@@Tanner731, like only second half of the year having the 29 spline chrysler 8.25" rear diff. Mine's a 96 but it was built in January of 96 so only 27 splines for me.
Thank you I am looking to buy some kind of tent system but I’ve been worried about having to climb up into a rooftop. I will definitely check him out though. My wife and I are just getting older only reason for the hesitation of a roof top. But we’re I like to go there are a lot of bears so it would be a greater security than ground camping
I'm curious what you decided on? I think the bear thing may be a big draw for people considering these and I would just like to point out if a bear decides to enter your tent its not going to matter where it is. a bear will also peel open a car door to get what it wants so the best security is always to keep what it wants out of where you are.
This might be a dumb question but here goes..... I have a regular 97 jeep straight 6 4.0 Do I need to do suspension work or upgrades to buy and install one of these tents? They are freaking awesome!
ok help me understand this the tent costs $4000 before shipping you can expect to lose substantial gas mileage due to the profile change, 2-5 mpg I think what does that whole setup on the roof weigh? 200 pounds? more mpg losses it probably doesnt improve the offroad handling or capabilities where could you expect to set this up where you couldnt set up a tent? theres no leveling system?
@@jcjeeps do you have one where you show how to open and close it? Show the key highlights/qualities over others? I was about to pull the trigger on the CSV 270 then I saw yours on trail recon...now I'm undecided...hoping you or HOG will help me decide.
Joe Cerda I don’t have a video on that part but it does open in about 30 seconds super solid and easy to use, hog is an awesome company if you get in contact with them Sam will take great care of you!
Amazing bro the best love jeep cherokee xj
I went to the website and I didn't see any tents
wow .......... the hills gear looks amazing and great price points .......... Im sold !!!!
can you open the rear hatch and then pull the awing aournd? If you have a pull out kitchen that would be aswesome
Looks awesome! I really want to get into a RTT setup in the next couple years but I want to get my suspension and drivetrain built first
96 is the unicorn year for me. Last year for that body style and interior, first year for the OBDII port.
96 had a lot of 1 year only annoying shit, is the obd2 that important?

Krystal Korhonen not a dumb question! You actually will need upgraded suspension to help carry the tent and gear.

how tall are you? maybe its the angle of the jeep but im just curious about headroom under the awning?
I’m 6ft and still have a room to walk under
With the awning over the rear hatch can u open the rear hatch all the way or does it hit?
It does hit but you can still access it
Is there a way to install it?
Nice rig!
Show us how it closes, Please?
I will try to post a quick video!
What roof rack are you using?
It’s the base of the jcr off-road adventure roof rack
