Hey, the DS is 💯 fully painted...it's not the shinny paint but it's painted & I Kno because I scratched mine...both of these are good but the articulation is what stands out for me with DS over FT...the head can go WAY up for a flying pose, the shoulder has an extra joint which is why it's cut out & he has drop thighs...

I think after going through the comments that DS is a strong representation of the character and brings more than enough for a collector and his/her display. As one commenter reminded us, DS IS PAINTED...its just not that "FT paint" I actually don't have a problem with the DS paint as it brings variety to my collection vs someone who only has eyes for one particular brand. I just think it's a superior toy compared to the statue of FT, which is how most would display and not transform.

My biggest problem with the DS, and the reason I never picked one up, is I really don't like the matt paint finish.I think it makes it look cheap, as it did with their Seekers as well. I am looking forward to receiving my copy of the FTs. Thanks for the comparison Matt.

I have both, figuring I'd sell the one I liked least........but I can't. They're both SO good. I truly love both. Though I think if the FT didn't have that hinge in the forehead, it'd be a lot easier to make a decision.

I find it interesting how fanstoys used to be the MP company that gave the characters a more stylized, heroic look compared to this Blaster that is very cartoon accurate. Even though Fanstoys paintjobs looks better than the Deformation Space version, I think the DS Blaster's proportions look much better. Great comparison Deluxe 🙂👍
Fanstoys will make a 2.0 or have it already lol I went with Fanstoys cause of paint die cast. And better plastics

I have the DS and for the price it’s better. I have some FTs transformers as well but I prefer a mix of brands on my shelf. If you have the funds then spend how you like. If it’s just for display and poses, DS in my opinion, plus extra $ I save on getting the DS, I can use to buy the FT cassettes.

I’m going to use the phrase “went off on a wing” today in a sentence. These guys both look pretty good. I am going to hold out for NA’s Legends Scale Blaster. If they as good of a job on Blaster as the did Soundwave, I’ll be very happy…

I like them both but I think I like the FT just a little bit better thanks to the glossy paint. That hinge on his forehead is unfortunate though. I don’t know if you’re getting the gold chrome chest (I am) but I’m looking forward to seeing how that looks. If you’re getting it, any chance you’ll do a tutorial on the installation? Thanks for sharing!

IMO Fans Toys is cleaner and more toon accurate, but DFS has a nice sculpt with some more real world accents if you don't care about toon accurate.
I think I'm gonna be real happy with FT. I just wish Rewind had both guns. Hopefully someone makes an add on kit to give Rewind and Eject 2 guns each.

What i heard watching TMreviews he claimed Deformation space had gone through a bust and went bankrupt, do you know anything about that or is it just a bad rumor? Because if it is true, then Blasters tapes probably wont be completed and lose by default.

Do most people's brains just automatically filter out the fact that FT Blaster's leg detail is asymmetrical for some reason? Because it always sticks out so much to me.
Because the cassette deck is off centered and thats on the character model and not a design flaw

i just don't like the proportions of the FT. i love that DS one though. its all in the shoulders and how they sit so low on FT. trying to convince myself to like the FT one. i have both the DS and the KFC. do i need a third Blaster?

Yo the FT looks awful because the on screen character looks awful. MP gets to be better than the compromises of the animation. FT proportions are way off in both modes. The tape deck is tiny and the handle is all warped looking. DS has been crushing everything it touches. One person's opinion.
