love this man and his old tractors i watch all of his vidoes and enjoy them as i grew up on a farm
BoyHowdy! Sure takes me back to my youth as a young farmer in Ohio. Thanks, Pete! Love your vblogs!
Like seeing that Farmall out there working looks sharp
I must say that Pete has it timed to the millisecond to drop the sickle bar blade onto the uncut portion at JUST the right time 6:27 - other videos have shown this skill as well. Thank you, Pete, Hillarie and the rest of the players at Just a Few Acres Farm!
Howdy Pete, you need a cow catcher on your tractor. Thank you for another great video.
👍👍👍👍👍 what a pleasant afternoon yeah
Very good sir
Are you baling this hay? Or are you cutting it for another reason? I am in Michigan and we have had quite a drought so I was curious if you were skipping second cutting to bale later in the season.
Curious to see how it looks in a few weeks. Nice job.
Amazing, something as mundane as cutting grass when a drone is introduced, makes it so mesmerizing!
I spent many hours sitting on the Farmall Cub mowing the apple orchard. The Cub was really suited for working in the orchards because it was smaller and the sickle bar mounted under the tractor. This way you didn't have to look behind you to mow which was important in an orchard where you had to really watch out for branches. The seat and steering wheel was offset which made it easy to see what you were mowing.
Who is doing the aerial vids while you are on your tractor? Hilary? One of your kids? Love it all
Excellent Video ✴✴✴✴
I really like these videos ❤💚❤💚❤💚❤💚❤💚❤💚❤💚❤💚❤
Sickle bar on an H was how my grandpa mowed all of his hay. Of course his sickle bar never ran as smooth as yours. He was always backing up to clear a jam. If I happened to be there when he was haying, I would often pull jams out of the guide bar on the end.
These videos always bring back memories, thanks for this channel Pete, I appreciate you.
For some odd reason, it's satisfactory to view you trimming your fields. Thanks for sharing your personal farming experience with your viewers...
You have good pasture management skills. Love the tractor videos.
This is Peak human experience
I have had a love for tractors since I was a kid ! ❤️
Cool video with the drone footage ! 👍
The drone shot was great, thanks for all you do and share.
I never knew there's such a thing as a bolt on cutter. I've had to hammer so many knife sections when I worked for a custom baler in my teens. Thanks Pete!
I just love the sound of that "H" ! And I can't get enough drone video footage. So glad that you got a drone back in action. Keep up the great work Pete!
I'm always impressed at how well that bar cuts the grass. Have a great day, Pete. Don't overheat yourself
Pete, tractor therapy is good for the soul! Thanks for sharing this. I am still waiting for the old school sombrero (my Paw Paw wore one when he did hay or field work, called it his Melanoma Hat all he had was a ragged umbrella on his Oliver).
Thanks again for your content!
Love the videos that involve Farmall tractor work, or working on Farmall tractors! It’s awesome to see the Farmalls doing what they were made for. And I love watching you brink a Farmall tractor back to show room condition, and working it in the fields. Thank you Pete for bringing us all this Farmall exclusive action!
Thx get so much enjoyment from your videos!
The bolt on sickle sections sure make life a lot easier running a sickle bar mower. Turning at just the right time so that you can run the mower under the fence and miss the posts was one of the things that I particularly enjoyed. It was a game that I like to play. Losing meant changing out a sickle section and maybe a guard.
Thanks for the video and the videos on Red Power Roundup.
Once again as usual ... was waiting for the next upload. Cheers! Pete & Hillary ❤
Just want to say mate, sound quality is fantastic, can really hear that old tractor puttin along.
😮 wow!! Your drone footage really gives us a perspective of how large your field is. Thx Pete
Short but sweet. Got to love a sunny day and a good classic tractor to go in the field and work with 😊
Nothing fancy to most, but everything to me 🙌
Once again as usual ... was waiting for the next upload. Cheers! Pete & Hillary ❤
Once again, awesome drone camera work!! Editing and flow are done really well! A great vicarious adventure with Just A Few Acres !!!
I was very excited when I saw a notification of a new post.
Edit: I really liked the video when I finished it too.
Love the sound of an H ! My aunt and Uncle had one with a belly mount sickle bar for cutting hay. Great video Pete as usual!
For a King of the Hill enthusiast, watching a man cut his grass is deeply satisfying act. Mmmhmmm.
