I get that you're selling here and your focus is on that. But Brenton, I'll make another request when your time frees up for a reception video on your antennas! Would truly love to see that as many dream to be able to have such gain and seeing what the bands really look like on a radio like the 7850 would be quite a treat. Using the rotor, etc. operating that station.
love to, especially since we are just about to pop the 4 element 40m Optibeam up about 60', should be a fun antenna again.. running all new heliax's to three towers as well so hopefully we can do some progress videos of all of this, and i just bought an entire crane truck to do this work, so some good videos coming for sure...cheers Brenton vk3cm
Wow, what a very clean looking radio. I have one that a good friend gave me. I just tuned down the AM power to 4 watts so as not to abuse the finals since it's an old radio and from what I have learned, finals for it is very very hard to find this days. Is there a replacement that you can recommend for it? I love this 2510, in fact I have already made several contacts with it to Europe and Brazil with my farthest was 19,000 plus kilometers from where I'm at.
Was a great radio except it will not do 10 meter repeaters no split & no CTSS tone board same for the President Lincoln as its the same radio. If I remember correctly you need to solder 3 pins together on the main chip (1250) & it will go down to 2600 MHz & up tp 29.699 MHz by using the band selector. Also many unlock the RIT so it will affect the transmit as well as receive but that is preference. -73's
I had one of these back in the day in UK for mobile. Was a great little rig. Friend brought a couple over from the states on a visit. 73
