I just finished this ! 💞I love it. I was able to follow along with you till you started the row 11&12 increase rows I was a little lost at first but was able to get it figured out finally! I am rather new to crocheting! I would suggest that after you do a new stitch area to stop and allow us to see that might help! 🧶💞thanks
I absolutely love this sweater! My first time ever doing 1. I am not even finished with the first but I've started the second! I purchased the pattern but im also using the video. There are done differences in the pattern as far as numbers. The written pattern says one thing but the video scrolling says another but it hasn't changed my love for this. You are a great instructor i am so grateful for your patterns true. Please keep it up.
I just found your channel and you have renewed my love for crochet I will be starting this sweater this weekend I have never made clothes just blankets, scarves etc but you have made this seem like something I could accomplish!
I’m making my grand daughter cardigan from one of your videos I love it , when I’m done I’m going to make me one of these batwing tops I love your channel ...thank you 😊.
Sice my childhood I love batwing sweaters sooo much...i never thought that i could ever do that, but with your good explanation i will try. Thank you so much 🌻
I'm currently making this in red - and I love it! I've had to adapt a bit, as I'm using thinner yarn, but it's turning out great. Thank you so much for the tutorial!
Love this... am tryig to make this but keep ending up going besides the v stiches instead of inside the v stiches... am up to the increase stiches now...
Love love this. Please could I do cheeky request for same jumper in a different stitch ( not so open for colder months) thank you so much for an inspired pattern.
I love this pattern and have been trying to do it but I get to row 11 & 12, have read all the comments and still can't figure it out, why can't I just increase anywhere in the center on each side & watch the 2 side seems to keep them in line, my yarn is wearing out frogging it so many times. thank you
Love the video and the pattern. I am new at crocheting so bare with my confusion. After crocheting 9 rows of the V stich when you do the 10th, you mention that is row 11. Is row 1 counted from the first row which is the signal crochet?
I love this one. but i was a bit lost in figuring out how to decide the neck area. After adding up the height; I kept counting but the number of V’s are not even on the back and front. What did I miss out? Please help 🙏🏾
Awesome! I think this is basically the way I made mine with your first version. I increased on both sides instead of at the back. I'm pretty sure that's how you did the first version. I've already made 3 of these and I'm loving them!
Quick question-when you say to repeat row 11 and 12 x amount of times, in my case 9 repeats, that means a total of 18 rows all together? As in those two rows repeated 9 more times?
I hear you, I apologize that i do not speak any other languages, so it is impossible for me to translate to more languages. the top curves bacuase after the band, you put 3 stitches (dc-ch1-dc) in every other stitch.
Hi me again. Can I please just double check something. I have got to the increasing rows ( 11/12) on the side increase is it..one V in middle on R 11 but on R 12 it's 2 V s in same stitch. Then repeat 1 V stitch....then 2. Sorry I must have watched this bit so many times but my 'lockdown' brain just can't grasp it. 🙈🙈 Thank you so much I'm loving this sweater, well rib plus 11 rows anyway 😂👍
Not sure if I will get a reply but I have frogged this twice now due to confusion with rows 11&12. Is the row 11 one increase half way through while row 12 is two increases? One half way through and at the end? First try I thought it was two increases per row. Second try I thought it was just 1 increase per row Also I wrote out on a piece of paper that - if I am right - my row 11&12 turn out to be odd b number V stitches. Then rows 13&14 end up being even number V rows. Then it alternates. Tired or frogging. Can anyone reply?
Your Ravelry link says there's a free pattern available, but just brings me back to this video. How do I look at your pattern to see if I want to purchase it? Thank you.
Your instructions about the increases is clear as mud. Why would you put all the increase stitxhes in the front and back of the sweater where you can see all of the different added v stitches. I put mine on the sides where the are hidden by your arm. And why are you not just slip stitching into the chain 4 instead of sc? It makes the row crooked. Especially if you are using a solid color. You can see all of these crooked stitches. I managed to get though this patteen and make a cute sweater. But I change quite a few things.
***NOTE***. I used Caron Simply Soft Party…made the xs-s and it is HUGE! So I’m thinking I should have used my 5mm for the whole piece instead of changing to the 6mm…but keep in mind everyone’s tension is different! I crochet loosely with a 6mm…as to where others may not! It’s beautiful nonetheless!
everyones crochet style is different. I cant really say how long it will take anyone. how ever long it takes you to use the yarn required. It is a pretty fast pattern.
Your pattern also states to change to 6mm hook at the beginning of the body of the sweater, but your youtube video has it changing to the 6mm hook after completing the first round of hdc. Does this really matter?
I love your work your items that you make The only thing I have is to say is you go a little bit too close so it makes it really hard to follow because it's so clos e to the screen
Que lamentable que uno no le pueda entender nada. (Por el idioma). Pero su tejido está ¡¡¡muy hermoso!!!!. Podría poner la traducción en español. Gracias.
Love the sweater but think, for teaching purposes, that a single color yarn instead of the variegated one, would be easier to see and be less distracting.
@@jolieknotscrochet3550 I agree with OP: when a yarn is too busy is difficult to read on camera, especially id the color is very light. it's not a matter of taste, just basic photography. also, close ups are nice, but getting too close you risk to end up off frame. not criticizing, thou, videomaking is not easy, just providing a different, unsolicited, perspective... 😉
I do not read patterns well and depend on the tutorials to help me. I wasn’t complaining, just making an observation that a light, single color yarn would have made it easier to see. Getting the pattern really doesn’t help me.
I am having a hard time also. I could not follow when it came to adding for the arm holes. I have frogged it back down to row 10 and will try to follow once again. I love the sweater but became very confused at your explanation. I am not a new to crocheting and have followed many videos. I’m missing something on this one. One more try for me and if that doesn’t work I guess I will have to let it go.
Hello I absolutely love this. Your instructions are easy to follow great job. Could I ask about the yarn used for the grey one shown at the beginning of the tutorial please. Thanks for sharing 👍👍👋👋🙂
you lost me on the first row of the sweater body, what do you mean by "V" stitch? Are you dc twice into the same stitch? not clear in the visuals and comments
@Attikisses Row 1: chain 4(count as dc & a ch 1) 1 more dc into the same stitch, skip 1 ch, dc, ch 1, dc. That’s the pattern. Yes, 2 DC into the same stitch with chain 1 in between DC’s
Holaaa se ve muy lindo pero no sé entiende nada lo que hablan, podría escribir en castellano el vídeo x favor así lo entendemos y lo ponemos en práctica gracias bendiciones desde Argentina 😘🙏🙏🙏
I appreciate the effort of doing this video, but both the written instructions and video are not as clear as they could have been. For one thing, as a tutorial, I think the variegated yarn was not conducive to the visuals and certain parts were somewhat glossed over. The top is lovely, I just feel cheated that I paid for a pattern that is not professional. Disappointed.

