I’ve never been much of a RUclips person, I’d rather be outside with my cows but I have to say, I’ve missed your videos this week. I’ve been a police officer in Texas for 16 years and a couple of years ago, my wife and I bought 35 acres and I’ve slowly been building my cattle herd. I have learned so much from your videos and I thank you for that.
It's great that you start your farm work with the knowledge learned from this channel.
I'm from the UK, what's being a police officer in Texas like? Sounds pretty exciting to me.
@@marcusskidmore7290 I love it. I work for a rural Sheriff’s Office, so the majority of the time I’m out putting up loose cows.
Thank you for your service to the community
@@brandongall5694 what county? I'm in Madison
You're the Mr. Rogers of farming Sir. It's always a beautiful day in your neighborhood. Thanks Pete for making my days brighter.
What a great analogy.
Shared one his video's with my brother and he said "He's the Bob Ross of farming." Both are perfect descriptions.
Please don't change anything! Just keep being Pete. Looking forward to watching the addition of the barn and the plan for the pigs.
Nothing makes my day better than just a few acres
Yes, my grandfather always looked forward to the video and waited to see what Pete would do on his farm.
Pete and Hillary, I love all your videos. And there are no duds! Love the cows and pigs and chickens and egg collecting and letting the chickens out and market. Love it all. Appreciate all your editing and hard work! As you say, have a great day!
Totally agree wiith D R, there are no duds. I sincerely hope you continue with your creative video endeavor, it brings peace and a sense of stability to so many lives.
Pete!! You were missed for sure!! I was worried you were ill! I always look forward to seeing what you are doing, no matter what it is!! For me, it is your outlook to farming that I enjoy the most. We do not always agree but I always feel I have learned a new way to see something!! Thanks so much for all you do
This is a valuable lesson that doesn't get much coverage these days. It's always important to take a step back and enjoy the small victories that are often overlooked. Sometimes those little victories have the biggest impact.
Pete it’s the daily farm life that I think most of us want to see. The pigs crack me up, the cows are just cows, each with its own unique personality. I would think that most of us watching are farmers at heart and would love to be able to do what you’re doing. Your videos are relaxing, interesting and sometimes funny. We love the way you and Hillary work together. You’ve been really blessed! Sandy, Frank’s wife.
Definitely like seeing the pigs, they always make me laugh
A well deserved break. But, glad you're back. I enjoy watching your videos. The cows have pretty much turned the winter yard into mud. 370 thousand subscribers says you're doing something right with your videos.
This time of year can be the most difficult for me. We'll get hints of warmer weather here and there, but Winter always tries to make a few comebacks. I often overlook the small victories. Instead, I spend my time thinking about what I wish I was doing. Thanks for bringing me back into focus.
Hey Pete, I've been a professional video editor. Your videos are so good they are great to go back and watch more than once. A rare thing for RUclips. Cheers!
I think everything Pete does, he does well.
You exude a sense of positivity that is contagious!
The piglets are growing fast too!
Just think of the enjoyment your videos will bring to your children and your children's children and so on. Your great grandchildren will know who you are (or was) long after you are gone. I think of that as a treasure. Your videos are appreciated by the rest of us too.
I really enjoy the videos showing daily farm life, very grounding and peaceful. Thank you❤
We missed you Pete.
I became your faithful viewer end of last year and subscribed as a result. Your creative content interest’s me enough to repeat over and over, especially when taking notes of business recommendations.
Keep it up, we (your viewers) sincerely appreciate your invested hours and enjoy the results 🤗
We just love your style Pete, and we thank you for putting together great quality videos all the time. Keep doing what you do, and God Bless!
Its a great day when Pete uploads. Especially when the piggers are in it. Haha. Hv a great day folks.
I’ve sure missed your videos this week, I can only speak for myself but I watch every single one of them with the same excitement.
There are no "duds" in your videos. You may only enlighten 10k people on some as opposed to 100k, but some of us enjoy them all and out days are enlightened and better for having watched them. Thank you for giving us your time
I dunno, I enjoy all of the "what's happening on the farm?" videos. Even watching the animals with you. Thanks Pete, always a pleasure.
Your videos are all masterpieces, and I have enjoyed each one. The hay cutting videos are amazing with the aerial views and today you had a special video touch while attaching the carb and fuel line to the tractor. And she runs really sweet now! I agree with your other viewers : keep doing what you’re doing and don’t change anything.
