I predict your agriculture project will be a success! I anticipate your additional videos on the project. It would be great to see videos on the land preparation/clearing the stones, etc. I'll include you and your business in my prayers and meditations to send you positive energy in succeeding with your new venture. Exito!
Congratulations!!! And yes, your father was/is absolutely correct about investing in agricultural. Smart decision. God bless your land and harvest. Amén. 🙏🏽🙌🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
First of all, congratulations on taking this new step in the agriculture business. I knew there was a great purpose of having you on my subscription list as I'm too interested in starting my agriculture business in DR. I need further details on everything you do regarding your business and the right people to connect with to make it happen! I wish you the very best on your journey! Good luck 🤞 Peace from the Middle East ✌️
I love it!! Agriculture is the future so trust me you will earn a lot of profit in this business venture. Im starting to think you're planning to take over DR 🤔🤣
@@NorberisR save a slice for me!! Growing your own foods is one of the best things you could ever do. You know how its grown, what goes in it, and its much cheaper. Living in the caribbean, most of the produce i ate was home grown.
I thought about it but upon looking at the acres I already see some potential challenges. First you have to get the soil tested. It good to know about soil contamination. This will give you an idea also of how rich or how acidic the soil is. If it's full of clay it's difficult to have crops to take root. The other very visible issue is there are quite a few stones or bedded rock. You need to assess how far down the bedrock goes. Third is the land flat so a water retention pond can be constructed. It can be done but there's much planning to be done as well as field work... Good luck in your business venture. My grandfather was an agricultural agent in Mississippi. I learned a lot from him... A track skid steer & tractor with multiple attachments for farm equipment is essential. It's hours of work but can be done over time. You'll need to create sections for areas to be planted as well as channels for irrigation & run off. This is also where most people get into owning cattle because they naturally produce fertilizer through grazing . It's similar to creating an mini eco system so that it's self sustained. ..
Thank you for sharing this. And yes we've assessed the land by hiring technicians and experts that understand how agriculture is done in DR. We trust their expertise on the preparation of the land based on their previous work to give us accurate and factual information. My father was also a farmer in his early years. Although, the concept of agriculture is the same different countries use different techniques to get the results based one what is available to them. Great observation.
My parents have land in the driest area of the DR (Montecristi) and the production is amazing. The DR has blessed soil and ideal weather year round. I literally had my own little productive garden as a child all on my own; no effort at all; adults would eat the corn I grew. It’s like you just throw a seed and it grows!
One of my subscribers just sent me an email yesterday investigating about how to invest in agriculture in the DR. I guess I’ma have to refer him to your channel.
Congratulations and good fortunes with that. Your dad deserves a Christmas bonus for his persistency. I'm sure he is proud of his daughter and son in-law. I'm interested in the end results when crops go to market. Such as where do you take the crops to sell. Do you set a flat rate or do shop owners bid or bargain the price. I wish nothing but the best for your family venture.
Good Idea to grow your own food during this pandemic that way you ca help control prices I bought 900 metro in Bonow and was thinking of during something similar but not sure how to go get started so I will be getting pointers from you

Norberis R ? in the Dominican Republic. How do you keep away the Tarántulas spiders and snakes ? is there something you use to keep them away from your house ?
I have about 2000 USA dollars that I would like to invest somehow in the DR I'm not trying to be a millionaire tomorrow but I want to do something with what I do have any ideas?
This budget will not get you far in terms of investment. The small restaurant we just opened cost around $4000. So im sure what is available with a $2,000 budget. I recommend trying save at least $10,000. This may open up other possibilities.
@@NorberisR ok thanks for the feedback also my girlfriend who lives in the d.r is trying to learn English do you have any programs or website something that can help her for free?
@@joshuaalexander8327 Sorry I don't. English lessons are not expensive there you should see what it would cost to have here take classes. Other than that she should practice with you often. Watch tv and listen to music in English.
Thank you Norberis! As a Dominican who was born in the United States, Im always interested on how things work over there. I like your videos, because they provide me a view on life in the country that I do not really get. I really appreciate your effort! I hope to learn more and more!
The agreement between you guys being the (land/business) owners and the agriculture supervisor isn't that a form of sharecropping? I understand that every culture/country have different labor laws. But that's definitely illegal in the United States for a person to work an only be paid base upon the profits or percentage of the production. The work around this issue in the states is that person would have to be paid a base salary/income and the commission from the gains of production goes on top for those services
Great question. 1) It's not their land its ours. It can only be share cropping if they owned the land and we rented out. This is not the case at all. 2) they presented this agreement themselves. But to answer your question. Laborers who work will be paid accordingly to DR labor laws. I'm talking about the Agriculture Supervisor who will oversee the production and manage to workers. They are typically paid by a percentage of the crop.
The Dr Economy is booming y’all let’s take advantage!!

My Dad was the supervisor he has experience in planting and farming.
