I’ve had this on my playlist since it first was posted and I finally made myself one. It’s very simple and fun to make and it came out absolutely perfect! I worried about how it would look without shaping and worried for nothing. It fits and falls beautifully..I’m starting another with a thinner thread right now! Thank you for this great project🙏💜🙏🥰
Very beautiful design
Nice pattern, 🙏
Absolutely love this pattern! Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you so much for the great tutorial! Your explanation is very clear and concise. I definitely will make this summer sweater for myself!
Beautiful!✔
This .
a lovely pattern. This will be my go to sweater. The way it's fits is perfect
Great summer/fall top
I love this sweater. Have the perfect yarn for it! Love it!
This is the easiest video and pattern I have ever followed. I have tried to make sweaters before from other tutorials but could never understand them and my projects turned out a mess. I made a sweater following this video and I am so happy with the results. I love the fact that you write the different sizes on the patterns also. I will be making more of these. Thank You so much.
Thank you so much! ♥
I am making it right now !
I love this. You make it look so easy. Thank you for the beautiful pattern.😊
Hi what a nice sweater I have never made one I’m a new Crocher and I would love to try Thank for sharing 🙏
I just printed the pattern out and cant wait to make this awesome drappy sweater , so freakin cute, Thank you Tamara. I looked for a simple sweater like this all day and finally came across this , its perfect!!!!! I am going to use the Lion Brand Comfy Cotton Blend for this in the color whipped cream. It is a # 3 so this will be so cute when it is done. I was thinking of adding a nice hood with tassels to hang in the front. :)
Thanks for this tutorial I too was looking for a simple and airy summer top to crochet. I live in Texas and it gets real HOT in the summer months here. Thanks again
Hi Tamara, I am in love with this pattern!!! I REALLY APPRECIATE the additional sizes. There is hope for me. Thanks for all you do!!!
I can't wait to try this sweater. I just saw another youtuber has literally just finished making hers and I am in need of a huge wardrobe change because I moved to a very warm state lol. I need sweaters to go over tank tops but still stay cool. And this is perfect. I just finished one that Annoo Crochet Designs put out a while ago and now I need to do this one.
Oh neat, I hope she linked it lol! :) Thank you so much!

This sweater is exactly what I was looking for to make up to take to the beach. I will make it tunic length and use it as a cover up.
Yup. Gonna make one for my daughter. Thank you. This will be fun.
Such a great tutorial never made one before but will definitely make it. Thank you so much from australia
Beautiful!🤩 can I use soft cotton it's will be heavy? Thanks
Cotton can be so varied, it really depends on the specifics, but I think it could be lovely!
@@mooglyblog Thank you so much .I will do then 🤩 I think so too.
Beautiful! I'm going to make it! Thank you Tamara!
Hi Tamara, I’m wondering if I use a #4 weight yarn and the same size hook how it will change the size? Would it make it a lot larger? Thank you in advance for your response.
Nice! Thank you for sharing I must try and master this. 🤗
Thank you. I would like to ask what material is suitable for this sweater.
Hello! You'll find all the details at www.mooglyblog.com/saturday-sweater/ :)
Unfortunately, this yarn is discontinued. But the yarn info is still there! :)
The link for the material does not work, I am in UK.
Pattern is not free? Cannot download it
You can use the Print Friendly button to create your own free PDF if you like - there's a button at the bottom near the comment info!
Can you make this in long sleeved sweater
Yes, and you have a couple options! You can add them on afterwards, or make them just as the short sleeves, setting them up in the first rows!
Can I substitute double crochet for the whole top?
As long as it doesn't change your gauge too much, yes! :)
Psst! The link in the description is for the "Bunches of Bobbles Blanket", not the Saturday Sweater. I checked the left-handed tutorial too and it's also showing the blanket link. Thought you should know :)
Oh my gosh, thank you for the heads up!!
This was the sweetest heads up ever!!
excellent tutorial !!!very clear to understand ...thank you for sharing ...
Curious Question
Just wondering if you could work the shoulder thru the mesh row.......... - that would allow you to work foundation dc for the neckline rather than ch and dc into the chain ???
You could, yes! I just wanted to keep this one pretty simple. :)
I love this Video, Beautiful
Beautiful!
I'm making this pattern in the 24/7 cotton by lion brand I think it is, in grass and ecru with large, color block like stripes. I can not wait to be a letter to wear it
Buongiorno Tamara!! Bravissima! From Italy greathing you!
Another cheers from Australia.just the garment im after, thanks i will even try your chainless foundation.sandra in Tassie.
I Love the chainless foundation too...such a great idea...I always find the foundation row ends up a bit tight so this will be my go to from now on :) Jacinta in Vic.
i am in the middle of making this sweater. i find the instructions a bit confusing. but, i think i figured it out
If you run into trouble, please email me at tamarakelly@mooglyblog.com so I can try to help! :)
@@mooglyblog thanks
Same here even tried to get it through the search box and it came back "not found " I would really like to make this very pretty top, I've subscribed and liked in hopes that it will get fixed, regards from Scotland x
Sorry about that, link is fixed now!
Hello, I do not speak English well, but this tutorial is easy to understand. Thank you 😊
I have not made a sweater before and I am anxious to try this one. Do you think Red Heart Soft yarn would be ok to use? Would it have enough drape. I don't think I have access to the Fashion yarn.
Soft is a little heavier - a "4" instead of a "3", so it might be a bit warmer/stiffer. I would recommend making a swatch with it and seeing how the fabric feels when you get gauge. If your gauge needs to be a lot bigger in order to get the fabric you like, then you can follow the instructions for one size down. :)
Tamara Kelly Thank you for your feedback on my yarn selection. I am at the point where I am putting the two side together and am seeing some sizing issues on the neckline and armpit area which could be because of my yarn or just my tension. any suggestions on how to add rows to my neckline?
Hi Julie! First, I'd recommend you try blocking the pieces before joining! If you still need to add more rows, you can just add them right to the bottom of the row(s) of foundation double crochet that you started with - just follow the mesh pattern in the opposite direction, then add a solid row, etc. I would recommend ending on a solid row though, as that's a lot easier to sew together nicely. :)
Hermosa la blusa, puede por favor traducir al español? Gracias
Do you have a printer friendly link for the written pattern?
Yes, there's a green Print Friendly button at the bottom of the written pattern: www.mooglyblog.com/saturday-sweater/
I am very advanced in crocheting and this is the hardest pattern I think I ever had to follow, totally don't under stand it and the tutorial seems just as confusing. I really like this cute little shirt but am having such a hard time following
Row 3 on the written pattern says dc in each remaining st across ... on the video you crochet into the ch sp & then the st above the dc? How do u get to 41 (L) ? st on that row . Pattern & video don’t seem to jive
Written patter & video don’t seem the same for row 3 for front shoulder
Por favor explica en español
ok I think I got it, it was just all the different sizes that through me off. LOL
Oh good, I was just coming here to see how I could help! :)