I love your videos because of you and what you put into them. I appreciate the time and effort that goes into making them and I'm pretty sure by the comments that we all agree! Thanks Pete. 👍
All your creative effort and editing are greatly appreciated. ALL your videos are a wealth of knowledge, and entertainment, for anyone venturing into small farming, homesteading, mechanical repair, etc. Keep up the excellent work
There are so many things you do extraordinarily well Pete, but your skills as a tractor refurbisher/mechanic are quite impressive!
Little victories and small adventures...very soothing for the soul 😊
Pete, every video you make is interesting and informative. Your content covers things that I did as a kid on a Holstein farm near Newburgh, NY where we had the same tractors you use for your chores. We never rebuilt our tractors but tried to take care of the equipment so it was reliable. Your talks are encouraging and thoughtful. Blessings to all of you folks.
I do so agree with you...
Life lessons. If we each looked at our own world with your eyes…
(or technically how Pete sees things 😆)
Glad to see you back. Everything you put out is interesting to me. Lol. Hope you enjoyed your break.
Pete, I love your videos whenever you put them out. The ones I enjoy the most are you doing things around the farm, interacting with the aminals and especially your little talks about life. Those are great. The tractor maintenance video are fun too and break up the other videos. It is fun watching your life journey on the farm and it gave me the confidence to pursue my passion for photography fulltime instead of working a job for money. It's tougher but I enjoy doing it, which at 57 it's important.
You do you Pete, and I'll leave the light on for you.
Almost 2K views in 15 minutes! There must be some satisfaction in that Pete.
I love the dad jokes. My children are always saying dad that's bad but funny. A lot of people don't know or care about the daily life of people that produce the necessity for their lives. I've learned a lot from your videos and had some good laughs too. Thanks
The pigs are getting big. I hope you get a break to stay on track and get the Spring work done and the addition to your barn.
Hey........as long as you are healthy and happy / do the videos as you see fit. You continue to be such an inspiration to us all!!
Hi Pete, Just my vote to continue the format you are doing. My wife said it best when we watched one of the tractor repair videos and I said I don’t know if you want to see Pete work on the tractor. “I like to watch Pete, he’s always got something to say and I love his positive attitude. “
We have a small horse farm, and we always seem to be behind. But like you said in the video, you have to celebrate the successes, even the small ones.Thank you for the Videos. God Blessed you and your family.
Appreciate all the hard work you do to make the videos.
Except that for us city folk dreaming of farm life but needing to climb the corporate ladder, your videos on a regular release keep us motivated and give tremendous pleasure watching regardless of the content. They are all good and fascinating.
You don't need to fix what's right. You're video platform is already working. We already love your content, Pete. Just keep on keeping on. There's literally no video that you can make that we won't watch. And love.
I really do enjoy your videos Pete + Hillary & family. Its a window out of my life and into a world I wish I was in. Not that my life is bad, I just like the idea of farm life, away from the city. Thanks for taking the time and opening the window my friend, I love the view.
We love your videos Pete! Even what seems mundane. It's fun to see farm life in all its' entirety. The weather will break soon, the robins are back here in Maryland, flowers are starting to bloom and trees are budding - a little rainy and windy here today but 60+ degrees. It's the little victories! Have a great week!!!
Totally agree with your favourite watches interacting with the animals and hay making etc 👍
Can’t imagine the time it takes to shoot and edit your videos sir but I really enjoy watching them. I’m 53 and your videos take me back to when I was very young and we’d visit my Grandma’s farm. It was a big deal if she asked you to help her gather the eggs or feed the cows! She passed away last year and all of your videos remind me of that special time spent with her! Thank you for your dedication to your channel!
Your videos are great. we always enjoy watching them.spring is here and soon we all are going to be busy .Keep making those video and we like seeing you cook and at the farm market. Great seeing your family too.
I like all your stuff whether it's doing farm chores or just stories or how-tos...it's all good. I've never made a video or tried to edit one but I've heard pretty much every RUclipsr say the same thing....that it's very time consuming making and then editing videos. I really appreciate all the hard work it takes to make the videos on top of the hard work that farming requires.
Great stories, discussing little victories.
You do a great job on many fronts, Pete: as a farmer, as a philosopher, and as a communicator.
Love watching these tractors come to life
Your videos are so insightful on so many levels, just keep putting em out 👍👍
Pete, you will never be able to please everybody, no matter what you do. I, for one, love your videos. I love the interaction you have with your animals. I love your working in the fields, I would love to see your wood processing. I grew up farming, and am at an age now where I can't do all those things that I used to do. I have had to slow down at doing everything. I love watching you work on your tractors. I love the red. If it ain't red, leave it in the shed. You keep doing what you are doing, and I'll be there to watch you.
