Hey GCG Nation! There is a accidental duplicate line at 4:16…definitely not intentional lol. Apologies on that oversight!
Yes we noticed. It was so jarring lol
I work for Behaviour Interactive the company that made Scaler. Back then, they where called A2M. There's a big cardboard cutout of Scaler near the cafeteria so I think of this game almost every day lol
Oh wow, that's awesome!! Glad to hear that Scaler is still a part of (now) Behaviour Interactive, and would love to see that remastered or make a return nowadays! Thanks again to your team for doing an awesome job making that game!
It was an honor to be a part of this EPIC collab!!
It was awesome to have you take part in this collab man! Thanks again, and here's to more collabs in the near future!
This was fun to watch. And nice collab dudes.👍
Tak and the Power of Juju, PN:03, and Odama are others too.
Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed the collab! Tak and the Power of Juju is one I’ve heard great things about. PN 03 I actually have covered in my first Hidden Gems video 👍. Odama I just recently covered on another episode called “MORE GameCube Exclusives”, and agree that it’s another hidden gem (that’s a wild experience lol). Thanks for checking out the video! I’ll leave links to the other videos here covered PN 03 and Odama if interested to hear my thoughts as well!

Thanks for shedding light on these games. Roadkill looks incredible, how am I just hearing about this like 20 years later? Fantastic work as always!
Sure thing! Roadkill is definitely one I felt flew under the radar! Glad you enjoyed the video man! Appreciate you checking it out!
Love the list, so appreciate you putting these videos together!! Makes it so easy to pick which gc game to play next
Glad you enjoyed it, and that it helps in which GC games to check out next! Thanks for checking out the video!
Just came across this channel and absolutely love it! A huge nostalgia trip for me and the GC is undoubtedly my favourite console ever. Keep up the great work, man!
Thank you man! Glad you came across the channel, and always awesome to have another GC fan checking out the content! Such an amazing console that never got the recognition it deserved. Hope you continue to enjoy the content!
Great selection of games man!
Thank you man! Glad you enjoyed it!
Also, I'm still behind on catching your latest video on DS games...but planning to finally catch up on it in the next day or so!
Almost all Gamecube games are even more incredible when you play them in HD.
Agreed! Thanks for checking out the video!
Another great video! Scaler definitely going on my to get list. Keep up great work
Thanks man! Scaler is such a hidden gem, and can't wait to continue it!
I remember the first Bloody Roar on the PS1 and loved the concept of changing from a person to an animal.
It was such a unique fighter back then! I discovered it many years after it released, and was surprised at how great of a game it was. Thanks for checking out the video!
Awesome collab and list! Definitely hop you guys do more!
Thanks guys! We’re definitely planning to do more collabs! 👍
Always a treat to see a video from you.
Thank you man! That truly means a lot!
I have Blowout for the GameCube and it's a really solid Metroidvania-style run-and-gun game. I feel like a game like this could work perfectly on modern consoles where 2D games are far more common than they were back in the early 2000's when the game originally released. It's certainly a hidden gem if ever there was one.
That's one I want to play one day myself, as RetroWolf has told me prior that it's a solid game for sure. I agree that if it were re-released now on the current consoles, it'd probably fare better. Thanks for checking out the video man!
I definitely knew nothing about Bloody Roar Primal Fury and Blowout but after I saw Gameplay footage of both games, I’m immediately got interested in trying them out and best thing about Blowout is that it’s cheap and awesome at the same time. Either way Great Video as always GameCube Galaxy.
Thanks man! Bloody Roar is one that I can't understand why many never even tried it on the GameCube, and Blowout is one that RetroWolf has recommended to me several times. Glad you enjoyed the video, and appreciate your support man!
Dammit! I wanted P.N. 03 to get a mention so badly.
I guess it really is THAT damn obscure.
Oh I’ve got you covered! I’ve featured P.N. 03 in multiple videos before! Here they are:

Great video guys. That blowout game looks very interesting and right up my alley!
Thanks man! Yeah, Blowout is one RetroWolf has told me is a fun one for sure! I still need to get that game myself actually lol. Thanks for checking out the video man! Really appreciate it!
