  • This wasn't supposed to a keep car and I ended up failing in love with it! I sold my Cadillac to keep this car - no regrets! We get it driving down the road and start getting the interior ready for some minor rust repair.

    Dear Brittany and Daniel,
    This 1964 Rambler Ambassador Cross Country Wagon seems to run very well and we think she drives comfortable as well. In the Netherlands we call this an old school American design so WIlleke and I think it’s worthwhile to offer her a complete restoration. We know this is not something you like to do but believe us we are convinced that when she had a complete restoration she will be very valuable. We look forward to your next vlog and send you love from the Netherlands

      It is very rare but these are not worth much in the US so a full restoration can only be justified if one has a specific value (emotional or historic). Here in the EU that's a different story particularly if you can find one which was imported into Europe back in the day, a Renault Rambler would be nice for sure...

    • @dickdegraaff5452
      @dickdegraaff5452 7 месяцев назад

      @@tturtle1659 Well the Renault Rambler is indeed very rare. First because in the beginning this car was produced in Venezuela in later Renault started to produce the car in Belgium . Historically AMC and Renault were cooperating a lot together but producing such a big car in Europe for the European market wasn’t a great success first of all due to the high petrol consumption but more important is the fact that in these years Renault started to produce cars which started rusting already in the brochure😀. It took a couple of years to solve this problem.
      In 1984 theJeep Cherokee was AMC’s Greatest Hit, thanks to Renault because the design came from Renault. The car even got sold under the name Renault but was produced by AMC in the USA.

    🤣😂🤣 In the description you said “…failing in love with it. 😂🤣😂 I’m sure you meant falling but it left me wondering if that was a Freudian slip and a sign of things to come. 🤣

    Not something I would usually bring up, but I noticed Brittany's hair color changed. Looks great. Maybe it happened in an earlier episode, Probably just me not noticing. I love the Rambler wagon. Lots of room for hauling stuff to and from car shows and antique shopping.

      Thank you, no that was recent. Yes! That was our thought process with the wagon.

    Dad had Rambler Wagon in the early 60s he said he liked it better than the Ford wagon then in the 70s he bought a Buick had three row seats

      That's interesting he preferred the Rambler over the Ford. We were hoping this one had 3 rows but it only has the 2.

    the bad rust is from the heater box ,they rust badly.I had to remove my front fenders and fix it from the side,repairing it from under the dash is almost impossible. The water pools down into the floors soaks the rug and you get rust. Just remember rust never sleeps.

      We have another Rambler here that is a customers and it has the same thing going on as well, makes sense.

    Likely the carb had some water in it and in the freeze and thaw cycles it squished it good ;)

    Can t get over that engine runs perfect , think the 5 digit odometer said 9000 means that car only has 109k low miles obviously not for sure but with any old car you have to assume some things doubt its been around twice or 3 times motor sounds too good premium fuel for pre ignition spark ping that engine was designed for it anyway . Good work . Be nice to find that center seat material for the trim man, that would really doll it up

    • @ResurrectedGarage
      @ResurrectedGarage  6 месяцев назад

      That was our thought process as well with how well the engine runs but you can never be sure. Yes that would make it look really good!

    The ambient noises of the cameras mic when she was removing the interior it was weird and funny like we were listening to the audio like it was inside a drain pipe type effect sound best way I can describe it to my ears but great video nonetheless 😅.

      @ResurrectedGarage  6 месяцев назад

      Sorry about the audio, it was really windy the day I was shooting and I tried to "de-noise" the audio through the audio editor.

      Super cool! We will have to be careful about the oil pan, can't wait to get it out on the highway and let it stretch it's legs.
