Thanks for the guide! This turned out to be extremely helpful at my school, since we had gotten about 45 of these PC's from our support department, which were all locked, but removing the green pin fixed it all. Thank you once again! 🙌
Thank you very much!
Visual AND verbal instructions to help out those dinosaurs ( me ) who aren’t all that tech savvy.
Again, thank you very much for the well done and informative video.
nice video, my uncle's friend had 4 random pcs just sitting in his garage, this was one of them. i thought popping the cmos batttery out would fix it but when it didnt i instantly went to google for help. thanks for making this video, time to install windows again!
Man this is just what I needed!! I was looking for one hour how to remove the bios password on a 2nd hand pc that I bought and it was just that jumper...
Thanks!
your accent really feels soothing to my ears.....
Thx bro! Got a $30 ex school PC and it had a password. Worked on the pro desk 600 g2 sff
solved my issue. Thanks for the video. It was very informative and it was exactly what I was looking for. I was wondering why I couldn't access the boot menu and since I bought this computer second hand, I didn't know the original password.
Thanks was suck but it worked big shout out from 🇿🇲 zambia
thanks to your video the password was deleted thanks a lot
Thank you so much youre so smart! This works and its easy! ❤
thank you man, this helped me a ton!
Muchas gracias!! Me suscribo. Tal cual como dices, a mi el sacar la pila no me quitaba la contraseña pero si el jumper verde!!
(Contraseña de la utilidad de configuración del BIOS (F10))
Hi how do you reset Bios Password for HP ProDesk 600 G6? there are no jumpers anymore
I love you man, It worked 💯, Thanks A Lot 👍🏻
Thanks i almost didn't bother i thought it might be saved to flash memory:)
great solution for HP Elitedesk 800G1 too
Thankyou so much sir love u 😘😘😘😘😘
Gracias
Good ! Thank you (prodesk G400)
Thank you thank you.
Thankyouuuuu 🙏🏻
Me funcionó, gracias. :D
Thank you!
You're a machine! Thanks! Works fine
This sounds great but guess what it did not work. I removed the jumper and it is still asking for the Power-on password. So this it not a fix for all ProDesk 600 G1. I even removed the CMOS battery and let it sit for 20 minutes. Still asking for the password.
Thanks a lot!
thank so much
Muchas gracias. Me fue util.
Well done
Hei, please answer quickly if you can. Does this also reset the other BIOS settings?
Hello,
Nop, HP desktops normally have another button to reset bios setting (except password). Bios password reset should not reset other settings.
Hope it help
Thanks for the comment
thx!!
Hello, I have an HP elitedesk 800 g2 i did the same as you explained in this video but the password still there, please any idea how to do it in my case, thanks.
Hello Mdazhardware
,
The password you want to get rid of is the Bios or System password correct? I ask because the Hard Drive password has a different process.
Now, I found the manual for your model: h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04828077 Page 51 or 59. You can see there "PSWD" in the bottom right of the image. Is that the one you removed? Just a reminder; shutdown the computer, unplug the power cable, get rid of the static electricity in your body or ground yourself, locate the "password jumper" somewhere in the motherboard, remove the jumper, turn on the computer, the password should be gone, shut down the computer, put the jumper back.
Hope it helps
Thanks for the comment!
@@MyITWorkshop Hello, thanks a lot for your prompt reply, its the bios password. Thanks a lot.
ottimo!
if it only were that simple with every machine
Hello! Was looking at your bios reset video's and saw this one and the one for the 600 G3 mini. I have a 600 G2 mini.
The system board of a 600 G2 does not list "PSWD" near the blue jumper, that is near the cmos chip. It has 3 short positions though, the first set of pins is shorted by the blue jumper, remaining 2 positions are open.
Do you know if this blue jumper position on the G2, and removing it, also corresponds to resetting bios passwords?
Secondary question, more advanced, do you have any experience with modifying HP bioses? In the near future I'm looking at adding a external egpu through the nvme, but I read HP uses a device whitelist for the nvme slot that excluded egpu solution.
I didn’t have to go into the bios. I replaced the green cap after I booted the machine :)
Do you know how to reset password on 600 g7? There is no jumper on the mobo
Does it works on the 400G5
Will this reset my bios password?
i did exactly what you said in this video but the problem is still there (enter power-on password). My dekstop is HP ProDesk 600 G1 TWR. Please help if u read this. Thanks 🙏🏻
Hi, I have the exact same hardware. I got stuck in a secure boot page "I changed secure boot configuration" and the computer asks for authorization code and the keyboard does not work.
Hello Vahid,
The keyboard does not work? Other than changing it to another USB port or trying another keyboard dont know what to say. I dont remember this HP model having the option to disable a specific USB port.
@@MyITWorkshop Yes you are right. There was something wrong with the keyboard and USB port. So I changed my keyboard and used another port and it works now. But I am certain that all my USB ports and my keyboard are safe and sound. That is weird though. Thanks.
I did exactly the same but it did not work for my HP ProDesk 600 G1 SFF
Please. After removing password. I selected boot from usb and I put a bootable usb disk but didn't start the installation.
HP prodesk 400 g7 can't find the pin like that.
Pls I need an assistant my HP pro tower is in power on password, can someone help me with solution , I have removed cmos battery but it did not go out, pls what is the way out
THANKS NOT WORKING ON MY PRODESK 600 G2
No me sirvió :/ power on password still here
Why are you shouting so loud at the beginning? That's not necessary, I almost got a heart attack...
Good Video, thanks!
if the f10 is password protected, throw the device away, you got a brick.