My wife and I watch all of the videos. We enjoy them all because of the content and you and Hillary sharing your life as a couple on a farm doing the daily routine. That’s life and it is only good if you put the time into it. Everything in life requires you doing the time if you want to succeed. Thanks and have a great day. 👍
Pete you always raise some nice looking pigs. So healthy looking.
Glad everything is all good Pete, missed ya this week 😊
PETE, you worry too much, buddy!! You do a super amazing job. Your followers love your content, and that's all that's all that matters. I look forward to your notifications each and every time, and I save them for the end of the day so I can give it my undivided attention!! Keep up the great work, Pete, and if you want another restoration project, RUclips series, and some winter farm income, let me know. I will haul you up my M!!
Pete, your videos are appropriate and interesting for my whole family. Your content is a great way to "cleanse the palette" with all the other garbage going on in our world/country. Please don't stress too much. You're a blessing to all, and if you're happy, we will be happy. We are excited to see new videos, no matter how often. Thank you, and God bless your family.
We've missed your videos too. They
don't have to be totally amazing. We just like to be on your farm. The "Wrinklers"
Hey Pete, do you know why the scarecrow won an award? He was outstanding in his field.
pete, keep doin what you are doin. I don't think you realize, how much you help, those of us still in the "work a day" world. I am 68, and still working. I have been a mechanic, most of my working life. I make good money, and have company provided health insurance. My mother is a farm girl. She is 86, and still in good health. Watching your videos, helps me remember, following my grandad around, doing chores. Even though chores are the same everyday, they are always a little different. so when all of this becomes a bit of a burden, just turn off the camera, fire up the grill, throw on some meat, sit down, relax, and just breath. Like I said, you help us relax, more then you realize. You and your family, are well loved. I will keep watching. Don Byers.
Pete no worries on that. I love your videos
My wife, who's not a TV person will see your thumbnails as I'm cruising YT and will say, "put on Pete" that's a good sign if you catch her attention. We love your channel Pete and Hillary. Especially because it is so diverse and shows all perspective of farm life. Makes us feel like we're there. Always looking for the next video to come out. Thank you
Cant wait to see the cows hooting and hollering when they get their first run out to the pasture. Always my favorite.
The variety of information presented on Just a Few Acres Farm videos parallels the life of at least one viewer. All of the behind the scenes work that you and Hillary do is of measurable value, including charging batteries, moving
cameras for the best angle, shooting B-roll for the editing bank, and the actual editing itself. Sometimes the star of
the show is a tractor, sometimes a hog, but it's always reassuring to see the host taking us on a short tour of the farm. Thanks for inviting us to join you.
It's all good Pete. It's your farm; it's your channel. We'll look forward to each and every video release.
Hi. Just wanted to tell you that my husband and I really enjoy your videos. We watch your latest and we flip through to find our favorites, to rewatch. We enjoy all videos but our top favorite's are watching you with your cattle and pigs, sharing your wisdom on life and how to run a farm.
Keep doing what your doing Pete. It's working for you.
Keep Smilin!!!!
Pete, I truly enjoy your videos which simply show the routine of farm life. Even the repetitive tasks are slightly different every time you show them. Watching you do your routine helps motivate me towards the goal of building a farm like yours one day! I think it's valuable for people like me to see that part of farm life is routine - doing the same things daily, weekly, and seasonally. We live in an instant gratification world, so I feel showing the routine has educational value to show the world more of the labor involved in bringing good food to the table. Thank you for all your work to keep things interesting!
The cows and the pigs recognise the hand that feed them. The tractor re-condition worked out great. Nice video of the final fixes and start up. Rebuilding the heart of the farm and ready for the spring chores.
The vids are great, always a high point in the day. The occasional drive through the countryside, through the farms and small towns, seeing other farms (like the JJ pickup) bring back memories of Vermont. Thanks for everything.
Pete I know I speak for a large number of your followers we will watch whatever you put out. We can’t wait for your next video, they are all worth watching. I would have liked to have seen the complete repair on the old Farmall. We do want you to be happy with what you put out.
The sound of the rain was perfect. For that last cut. Goals are what keeps me moving in a direction that works for the family and home.
Well I have enjoyed most of your videos , Jim and I don't believe you will ever please everyone . Just please keep them coming so we can enjoy them .
Thanks Mr. Pete! You’re videos are just great. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”😁👍Have a great weekend (not that farmers recognize them)!
