I was personally impressed with the extent they went to in order to fix all these problems with my rifle. Sure, it's annoying to have problems, but these days when a company stands behind the product and supports their warranty like that I'm very happy. It just gives confidence that any future rifles I might buy from them, I don't need to worry about glitches because they will have my back. And the fact they are in Canada makes it so easy to ship the thing back and forth.

When Canadian manufacturers have been rightfully deserving of flack in the past for poor QC, finishing, cheap parts, and lacking quality in general, it's been rightfully pointed out and criticized - so it's also cool to see these companies finding solutions to issues rather than ignoring them and being credited for it. BCL is not without its share of past and present issues of both the firearm and after-sales support variety (the BCL 102 being a prime example); however, it's been good to hear how they've worked to rectify issues with the Bison and the updated firing pin for the newly released SRV2 Siberian.
While it's generally always better to get things right off the get go, and for some, this won't bring them back after they've been turned off, it's definitely good to see and an improvement over how things have been with BCL in years past.

Would you recommend this for the price now, or something else?

Was looking at one of these.
Still keen but will wait until a true gen 2 is made not a 1.1 1.2 or even 1.3.
Ive seen seen scores if these come up for sale including serials under 2000 and post 3000 but honestly cant warrant buying one until people start praising them more.
Its got a lot going for it but like anything these days it seems normal to create something and get it out there asap to get the ball rolling and cash flowing.
This practice seemed to start in the early 90s and has snow balled ever since.
Its sad that its deemed acceptable to sell a product thats shit right out of the box.
    Wtf

Do you think this can be reliably operated as a lefty in non bench rest positions? Thanks

Well I use the two point sling method, keep your sling tight and you can keep your finger near the trigger guard as you manipulate the bolt.

Mine is in the 300 range of production, and read someone say to register the firearm with BCL, and they would fix up any problems.
So I figured, why not. I haven't had any issues with mine so for, but what the heck. About a week after I registered it, they send me an email outlining what new parts they were going to send me, and I just had to fill out a form for it. About a week later, new parts came in the mail. Still in the envelope that it was sent in, but gathering from the instructions that were sent with it, that it is a complete new firing pin assembly, just have to take the bolt apart and do the change over myself.

Email them again. If they don't reply, hit me up and I'll give you the email of the support person I spoke to.

Rule #1, never buy a canadian firearm on their first run. You are almost guaranteed to run into issues, especially BCL and Kodiak arms.

They have screwed over all the Glock 19 clone (Foxbat) customers. Took the money in October. It’s 6 months now! Still waiting for the Foxbat. Stay away from this company!!
