Wow! This is one of those rare moments! I definitely prefer the maketoys. I think I really like the pale white vs the Silver. Definitely prefer the face sculpt of the maketoys forsure. I like also the width of the chest or overal bulkiness of the maketoys. I don't know what it is? But it seems like the Maketoys have more character or more attitude. Imo the maketoys wins this one hands down! Which is crazy! As always great comparisons. Love these videos!💯🐮
There is something about the MT I agree, i always liked the chest and general look of the robots. But once I handled the FT, my view changed.
@@TMReviews I currently don't have either. So am just going purely by visual presentation. Am pretty sure the Fanstoys probably feel way more premium and solid because of the plastics. But just going by the looks, I have to give it to maketoys. The grey/white plastics is better inline with the current trend, not to mention the overall aesthetics seem more modern. Is almost like the Willis vs the Hound. As always great video!❤

I went with the Make Toys because of the engineering (no parts forming) aspect...and if you apply the Toyhax label set, it enhances the aesthetics.

Thanks for the comparison TM. Seemed like a very fair review. I have been very pleased with my FT version, but have never seen the MakeToys in person. I will say, I completely agree that the FT's lens should have just been one piece, but I do really like the knives. Always enjoy your content, and we need more then ever before.

I don't like the FT accessories. No value for me. The camera accessory weaps are dreadful.
But their build and paint are wonderful.
The MT mold looks more screen-accurate to me, except for the heads/faces. FT is too skinny. Hate the extra FT shoulder kibble. And the MT legs and feet rock.
The translucent MT chests are wowee, as are the camera greebles. The black elbow/knee bars are glaring though.
And I got MT for $99, so FT absolutely couldn't compete there.
Great comparison again. Two month ago I went with the Make Toys. The reason I did that is because in robot mode they both look very similar to the cartoon version. I don't see myself putting them into camera mode. And after seeing the trouble you went through to transform them into camera mode, I'm positive I'm never going to put them into camera mode. Again thank you for making this videos.

its that headsculpt that wins me over
Just bought the maketoys version on eBay. For me it came down to price. $120 for the maketoys. Cheapest Fanstoys was just under $500. I figured the maketoys probably not as nice but after this review I'm feeling really good about the maketoys purchase. Doubt the price disparity was as large when both of these were new.
Got the maketoys on a massive discount for 60 USD.

I agree with you on the transformation of the fans toys. Honestly I got halfway through and just became a little frustrated and just went about putting them back to their robot modes and they have been that way ever since. Although I do like them I do like them very much
Ya, it's tough, all depends what you like, if you don't care about flipping it back and forth then FT is good

The chests on the Maketoys version were definitely a cool detail, but Fans Toys has the better head sculpts. Ultimately I went with KFC's Opticlones. They had good style in both modes, and they had cool accessories. Not an easy choice between the three. I mean, "toon-accurate"=Maketoys; quality-looking stylized toon-style bots=FansToys; best overall but not "toon-accurate"=KFC.
Haven't handled the KFC, how does it compare quality wise? I've had bad luck with every KFC figure to date
@@TMReviews Haha, yeah, that's the thing. Overall, I'm happy with KFC's version. If you want to check out my summary of it, I've got my review video queued to that here: ruclips.net/video/bx0fYsrg70A/видео.html Previously, I had a stuck part on the first KFC Transistor (Blaster) I got and had to get it exchanged. I love KFC's aesthetics, though. With the Opticlones there was a QC issue with a part (packing a part without protection), and there is some diecast which is too fragile! And KFC's isn't cartoon-accurate in bot modes, but I like the stylization.