Nice list of lesser known games! I'll have to check out Roadkill, Summoner and Pool Nation for sure! More games going on the wishlist lol! Great video and keep up the good work!
Thanks Dan! Definitely check those games out, as I think you'll enjoy them! Always appreciate the support man!
Finally a game that I own appears on 1 of these lists : I love Pool Paradise but find it funny that they spent all the budget on the pool table physics & so you just have disembodied hands & the “profile pics” for the characters look like they were made on the Megadrive/Genesis 🤣
Lol nice! Yeah, Pool Paradise is definitely a really cool one, and can see where the concessions were made with the disembodied hands and profiles pics, but I’d say that was a good call to ensure the game itself was great 👍! Thanks for checking out the video man!
@@GameCubeGalaxy no worries, enjoyed it
Weird, I have never even heard of Zoocube, lol. But that cover looks oddly nostalgic and maybe could be a lost memory for me
It's an obscure one for the GameCube, but apparently an addictive one! Thank you for checking out the video!
The ultimate collaboration between two higher powers... better than Batman and Superman, Albert Einstein and DeVinci, Trump and DeSantis.... what a marvelous inception of GameCube knowledge. Love that you brought up Bloody Roar, I actually have that one and I'm looking forward to firing it up. I've never heard of ZooCube but it looks fascinating. Loved the writing and intro into Roadkill.... don't think I didn't catch that ; ) also, RoadKill is a guilty pleasure of mine. Played a ton of the demo back in the day. I have the Hobbit on the Xbox but still haven't popped it in yet. Mmmmm Summoner... has great cover art. Lol silly 14 year old Marcello. I also have BlowOut but on the Xbox. Was that RetroWolf in SRS?? OMG I'm dying with the dance videos. Scaler reminds me of Spyro too much, I didn't know the premise so I'm glad you explained it including the gameplay. Not really surprised that Tonka Rescue Patrol is boring lol.
The ultimate comment right here! Such high praise! Definitely fire up Bloody Roar! Such a good fighting game for the GC. Zoocube is an interesting looking one, but RetroWolf has told me a few times in the past that it is a very addictive puzzle game. Haha glad you liked that intro writing for Roadkill! Glad to hear you've played the game before too! Hobbit is one I need to get myself for the GameCube, and seems like a good one! Haha Summoner's cover is definitely eye-catching! I forgot Blowout released on the Xbox as well lol. Lmao that wasn't RetroWolf in SRS...or maybe it was? The dance videos though...that's on another level haha! Scaler is so damn good and can't recommend it enough! Tonka Rescue Patrol...yeah...lol. Thanks for checking out the video man, and for the awesome comment!
Awesome video, I have not played any of these and I am currently putting them on my Micro SD card. New experiences with older games is always welcomed. Appreciate the quality intent my friends.
Thanks man! Glad you found out about some more games to check out! Really appreciate you checking it out!
Fun fact: Bloody Roar primal fury got anime cutscenes on the GameCube while on the Xbox port they got full 3D cutscenes making both versions a bit different from each other and I believe the Xbox got more characters but I haven’t check
Oh wow, I didn't know that! Thanks for sharing that fun fact (and checking out the video) man!
Summoner was one of those games I wanted to play but never got around to back in the day. I think you've just added another list to my "look out for it" games, thanks! Love seeing these kinds of lists.
Summoner is such a cool game! Definitely one to check out! Thanks for watching the video man! Always appreciate the support!
They should re-release Summoner 2 for the Switch.
@@thewingedavenger1007 That would be pretty awesome. 👍
@@thewingedavenger1007 or bundled both together in a re-release physical cart. Either way I'd buy that.
Since nobody’s mentioned it yet, Scaler is voiced by Matt Mercer and was his first big role
Good point to highlight! Thanks for checking out the video!
Scaler was one of my first games ever on ps2, loved it as a kid and still has one of the more beautiful worlds I've ever seen in any game, it's just so cool to look at
Great video! It's so interesting when a good/great game goes unnoticed. I totally own SRS....and I was pretty much the only person I knew that had it, lol.
Thank you man! That’s awesome you have SRS! Definitely a good game that was overshadowed.
