FYI:
There is a BIOS setting to "Reset password when cmos battery is removed"
Enable that before setting a password in newer models that don't support a hardware reset jumper/button.

There is no fucking jumper in newer models. Struggling with a 800 G9. No way to reset lost BIOS pwd. HP turns into another company to avoid...