Red on the green going round & round. I give this content 5 Pattie’s cow paddies.😉
Sunday morning, cup of coffee and watching you clip pastures is a very nice way to start the day!
This is a great video! Nice change of pace and excellent drone piloting
*Someone won't believe it but the fact is that the sound of this lawn mower makes me feel relaxed.*
We thank you for 10 odd minutes of therapy 😊
You are the jay leno of farming
The sounds of a nicely oiled sickle bar is such a soothing sound. It could almost put me to sleep.
Thanks, have a great week !
I agree!
Pete you’re the neighbor everyone wished they had. Loved the red tractor round up videos.
Great to awaken to one of your videos. The poetry of the farm and the drone views are pleasant to watch. Hope you and family having a great weekend! From No Acres Farm in Ct.
The clipping videos are my favorite, tbh. Extremely soothing.
It sounds like you're also interested in jobs related to agriculture.

And as always trust in the Lord and crush it!!😊
Good to watch for sure, I think I should buy a sickle mower now, lol.
Simple and sweet. Love the drone footage.
That old equipment was built to last. The fact that the pieces and parts are still available means this stuff will be serviceable well into the future. Thanks for the video Pete!
Are you gonna bale that or leave it in the field?
Good Morning Pete, I enjoyed your vids, I love them old Farmalls, My first farm job,the farm had a Super C and a Cub,and a fast hitch cutting bar on the back
The sights and sounds of a man and his tractor running a sickle bar. It doesn't get better than this. Thanks Pete.
Need a horn ))
I was also clipping our pasture
Hay pete looks like you are enjoying an easy well deserved work day the tractor looks sounds like a champ thank you for sharing pete
I think I’ve watched… and rewatched all of Pete’s videos by now 😅 Being from Texas, I’d no idea how beautiful New York is 👍
Love your videos Pete! And I can’t wait to hear my H run but I’m still in the middle of fixing it up. I love the sound of these old Farmall’s.
Excellent video Pete :) my dad use 1963 B414 McCormick International Loader tractor Desiel motor 40 hp , with a pull type on draw bar 2 wheels McCormick International 1966 number 10 ! In 1993 was only year he had put 1968 International 624 A Desiel motor 62 hp on to 1000 RPM Speed on PTO because hay and grass cow hay was thick and taller in height on 3 farms ! He said 550 PTO speed just didn't cut made mess and bung up ! So he need more power and when rake up to dry too also bales too was lots more hours on feild then normally!
Hi Pete, my name is Laverne Johnson, I have a question, I have a 1952 farmall H I need to rebuild the carburetor that severe rust on the inside, could I successfully sandblast the carburetor ??? Or do you have any ideas for me.
Thank you
Laverne Johnson farmall kid 63
Just saw a clip of you guys in a video called “How American Farmer’s raise millions of poultry in the pasture.” Would’ve tagged you in a comment, but they had comments disabled. Pretty cool to see a fellow Dexter owner!
How is sickle bar mowing different than overgrazing? Seems the same. Just curious.
Boy Pete you sure are right about sickle bar mowing being relaxing. While I was in the military, living in the desert I never cut grass. I so looked forward to when I would go home to cut some. I used my 1948 Farmall Cub with a sickle bar mower. Definitely very soothing somehow! Still have it, still love it, need to clip some now myself! Thank you for all the great videos!
Same here but it would be a deere H and I'd have a horn instead to shoo away cows from my way.
An old 🔊🎶AHHOOUGA!!🎶 horn to match the time period of the H.
Agree?
Love the vid. Beaut tractor from the drone shots. Bunch of crazy followers watching you cut the grass. Just love it 👌😂🎉❤❤
That Farmall tractor sound , brings back SOOO many old memories. My father bought it before I was born.
My favorite farm channel and Pete's using my favorite tractor and my favorite machine that sicle bar mower can it get any better this morning in America 🇺🇸 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Love the videos…u now have me clipping mine with my 414 and sickle bar mower! What gear do u cut in?
Hey Pete, Yes, there is joy even in mowing, except when you mow a fence. Reminds me of running over the occasional sprinkler head. 😊 Thanks
I was watching a episode of "Sonne Farms" I swear I heard Patty complaining on there farm. Not sure if you have watched their channel. They raise registered Angus bulls. Oh well that is all.