Great vid! The Hobbit and Scaler are great choices for hidden gems. Star Wars Bounty Hunter is a game in this category that I really enjoyed playing.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the choices of games mentioned here (especially The Hobbit and Scaler)! Star Wars Bounty Hunter is definitely a really good one! I actually covered that in my "Every Star Wars GameCube Game" episode back in May (if you're interested to hear my thoughts a bit more about the game)! Thanks again for checking out the video!
Great video like always! Pretty cool collab with Retrowolf too!
My personnal pick up for this topic would be Dinotopia The Sunstone Odyssey. It is pretty much a slow and boring action/adventure but I found myself beating it!
Thank you man! It was awesome having RetroWolf collab on this one as well! Ooo Dinotopia is one I've been meaning to try, and see how it is. I definitely plan to cover that on the channel in the future. Thanks again for checking out the video!
If it bares repeating, Bloody Roar PF is one of the main reasons I got a Gamecube. On top of every character having their own ending cut scene that would be perfect for it's own anime series, it was a great fighting game that let you play as penguin that could transform in to a buffed out phoenix.
Oh really? It really is a great fighting game on the GC! A fighting game that lets you transform into beast forms across a variety of animals is wild for sure. Thanks for checking out the video man!
Scaler actually more strongly reminds me of the Rayman games, particularly in the art design, crossed with the N64 hidden gems Chameleon Twist 1 & 2.
Interesting, I never thought of that comparison but could see that! Thanks for checking out the video!
wow all of these look awesome , especially Rescue Patrol 4! Just kidding lol, awesome video Marcello. You and Matt had some awesome picks worth trying out. Caught me with a Curveball at the end with RP4 😂. I am surprised he did not use his favorite game of all time Auto Modellista. Keep up the great work and content brother!
Glad you enjoyed seeing the games on this list! Ah, Tonka Rescue Patrol...I was intrigued when Matt told me he was covering that game. But oh boy, did he hate that game lmao! Come to think of it, I'm surprised he didn't mention Auto Modellista also lol! Thanks again for checking out the video man!
scaler actually looks really dope...
It really is! Complete hidden gem for sure! Thanks for checking out the video!
was that duplicate line deliberate at 4:16? Love all of these games you both mentioned (except tonka haha), especially summoner, love both of those games!
That was definitely not deliberate, but an unfortunate oversight honestly. When I was editing the video together last week, I was racing against the clock trying to prep for a hurricane approaching my area, and also getting ready to travel for a convention (which is what my next episode will be about actually). Good catch! Glad you enjoyed all the games mentioned (except Tonka of course, but RetroWolf did have a humorous delivery for the game lol). Thanks again for checking out the video man!
I worked at a game store for a while and some of these I don't even recall, wow!
Oh really? Glad you still learned about some games that never came through the store you worked at! Thanks for checking out the video man!
@@GameCubeGalaxy Yea, and I got some weird stuff their too, someone actually traded in Shadow Hearts 1 and 2, Ikaruga, and we got in things like Geist, Kof Maniax, and other really just plain odd things.
Another plus (for me) with Scaler is that the levels are linear. 1 Egg = 1 Path. There are no Collect X things, figure out X puzzle to get Eggs; unlike Mario 64, Banjo Kazooie.
I did enjoy that Scaler was a bit more linear for the genre it was in, and hence why I think it felt more like the Ratchet & Clank games. Definitely a hidden gem! Thanks for checking out the video man!
Awesome episode Marcello! I've never played any of these games, nor have I heard of any of them lol. Some of them look quite interesting tho.
Thank you, Mark! Glad you learned about more games you haven’t heard of!
I’m a sucker for a good mascot platformer. I definitely wanna check out Scaler now! Blowout also looks quite fun! Great list fellas! I always love learning about games I never knew existed! Stay awesome RetroWolf and GCG!
Oh man, Scaler is such an underappreciated game! Highly recommend it! Blowout is one RetroWolf has recommended for me to check out a few times, and does look cool! Glad you learned about some more games! Thanks for checking out the video as always man!
P.S. - Still need to catch up on your RPG video. 👍
I've emulated Scaler: and it's top tier platforming at it's finest! It's fun, colourful, entertaining, intuitive and has attitude
Agreed! Easily a hidden gem, and one that deserves more recognition. Thanks for checking out the video man!
