Fire Alarm Test #48

This is a test of a FireLite MS-5UD-3 system in a small municipal building. Only 2 initiating devices, 1 pull, 1 Waterflow. There is also a Low Air Switch & a tamper switch set for supervisory. All Horn Strobes are Edwards 757-7A-T models. All remote strobes are Edwards 202-7A-T models minus the one System Sensor SR outside the main entrance. I hope you enjoy!

Those older integritys don't skip, the panel had some sort of sync enabled causing it.

My high school has those alarms and the outdoor horns and on the upper lever are the est genesises and the pulls are the est 278B-1110

The System Sensor SR Remote Strobe outside of the front entrance is most likely used to replace a dead Edwards 202-7A-T Remote Strobe

uh the 202 series isn't weatherproof, it probably replaced a dead weatherproof integrity horn strobe

Normally the pull station that would go with these devices would be the Edwards EST270 SPO or 278B because these are EST integrity’s and the 270 SPO and 278B are est pull stations.

​​@NyxKemo not my experience. Maybe you heard the earlier mid 90s-early 00s models, but my high school was remodeled in 2004 and had both, but these blew the Genesises out of the water.

My elementary school had EST Integrity fire alarm horn strobes, and my high school had the EST Genesis. I personally think they were both equally loud, just sounded quite different. Those were old buildings with high ceilings and wood floors, which made it really bad. Up there with the loudest things I’ve heard, pretty equally loud to some of the loudest rock concerts I’ve been to. I think SpectrAlerts and TrueAlerts are not really any louder, but the tone is more annoying for sure. The worst ones by far are Wheelock AS/MT, followed by NS/Exceder/Eluxa.
