Actually its not da typical bengali style cooking of katla fish curry.... Sarso, garlic....these are not used in katla fish curry... In bengali cooking, onions are used, tomato is optional and not so much use of red mirchi.... But yes in wedding ceremonies and other occasions red mirchi is used.... Not usually in home style cooking.... And what is must in bengali fish curry, be it katla or any fish and any preparation, to balance the taste sugar is definitely used.... Am sure this different way of cooking katla fish will also taste great....

Yes in katla kalia type s dishes little pinch of sugar is used for balancing the taste but not used in our every day runny fish curry. Sarse katla is not common I know but in my home my mom used to make this since my childhood. Its just the preparation like sarse illis.😊

Being a Bihari we always prepare fish curry in this way only !! You can use green coriander as well during the preparation of it's Masada, it really enhances the taste !!🥰❤

I tried this method. It was really awesome. What all I changed is i Grinded one medium size Onion also with Garlic which resulted good.
