I love everything about this song. The musical composition, the powerful and harmonizing vocals, their range and rasp, instruments, just everything. It's very well composed and performed. A rarity to hear songs of this caliber.

This is the first song I heard from Týr, my thoughts are: Cheesy, boring duet full of cliché moments. Just an honest opinion. So I tried another one, Regin Smidur. That was fucking amazing.
I don't hate it as such, but having listened through the entirety of Valkyrja, this is one of the weakest songs on the album, in my opinion (and I like ballads). I much would have preferred a video clip for 'Mare of my Night', 'Blood of Heroes' or 'Lady of the Slain'.
Please! I can't take anymore Amon Amarth VS Tyr! They're both fucking fantastic bands that sing about epic stuff that would trample on any of the modern pop shit we get these days on the radio and TV's!
I don't know. Perhaps it's because I'm a pagan and love any band that sings about what I believe in and Norse culture (unless the band is REALLY bad). I love Amon Amarth for the epic, fast paced, angry, battle theme and I love Tyr for the calm, softer side of the 'Norse world'. Not all of Tyr's songs are soft though, they have quite a lot of heavy ones, not Amon Amarth singing kinda style, but I mean with the instruments.
In the end, they're both fucking fantastic bands!
Just ignore that people, it's useless to worry about them :)

Valkyrja was such a badass album, I enjoyed every track on it, and got to admit, this one is a pretty powerful ballad
Loved how this album transitioned from Mare of my night to Lay of our love, and ends with the best damn cover of Cemetery Gates I have ever heard, and possibly will ever hear.

This song is AMAZING!! Yeah, Týr is a Viking Metal band, with slaughter, nordic gods and that stuff. But that doesn't mean they can't try to do something like this. And this is a thousand times better than these pop songs everyone is saying this is.
Any "metal fan" who can't appreciate a power ballad doesn't know shit about metal.
It's incredibly overplayed by the shuffle function in my car. That's my complaint about it.
