The best 27 mod is to mod the fix/vfo switch and fit the diodes so it actually reads 27! I got a 130 that had all the buffers replaced with 2sc945’s. Completely dead because they had been put in backwards even though they were clearly marked on the silkscreen 😂

I promise you this a muscle car…has always been a muscle car…in 1959 it was one of the fastest cars…when they . stepped on the accelerator you got sucked back in the seat…your stomach went into a state of “rush” and you were off…

i love the car ive worked at chevy dealers for years and ive drove all the new cars got them ready for people to buy worked in the body shops runnin them fix lots of cars from 1950 to 19 95 my fav vette is 53 and 65 = and 2024 = 200 plus mph

Turning off the preamp will give you better signal to noise performance. You're picking up a lot of atmospheric noise in the background. Switching to AGC-slow will smooth out the audio.

ok on other ham operators what they do for each other but and its but if you haven't got a licence they treat you like a cb operator witch they think is shit and if you want to get your operators licence they either rip you of or look down there nose at you i can say this i no 3or4 here think they are so smart i prove they dont and been called a smart ass

I have Yeasu's FT-450at... Same "class" chassis. Love it. Those little Icoms are a tough and boast a nice set of features. Very under appreciated rigs! 73

when i was a boy my cousin got a brand new 59 vette and she took me for a ride, i still remember the little round white door knobs. it only had a small motor like a 265 or maybe 283 and was the only time i have ever been in a corvette. it was white with red accents.

I'm in the process of buying a used one that's operating well. Can the glass covering the LED and meter display easily be replaced by taking out the 4 screws?

Lowering the RF gain and using headphones or an external speaker makes a huge difference in these and older vintage radios. You see tons of youtube videos with the RF Gain full open and I always wonder why the hell do that lol ... you're not going to miss any weak stations by lowering the RF gain to a correct a level and you reduce that background static hash noise. In many cases you never have to use the DSP unless you have strong local noise.

$859.00 in DX enginnering is overpriced in my opinion. Better deal is to get a 7300 for a little more with discount. Actually, ham radio new stuff is way overpriced these days.
