Kevin had good moments in season 2 and his dynamic and development with shawn was great In season 3 he also had great moments with his entire comeback story.
I kind of think you summarised his story arc well, I get the whole him deserving better, but we saw a guy go from being the teams ace, to jealous secondary striker, to accepting his partner, to the point where no one could replace him in his mind. Countless injuries, setbacks, he never stopped driving himself forward. I completely agree he needed more season 1 spotlight, but I truly believe this came full circle in season 3, man was on the starting lineup for Inazuma Japan. Hard work brings results, Kevin encapsulates that for me
Kevin somehow always seemed to be the most hard working while at the same time being the most overshadowed character in the whole series. I’m surprised over the fact that Jack proved to be much more useful and frankly, the only character which was part of the raimon team from episode 1 all the way to the end despite the show making it very clear that he isn’t that strong and is a little pasive and cowardly. I don’t have anything against him but I’m surprised. Kevin is the opposite of Jack in terms of personality which you would expect to make him be more seen yet he isn’t.
nicely said and ye ig the difference between the 2 really is how jack has had multiple episodes dedicating his growth (like the inazuma drop episode or the episode he had to get used to darren being the new gk) while kevins were mostly off screen
Yeah I only remember him scoring twice in the whole series and he is supposed to be a striker in the main team. He scored once that too in a shoot chain with tenma/arion against gassan kunimitsu and then against some punks in chrono stone
It’s crazy because in the first DS game and when you beat occult, Kevin doesn’t have anymore story dialogue whatsoever throughout the remainder of the game.
This is kinda a flaw of having a sports anime and games have, with so many characters, some are gonna be left to the side. I feel Kevin gets more development in later seasons and in the Go series he's a professional player, so compared to some other characters in the series who retired from playing soccer and/or just not mentioned at all, he's one of the luckier characters.
true though it is because he had it "better" then the rest of the original eleven that it is also alot more noticeable with kevin how he got sidelined while the others already kind of were sidelined to begin with and so u don't think of it really.
I can only Imagine that Kevin was since the beginning a side character like the other Raimon players (except Axel, Jude and in some ways Nathan and jack). The others are Just to fill the space in the field. Bobby and Erik Just remain for some episodes and then disappears in the 2nd and 3rd season, so i dont count them either. Also, speaking of second season, the team was revoluzionized and Lost the useless players who didnt fit since the beginning and add more interesting Ones (2nd season Is the best imo). So i believe that the plot was focused since the beginning on Mark, Jude and Axel and the rest Just come and go as Need. Also, this trend Is kept on Inazuma Eleven go where only Arion, Ricardo and Victor stay on all seasons while the team change.
I agree entirely but i think Kevin has one of the best developpement here, started as jealous of being secondary, then accept his mate so much that he couldn't stand him being replaced, then to accepted the new tamented player, wished for more power with alius seeing Axel and Shawn so much above him and reached his peak in S3, he help et understand everyone, always see the goodsides, know the better the definition of hardwork among any character, bro never gived up and shine when he come back, absolute goat, I wish we gaved him more goal in S3
To me they needed to throw him off cuz they threw off everybody in attack position at that time (i mean the injury in second season) think about every striker in raimon, they really wanted axel to shine, as every other time in every season. (Byron got demolished by chaos, shawn gets mental problems and can't play, and they never even get shadow in the team, wasted opportunity for me)

his season 2 story def is his best one out the 3. Season 3 besides the knights of queen match i dont remember him doing too much ngl 😅
@@Luxking in season 3 I do remember his sacrifice against little giants but he didnt do too much
Axel got co-op after co-op thought season 1 while Kevin got only 1 co-op that became obsolete after the first half of the season.
exact for someone who was so direct about being called Raimon's ace striker he sure didn't feel like one.
Kevin is so forgetable

So essentially man became a Ousmane Dembele 😭

At least this guy got some time in the spotlight. If we really want to talk about a sidelined IE striker, take a look at what they did to Kaiser!
Who kaiser again
kaiser is garbage stfu he was rude to tenma for no reason so I have no remorse for him

I mean yeah but also literally almost all of the original eleven got hard shafted beside mark axel and Jude he had it better then most

the final shot (fire tornado x the phoenix is called "the final tornado" on the wiki! just wanted to let you know
Personally I would have called it "Grand Phoenix".
Kevin is the goat🐐
I didn’t liked kevin in s1 but in s3 he was really likeable with his hard work and mindset
Kevin is my favorite character in the entire series so I’m glad someone is talking about how much more he deserved
i haven't even watched the video yet but that title's already worthy of a like.
To be fair to Kevin he did score the first goal against royal academy in the rematch

I swear the new co protagonist is vindication for Someoka...
Fortunately they didn't do the same thing to one of the ace strikers in GO :)
They did him even more dirty
Steve too deserved more respect and character development
Kevin scored the winning goal against farm junior

...my name is literally Kevin... no wonder i was the worse player back when i played soccer
make one for midorikawa
I've only played inazuma 1 and 2 so far, kevin joining alius was so random i mean, his arc was already finished
he did not join alius?

Kevin was op as hell in season 2
what? he wasn't? Aiden did everything till he got injured and then afterwards Axel was the main striker again
Season 2 and 3 Kevin > Season 1 Kevin
i swear some of these kids in the comment section have never watched the anime or played the game, they are making such stupid claims
What do you mean? Are you saying Kevin Dragonfly was bad or what?
