how far was your remote cable plugged into the winch control pack? i just installed mine and it wont power. the bluetooth isnt working and the hardwired doesnt power up. it seems like the cable that plugs into the control pack doesnt go in that far.

You would be surprised stock. Cherokees are very capable with just tires and lockers my xj is on Ford 8.8 and 30 up front about 12 inches of lift if you had to put number on it on 39.5 /16.5 /15 pit bulls full cage lockers just need winch ! Let's go wheel!

I’ve bought a r.e. 3.5 inch lift which apparently is more like a 4 inch lift from forums. Do you think I’ll be able to fit 33x10.5 with stock flares? (99’ sport model)

Nice build. I got a JLUR on d44 rcvs up front and rear chromolys running 38s 4.88 gears. My friend keeps telling me to one ton swap it and get 40s. He thinks that I can just swap it for $2-3k because "junkyard axles" can be found for $500 each. I have still yet to find a cheap 1 ton swap (not including tires) for less than $8k..

Where in NC are you? I'm over in Elizabeth City. I plan to go out to Uwharrie in a couple weeks. Have made a couple trips out to Windrock and plan to again this fall. Know any other good places out this way to wheel?

Been doing the same thing for my 97. You won’t regret the axel swap. I was lucky enough to have a great friend who builds jeeps in Miami Oklahoma. Jeepers and Creepers. Johnny found a guy who rolled his 2017 Rubicon and we put the Dana 44s with the E-Lockers in and man what a tremendous upgrade.

You can run 16x7 stock 2000 or 2001 XJ Icon wheels with LT235/85r16 (31.7") without cutting on 3 inch lift.

Agreed, I have a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Sahara and just spent $3700. On the ticking engine work. Just before I had to replace the radiator it was making an airplane landing noise. Overall I do love my jeep just several issues that you mentioned 👍 I might look into a Getting a Rubicon thanks

I daily a 2007 jku. Lifted, 35s it gets up and goes just fine. It is the automatic which came with 4.10 gearing. In the future I’ll be regearing it to 4.88

What to look on a 2001 Cherokee sport 4wd

We have a 2017 Grand Cherokee and love it. Am knocking on the door of 70, time to abandon motorcycles and just bought a 2015 JKU Sahara Altitude. I think it will be a nice change right up our alley. It will be much different from a CJ 7 we had years ago. 😅