Love this pattern, turned out a tad to short for my style, but the test I love, so I'll just do another one and make it longer at the bottom.
I did this. That’s lovely. Thank you so much ❤️

Beautiful. I have to find a yarn sub in my stash and make this. I'm on a strict yarn diet. Got too much yarn even though that yarn looks scrumptious.

that is correct.

Hello,, I cannot for the life of me understand how to do the increases. Please advise. Thank you, Belinda
I can not explain it more than i did in the video, i apologize. There is a written pattern with a chart if thats easiest for you.
I am confused about how to keep the added V's in straight line up to the armpit.
Cant I just make 2 V's at each side?
It alternates per row, adding 1 V- per row.
If you are confused, consider the written pattern
Thanks a lot! 😘😘😘

thats correct, each "side" will increase by 1Vst each, in each row.

Maravilhosa!!!
Very very nice

Thank you for this PATTERN but did you say to slip stitch in the back of the school on both sides of the band WHEN closing it.??
I meant stitch where school is,, SORRY😄
one side is a chain, back loop only on the other side

Your pattern also states to change to 6mm hook at the beginning of the body of the sweater, but your youtube video has it changing to the 6mm hook after completing the first round of hdc. Does this really matter?
No, it won’t really make any difference
Hello! Can I ask why we slip stitch over one chain at the beginning of row 12? Thank you!
because thats the pattern and that is where you will begin the next row, it will keep your rows lined up properly.
How many balls of yarn would you use for an extra large
Yardage is listed in the video
If i buy the pattern...do you provide or hv an option to purchase the diagram or schematic? I really like your teaching skills. So so pretty
Hi, there is a chart included for the increases in the written pattern.
I love your work your items that you make The only thing I have is to say is you go a little bit too close so it makes it really hard to follow because it's so clos
e to the screen
thank you for that suggestion :)
I feel the sweater is getting really big - can we increase every other row?
You can do whatever you want. It’s a batwing, so it’s supposed to be wide, those are also your arms being made.
Que lamentable que uno no le pueda entender nada. (Por el idioma). Pero su tejido está ¡¡¡muy hermoso!!!!.
Podría poner la traducción en español. Gracias.
