Very important to use distilled water, take it from me I learned the hard way. I’ve had 2 handheld steamers that clogged and broke and leaked water everywhere including the internal circuits because of my mistake. FOLLOW THE COMPANY INSTRUCTIONS USE DISTILLED WATER!

Good to know. my cheap steamer instructions did not say this but it works well. gonna use the distilled water to avoid mineral build up