Great list! My GC wish list isn't that long, maybe 15-20 games, and Scaler and Summoner are two I'd love to snatch up.
Thank you man! It may not be a lot, but Scaler and Summoner would easily be 2 more quality games for your GC library! Thanks again for checking out the video!
thanks for the insight
Glad you found value in the video! Appreciate you watching it!
Great video !
Thank you!!
The Bloody Roar game series has always been overlooked, even back when it was current. I never understood why. I love these games. Roadkill was a big hit back in its day, but completely forgotten nowadays. Great game tho. I never heard of Pool Paradise but it looks awesome.
Yeah, I'm not sure why Bloody Roar is so overlooked as a series. Roadkill is one I remember releasing and seemed interesting, but I never heard anyone talk about it (then or now). Kind of surprised that's the case. Pool Paradise is one RetroWolf always recommended to me, so much so that he bought me a copy at SouthEast Game Exchange (which is actually shown in my video covering that a few months ago) lol. It is an awesome one! Thanks for checking out the video man!
Hey man I really like your work. GameCube is one of my favorite consoles, and I really like discovering new games to try. A couple I’ve never heard you talk about are Gladius and Beyond Good and Evil, I recommend both as fun and unique games
Thank you man! Always awesome to see more GameCube fans! Gladius is one I’ve heard is quite good! I have it, but haven’t gotten around to trying it yet. Beyond Good & Evil is a FANTASTIC game for sure! That was such an engrossing experience from start to finish 👍. Thanks again for checking out the video!
I had DOA2 on the Dreamcast back in the day, and yeah, I agree, as soon as you showed that screenshot of Bloody Roar Primal Fury, my first thought was that it looked a lot like DOA2 as far as graphics.
Yeah, it definitely has that vibrant art direction and rich texture work. Glad to see someone else agrees! Thanks for checking out the video!
"Bloody Roar;Primal Fury " is the best "traditional" fighting game on the system, period.
It’s so good! Can’t believe no one really talks about that one. Appreciate you checking out the video man!
@@GameCubeGalaxy always a pleasure. I played quite a lot of it just last year and made sure everyone in my community took notice that despite the lack of blood it is surely the best entry in the whole series.
I love how you mentioned Bloody Roar: Primal Fury. That was one of my favorite games and I wish I had it today. The music was amazing in that game.
Glad to hear of another fan of that game! Such an underappreciated fighting game on the console 👍. Thanks for checking out the video!
@@GameCubeGalaxy it truly was. I have Soul Calibur 2 and still wish I had Bloody Roar
I always loved playing pool mini games (Super Monkey Ball, Wii Play, etc) but it never occurred to me to try a dedicated pool game, I'll have to keep that one in mind
Oh if you love pool mini-games, I definitely recommend Pool Paradise!
Ótimo trabalho 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you! Appreciate you checking out the video!
Glad there was stinker in there with tonka. Game looks like it was made for my toddler
Haha Tonka looks awful! I’ll take RetroWolf’s word on not playing that one…at least not anytime soon lol. I bet your toddler would find it too boring too 🤣. Thanks again for checking out the video man!
I'm kind of a sucker for pool video games, and I'm glad that Pool Paradise is getting some recognition here. Despite its age, the physics are actually pretty good & right next to Hustle Kings on PS4, Pool Paradise might be one of my favorite pool games!
Pool Paradise is so good! RetroWolf kept recommending the game to me (he actually picked me up a copy at SouthEast Game Exchange last summer), and was glad he covered it in this collab as well! Thanks for checking out the video!
Interesting thing about Bloody Roar Primal Fury is that it has a Japanese-exclusive character that did came in the Xbox version later on called Fang the Wolf. The Xbox version is called Bloody Roar Extreme. Also another difference in Bloody Roar Extreme on Xbox vs. Primal Fury on GameCube is that the Xbox FMVs are CGI while GameCube is anime. Heard arguments on what is better and honestly I think both are cool. They both have there own unique and quirky charm. It all comes down is if you like old CGI or like anime. The only other difference I could think of for Primal Fury vs. Extreme is the graphics. Either way it's an awesome game no matter if you choose the GameCube or Xbox versions.