His videos are always the very best!! 🙏🏼♥️🐾♥️🙏🏼
I can’t wait to get into my garden so i can only imagine how much you are looking forward to getting on the tractor and into the fields
Been looking forward to this weeks update. Thinking of you as I've been trying to straighten out hydraulic and steering issues on my 656. Going to be time to cut hay soon enough.
Pete and family, I throughly enjoy your channel. Please don't over think the editing. It's exciting to see a new episode and if I don't like tractor rebuilding I can FF it. Continued successes BIG and small.
Pete If it ain’t broke ... ❤
I love the "daily work" videos. That's why I watch. Also love the interaction with the animals. Just keep doing what you're doing. I think the majority of videos are popular because they are putting out videos they want to put out. Love the videos!!!
Hello Hillarie & Peter. The weather will be better soon for you to do those wonderful chores. Looking forward to all that you accomplish on your farm. 😃
Just keep doing what your doing I always look forward to your videos.
This must be the third or fourth time I have seen you adjust the solar panels. I do not get bored. I may skip a tractor mechanic video or two, but do not be afraid of showing daily farm life again. New content is not always something we have not seen before.
Rain on a tin roof always brings back memories. I was a young child when my Navy parents new duty station was Barber's Point HI. Due to a severe housing shortage there, we were placed in a quonset hut. I use to fall asleep to when rain would fall while we lived in the hut and it still does to this day :)
I know what you mean about little victories. As I get older I appreciate them more and more.
The name says it all . Life on a farm means all things from animals to machinery and everything in between and beyond .
Missed you guys . Your my Mister Rodgers of farming . Always looking for you .
DONT CHANGE A THING !!!! your videos are great.
Congrats Pete! I know exactly what you mean about little successes and persistence. What a sweet running little tractor. I like all of your videos including those fixing equipment. Thanks for all your efforts.
A little after 6:00 am here on the west coast of Washington State. Another great video. A great way to start my day! Thank you. Pete and please keep making them.
You do a great job with your videos! We love them, and watch all of them. Thank you for sharing your life with us.
Keep it real and natural your videos naturally evolve and change as time goes by 😊
Awesome to see you over your "winter blues" Pete.
Pete- I haven't seen a "Dud" yet: you combine precision, artistic skill, humor, patience, thoughtful consideration and your love for what you do, a perfect recipe for videos which feed our souls.
I was beginning to wonder if something had happened! I'm at the phase of my life I watch and I do enjoy watching your farm life. I was raised out in the country, sometimes on a farm, sometimes not. I love nature, and am intrigued by nature. She is the smartest thing on this earth. And she IS persistent!
Do what you like. Just continue to be yourself and thanks for giving us city slickers and corporate ladder climbers a chance to see a slice of a different lifestyle….
Love "rain on a tin roof" my favorite growing up on the farm in NJ.
Pete, as usual you are so right about the little things in life. Thanks for sharing you and Hillary’s farm with us!
I enjoy your videos and always find something special about each one. I hope you keep them going on a regular basis. Even if it’s just riding along on your shoulder when you’re in the field. Love the sound of the tractors. It’s just as wonderful for me as it is for you. I know it’s lots of work. It is appreciated. ❤
I am here for the everyday humdrum farm life. Your farm is the closest to what I had growing up. Thankful for your videos and the time you put into making them. Much appreciated
So glad your back at it, missed seeing you, the farm and the animals, hopefully the weather
Will improve and when it does I know you will be really busy and doing what you love, keep
On farming and making videos.
Hello from Michigan
Thank you for being so open with what the farm life is like. Always such joy to watch your videos.
14:37 I believe all your videos are good, not duds. Simply put, it’s because farm life is hard and easy. When you add making the videos, jumping on and off the tractor to get the best shots needing to move the camera so you don’t run over it. Which who knows it could of happened maybe maybe not. Only you know. Lol. Pete you have no dud videos. Some days I want to watch the farm animal life, some tractor life and some just spreading manure. When a job like yours is taken away from a person this is how I get my memories back of myself working at a small Hereford beef farm and before that at a small dairy farm. I have good memories of each and bad memories of each but those good and bad even dud days is what makes me whole.
Thank you for All the videos. Thank you for your perspectives. Just THANK YOU.❤❤
Well said, Chris!
More pigs and cows! More pigs and cows! How about a little biography on all the cows, (you have named) Like who is there mom, sister, etc., how old they are, and maybe a little fun fact or something. I watch every video , Pete, because I know, no matter what the subject matter, you will deliver it in your calm and friendly manner
oh and also, I read in the comments someone called you the 'Mr. Rogers of Farming'. I really like that.🙂
