  • We bought this 1962 Cadillac Coupe Deville over five years ago as a parts car for Brittany's '62 Sedan Deville. Now that Brittany's car is gone we decide it's finally time to get this Caddy back on the road. Armed with a used motor and some determination, can we get it running?

I'm a retired electrician and have had a split screw driver for years! Came in handy all my years in the trade. Love them caddies!

Be careful running it hot, this series engine is prone to cracking cylinder heads with overheating. Cool rig, I had a '62 series 62 2 door hardtop, great cars!

Thanks! We had one of the Caddy's we had previously run hot on us when we were out driving, we caught it in time and after getting home checked it out to make sure it was ok. We've enjoyed all the ones we've had so far.

Those screwdrivers have been around forever. Not very popular after they started putting Phillips in things. Spot On, they work great.

Daniel picked that screwdriver up at the swap meet many years ago, it's been a trooper.

    Hi Brittany and Daniel,
As you know WIlleke and I owned a 1969 Cadillac Coupe de Ville convertible so we’re quite familiar with such a car. Our Cadillac was almost in a concourse condition so she did look beautifully and wherever we were going we always had a lot of spectators and people always asked us all kind of questions about the car. Much to my regret and after driving and keeping the car in top condition, we had to sell the car because maintaining such a car since we had to find all kind of spare parts in the USA and also due to the ridiculous petrol prices with us. The car was privately too expensive to maintain and to drive adding my age what did made me more difficult to do the heavy works myself there was no other option. Lucky wise we were able to sell the car to a company who’s driving people for a marriage in beautiful weather because there was a certain demand for that next to the classic 4 doors sedan they own. That’s the same type but 1 year older.
We still are great fans of these types of Cadillacs so it was nice to see this vlog. Willeke and I look forward to your next vlog and send you love from the Netherlands

The parts here aren't hard to find for us, but they are just typically more expensive. "The Cadillac Tax". That's nice that the car went on to be enjoyed and used by others for weddings. That's sweet! Thank you guys :-)
