Looks like I'm six years late (video date 2/9/2016, current date 2/12/2022) but THANK YOU! When I initially bought my muslins I also invested in a hand-held steamer that took forever and got minimal results. Now, after a couple of moves, I'm setting up my home studio after the backdrops have been folded/stored for several years. This process is so simple and effective!
Wow! 1:40 into it I can see a dramatic difference!!! I watched all kinds of these video's just now for my drape's because first of all, I have 7 set's in our living room that I was able to wash and dry however, I can't iron having a shoulder that's weak from a past shoulder surgery and my other shoulder going in for a surgery shortly and hurts really bad so, I can't thank you enough for this! It should have occurred to me to try it too because this is how I remove wall paper and paste etc and that works like a charm! Thanks again :)

I was debating whether I should get a Muslin backdrop or Seamless paper. I was a little skeptical about the Muslin because I wasn’t sure how to get the wrinkles out. And seamless papers can be so expensive! This was so helpful. Thank you so much for this video!

A steamer would work. However, this is only for muslin, premium polyester, contton type of background.DON'T do it to your thin vinyl background ( most of the background selling online.

Buy a portable steamer…. People keep saying they want to avoid buying a steamer but the damn thing costs $30-$40…. I have only used a steamer but I can appreciate this Brother sharing his method with the warm water and spray bottle. I can only vision things being wet and if im doing a paid photo gig theres no way im spraying a bunch of water all over the backdrop… Thats just me though. That's just cool. You can add about an ounce of fabric softener to your spray bottle , nice scent and helps speed the process.

I got a steamer for mine. Works pretty well the hard part is the creases where it was folded.
Got my screen today with 27 deep fold creases. I was going to use it as a cover for my lawn mower when I saw this vid. Thank you.

How long does it take to dry?
I noticed when I was done shooting it was damp, but as long as a sheet would take to dry.