Great comparisons to lay out here! It’s a shame the series as a whole kind of disappeared, because these are really fun fighting games. I’ll have to check out the Xbox version one day. 👍 Thanks for checking out the video!
I own Scaler and Roadkill. They're awesome and you're right, definitely are worth playing! I've been on the the verge of buying the Hobbit so many times and then I hear how frustrating it can be. I think you've talked me into trying out. The Summoner game is one I have seen before and always wondered about. If I can find it at a reasonable price I'll pick it up. I would add Dragon’s Lair 3D and maybe Looney Tunes: Back in Action to your list. I like those two games although most don't.
Scaler and Roadkill are definitely hidden gems! The Hobbit is one RetroWolf has told me about several times, and was glad he highlighted it here! Summoner had me hooked early in, and had a hard time putting the game down during my capture of it. Dragon's Lair 3D is one that would definitely would've been on this list, but I just covered it a few episodes ago (Halloween-Themed GameCube Games), and didn't want to be repetitious in a short time frame lol. I really liked that one too! Looney Tunes: Back in Action is one I haven't tried yet, but am curious to check out! Thanks for checking out the video!
Blowout is worth picking up. I just played through it and enjoyed it for the most part. Price of entry is low on this one too.
I picked up scaler a few months back. Tested it out and it seemed like it would be a fun game.
I haven't played or seen the others. Some I am happy about. lol
Good video.
I definitely need to play Blowout in the near future, as it seems solid for sure. Scaler definitely surprised me, and I look forward to continuing that game! Thanks again for checking out the video man!
wow this was actually good video that recommended actual games idk of instead lost kingdoms for the millionth time lol
Thank you man! While I've recommended the Lost Kingdoms games on various Hidden Gems videos, I also truly try to highlight much lesser known games so that viewers can learn more about the GameCube's library. I felt like RetroWolf and I's picks on this one truly fit the topic. Thanks again for checking out the video, and glad you enjoyed it!
good video!
Thank you man! Glad you enjoyed it!
Ahh Bloody Roar one of my faves on the system
A great one for sure! Thanks for checking out the video!
What is that little jingle at the start of the video? It’s super nostalgic but I can’t place it…
The little jingle is from the GameCube BIOS startup, and the song used for the intro section of the video is from Resident Evil Zero in the Dormitory/Chapel section of the game. Hope that helps, and thanks for checking out the video!
Ive been trying ti remember blowout forever I rented it once and always wanted to play it again but could never remember the name
Haha yeah, Blowout is a game Matt (RetroWolf88) has recommended that I should check out, as he's told me it's a fun one! Glad you finally came across the title again! Thanks for checking out the video man!
This was a really cool video. I thought I was the only one who played Summoner A Goddess Reborn. Lol. I thought you would like to know a little fact about the hobbit on the 6th gen systems. Apparently Peter Jackson was so unpleased with the game & after being impressed what EA was doing with Medal of Honor with Steven Spielberg he thought EA were the best developers /.publishers to make games off the lord of the rings trilogy as Sierra the publishers of the Hobbit would sadly go bankrupt.
Thanks man! Nice to know someone else who played Summoner A Goddess Reborn! That's a really interesting tidbit about the Hobbit/Lord of the Rings game development. Thanks for sharing that (and checking out the video)!
Blowout looks more like Blackthorne.
Huh, I never thought of that, but I could see that!
My picks are 1080 Avalanche ( Sure SSX 3 gets the crown!) which is actually a very fun game, Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg, P.N.03 and depending on what TV You have or had at the time Tomb Raider Legend because it looks prettier than the PS2 version! 🤨😎😉 Also Lost Kingdoms 1 and 2! 🤩
Superb picks for sure (all of which games I’ve covered in some capacity on the channel too 👍)! Tomb Raider Legend is one of my favorites, and one I did a very in-depth review for on the channel as well. It was impressive for the GameCube! Extra points for shouting out Lost Kingdoms 1&2, both of which are hidden gems for the GameCube! Thanks for checking out the video man!
Question what was the jingle used while Retrowolf talked about Zoocube?
Sorry I’m just seeing this comment now! The song is actually from Zoocube’s soundtrack but I don’t recall what the song itself is called. Hope this helps!
thanks for even coming back to my comment this does help thanks!!
