. I'm playing the right notes but they don't flow into each other like yours.
After some critics on the 2nd video I would have thought that you'd correct the fact that your left hand is not visible. That is ruining the courses, Frank. A shame because everything else is perfect.
Constant Vanier Thanks for your comment. I´ll only include the left hand if needed. All those arpeggios are pure right hand technique! When we play more complex chords (not just E minor) I´ll make the right hand visible as well. Thanks again!!! Cheers Frank :)
In Flamenco the thumb plays always with rest stroke. It creates that "Flamenco sound" and is absolutely necessary for other Flamenco techniques (Alzapua) as well. Continue patiently (daily practice to train your muscle memory)) and you will progress. Cheers :)
@@FrankSteffenMueller Thank you so much for the comment! Your channel is amazing. I am practicing hard and can play a modest amount of flamenco but not used to rest strokes... Thanks!
Because it´s a lesson about your picking hand. But you can download the complete booklet with all instructions, tabs, sheets and chord diagrams for free on my website: bit.ly/2IAO6KX
These are basic exercises for the right hand only. There is no need for showing the left hand, because the chords don´t matter. If you want to play them, you can download the instruction booklet with tabs sheet music, chord diagrams etc. for free on my website. Have fun. Cheers :)
Saludos amigo

Thank you 🙏
What is that incredible reverb effect that sounds like a synth has been triggered!?!?
It's a wah filter into the reverb. Sounds spacy ;)
I feel I can play it better when removing my thumb from the base notes instead of resting it on the note. Is that ok?
In Flamenco the thumb plays always with rest stroke. It creates that "Flamenco sound" and is absolutely necessary for other Flamenco techniques (Alzapua) as well. Continue patiently (daily practice to train your muscle memory)) and you will progress. Cheers :)
