Chris, I never comment but want to affirm you and say that you have cracked it. Always have been fascinated by Hogan but the old wisdom was that emulating him was the ruination of a million golf swings.
For myself I didn't see how I could work that flat one plane swing without a powerful hitting "slot." Now I see and feel all.
Coincident with finding your vids, I concluded that "swinging out to right field" -- trying to recapture my old baby draw -- would keep my hips from clearing and even produce some nasty snap hooks.
Junking that, orbiting not lifting, and clearing properly, cold air, cold balls, no swings in a month, after some bad initial swings, I whistled some hybrids farther, straighter, more penetrating than I could imagine. Straight up, it's the truth, the natural shallowing, the core rotation and lack of waste motion. And trusting the club head's path once you incorporate the rest. High praise.

Man, I really enjoyed this video. I’m recovering from a stroke and not able to play. Last year I was 71 to 78 and broke 70 three different times. I started to play at 6 years old; I’m 63. I know a lot about the golf swing, but my transitional move could be better. Your video will definitely help. Who says, « you can’t teach an old dog new tricks »…. Thanks Chris.

If your heel goes up how can weight be 50/50
Because pressure is on the inside part of ball joint of the lead foot. That pressure is equal to the trail foot.

Ben hogan gave us a path and clues. Ben hogan didn't want to just give the information away , It would have had no value if everyone had it. He wanted you to have to work for it. He knew what the tipsy gave you would figure it out in time. He even stated this. He said an intelligent person will go on to play better golf Their whole life. He worded it differently but that is exactly what he meant

I got my device today! Unfortunately it is to small for me. I am 6’5. Anyone have any thoughts on something to use for taller players? I am thinking cutting broom down but thought I would ping group for advice.
Set the end, bottom on card board box, or stack of books until it is right for you. It might work. Let us know.

85ish. imo most players can not roll/unroll the hands like hogan. i tried it for a while and i could never get the club closed. right rough every time. takes REALLY strong hands/wrists.

Thanks Chris, for the golden training feel. This works so much better than, the other versions of this drill like...butt against the wall, butt against the chair. I have a long handled, adjustable window squeegee that is a little less than belt high, in length and works like a champ. The T shaped window brush that I use to scrape car windows in the winter, also works very well. I had no problem at all hitting drivers and 3 woods off the deck after using this excellent feel drill.
Both of these devices serve a dual purpose, because they also work well with a swing plane drill that I'm having good luck with... (broom drill golf...RUclips)

Great instructional video! At the end of the backswing should you feel like your (butt) is falling into your left side like Nicklaus used to do? Thanks
When you start understanding the way Hogan moved his body, the butt falling to the left will happen naturally. Most people call it a re-centering move, but in reality it is a cause and effect of the motion.
I have talent and I’m so confused how many even want to hit balls I’m trying to learn from you. I have lost confidence and I got pretty good hands and I could just figure it out.

Got my stick. It seems to be little bit to short for me (6 feet, 4 i) so i put some sanding paper discs with double sided tape on the sitting part and now it doesn't slide off anymore