@@marioguerra7917sure thing!
Awesome Collab and great video. Time to go buy more GameCube games and play SRS for…. Reasons…😏
Thanks man! And yes, play SRS...for reasons lmao! Really appreciate you checking out the video!
Gamecube overall is underrated some of the games were on xbox and ps2 but i prefer the Gamecube because the games hold more charm to be and the games that werent on other systems hold up better to me like custom robo luigi's mansion eternal darkness and many more.
Agreed 100% with everything you stated here. Thanks for checking out the video man!
Summoner looks like Draken
It does! Thanks for checking out the video!
I have a problem I can't play Eternal Darkness, I tried to install the game in different sites but the moment I installed it, it turns out black screen. help please did you have a link to that game , I really want to play Eternal Darkness
Blowout pool paradise and scaler all good calls. My 5 are metal arms glitch in the system, gladius, xgra, beach spikers volleyball, and honestly I dont think I really see it alot on youtube but I never look for it my 5th is capcom vs SNK 2 eo
Metal Arms is easily one of the biggest hidden gems for not only the GameCube, but the 6th-generation of consoles as a whole (this one is in my "Top 10 Hidden Gems for GameCube" video)! Gladius is one I've been meaning to try out. XGRA I finally got this summer and want to get to in the near future (I loved Extreme-G 3). Beach Spikers is another hidden gem I love as well! Capcom vs SNK 2 EO is a fun game that's also a hidden gem. I actually covered that one briefly in my "Arcade Ports for the GameCube" episode (if interested). Thanks again for checking out the video man! I'm going to check out Gladius and XGRA soon!
@@GameCubeGalaxy I'm always interested with gamecube lists and videos. I just never hear much on these 5 so I thought I would throw them in there each being unique in respective categories from RPGs/strategy fighting sports arcade racing and platforming shooter
@@dustheg completely understandable man! I’m glad you mentioned them here even for viewers to hear a few more recommendations from the community. 👍
@@GameCubeGalaxy I always felt it was criminal that metal arms didnt become a full blown series and to rarely see anyone talk about it makes it even worse. It needs more people seeing just how good it really was
@@dustheg Agreed! There was a sequel plan, but was scrapped unfortunately.
I love GameCube.
Always an awesome thing to hear!
SKIES OF ARCADIA
An RPG that doesn't get enough recognition, but definitely has a big cult following (at the very least)!
@@GameCubeGalaxy totally agree and have fingers crossed for a switch version
@@brandonhiggs88 that would be amazing!
I really hope retrowolf88 was born in 1988.
That would be a plot twist to his channel name, wouldn’t it? Lol
@@GameCubeGalaxy I can't tell if this is satire or not. You know why people use the number 88 right?
@@JamesJamesly Oh it said “1989” before, so that’s why I joked with my response lol. Yes, he was born in 1988. I am curious now though, why do people use the number 88?
I remember growing up with tonka rescue patrol and thought it was a good time my favorite things to do was to repair and rebuild the vehicles of course when i played it again 15 years later the rebuild was the only i enjoyed abd the rest of the game is incredibly boring
Oh really? Yeah, I personally haven't played the game yet, but am still curious to see how boring it is overall haha. Thanks for checking out the video man! Actually, if you enjoyed this video, there's a follow up to this one releasing tomorrow morning!

...2020?
Yup, pretty much lol. Thanks for checking out the video!
I played SRS on PS2 back in the day. I was young and thought the dancing girls with was really hot so I worked my butt of for one of the girlfriends. When I saw the dance, I was a bit disappointed thinking it was stupid. Good game though.
Haha nice! Yeah that would’ve been my motivating factor too…and then you realize the dance videos were not that good unfortunately lol. It really is a solid racing game though! Thanks for checking out the video!
i would say your sponsered but these games are from the early 2000's
I wish I was sponsored haha
I love Jenny
Gee I wonder why no one talks about them lol
car
Alot of these games weren't talked about because they were not good.. They weren't then, they aren't now.
You forgot to say "in my opinion"
Was the Tonka thing supposed to be funny? Because it wasn't.
It was a silly inside joke for our friend group so to most people it wouldn't be funny no.