Good Morning, Nothing like a H FARMALL and a sickle mower , on Sunday morning . Have a Great Day. 😊
Hello, we started watching your video this week and my husband and I enjoyed watching it. We have some few cows and a few acres. We lived in Florida.
Hello pete and greetings from atlantic Canada. Love your videos and find them very relaxing to watch. It is so nice to see family working small farms and enjoying what they do. Love your tractors and agree that older tractor mainrenance os good for the soul. I too enjoy restoring old tractor except , mine are green😂. Kepp up the great videos and looking forward to your next video...thanks. Jeff
These videos are my winter farming fix, I dont get to do much farming once the manure is spread, I dont keep livestock year round yet, I’m sick of winter about a week after 3rd cut is done!
Daily is like "Slow down! their are calf playing around here! I'm definitely going to write a letter to my HOA"
Sure is enjoyable watching and listening to that old farming equipment run.
Just curious, why do you not switch between tractors when doing light work like this? Not sure how often you use different tractors outside of the videos, just thought it might be a good little work out for some of the tractors you don’t use as often like the MD or F 20. Anyway, love the videos, keep up the good work.
Watching you bring back all those days of harvesting beans and peas. Some good Andromeda bad.
Can someone answer this question, will the sycamore fit on the C F and then MD also? I don't think it will work on the F because it doesn't have hydraulics.
All that mowing made me thirsty. Think I'll have a glass of OJ to wash down the field dust. 👍👍👍
Strangely satisfying and disappointing at the same time...to bad it was not good enough to bale for winter hay...it will come back even better than before with your pasture management practices. Thanks for another great video.
Can you cut with a sickle bar mower raised up off of the ground 6 or 8 inches? I’d like to clip our pastures to knock down the stems and seed heads but I don’t want to clip the good grass down to 3 or 4 inches. Thanks for sharing!
You and your family are blessed by the good Lord above what a beautiful 🚜 farm and kind human beings,Sane I would say.😂
What type of power steering is that you have installed on your tractor? If I was to make a guess, I'd say that's power steering by Arm Strong, if I'm not mistaken. 😁
This is my second cutting season on my pastures. I'm just using a rotary cutter at this stage trying to keep it cut down so the grasses can drown out the saplings, weeds... I love the mindset you get lost in while you're cutting where you can have some of your deepest thoughts. It's also a silly game I play trying to make my lines straight, trying to cut both sides at the same angle so your last pass is a full cut instead of ending up with a small odd shaped strip. lol...
Pete can you explain why youre mowing? Is it to keep the grass growing productively without getting stemmy?
Great ASMR! It's now my go to video when I can't fall asleep!
Cutting like you will make some go crazy. But I know feeding the soil helps to stimulate new growth. Blessings🙂
Thank you for showing and discussing the grass and the hows, when and whys of cutting it. I am learning so much from you channel. I've heard that farmer really are managers of grass, and that makes sense. But how to do it is a mystery to me. You are teaching me how to do that very thing. Thank you! Love your channel!
Never misses. A repair while farming. Guess that's why new tractors carry a tool box as part of the accentual. The grass got a nice hair cut and looks good. A little trim by the posts and careful not to nick the ears.
thank you so very much for your work and showing the clipping of the field. really enjoy your videos. have a great week.
Henry is a chip off the old block.
Pete you like to do & show, Henry also likes to do, not so keen on watching. The hard part is changing places. You will notice that he loses interest now and again, that is when you are doing a lot of showing.
That's a small fault.
My favorite job is cutting the fields with a brush hog. About 12 acres, but that's enough for me.
Of all the tractors in your fleet, there's something special about watching the H.
Cow says, and they complain about our emissions! tractor sound....
Wondering how often you sharpen the blades on ur mower. I’m 63 but I can still remember the sound of the bench grinder as my grandpa would sharpen his blade before heading out to cut hay. Sure was a sweet sound to hear it cut and man, what a beautiful field of cut hay when he was finished!
Good morning Pete
Pete it may be my phone/tv but the video quality seems grainy.I watched it on my phone then TV and got same results
Good video Pete, we used to cut hay with the sickle mower mounted on the Super C with the Fast Hitch. I don’t think we could run the hay conditioner off the mower.
?? at 6 minute mark you pass over a dirt path and it looks like a animal trail ...?? The Racoons Maybe?
Very relaxing video. Love the drone footage. You, Hil and the kids have a great day
