  • The best Tulum cenote is Sac Actun! We enjoyed our cenote tour experience here more than any other cenote in the Tulum area during our trip to the Yucatan Peninsula.
    Cenote Sac Actun is known as the largest underwater cave system in the world with over 350km of connections. It's also located only 30 minutes from Tulum and is the best cenote we found in the area. Today, you can snorkel or dive part of this cave system, making it a unique and unforgettable experience.
    There are so many cenotes throughout the Yucatan Peninsula that it can be really difficult to decide which one to visit during your trip to Mexico. We visited about 15 cenotes and this one was our favourite. Why? Because it’s different than the others. You don’t just swim and take a look at it but you truly experience it.
    A certified guide takes you through narrow caves in small groups. He tells the history of the cenotes as well as what you can see. The tour lasts for about an hour and costs 600 Pesos per person at the time of this video. Don’t just take our word for it. See what your guide Carlos has to say and join us on our Sac Actun adventure.

      Is it deep water?

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  3 года назад

      It is somewhat deep in sections (maybe 15 feet?) but you’re wearing a life vest during the tour, so it’s not too scary down there

    Hello, I am planning a trip out to the Riviera Maya next month. And this Cenote has been added to the list thanks to your video. I wanted to know what the price is to acces the Cenote?

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  3 года назад +1

      Awesome! You will have a great time. So many unique adventures in the Riviera Maya area. The cost was 35 USD each, which included the guide, wetsuit, snorkel gear, and 1.5 hour tour. We didn’t purchase any tickets in advance ourselves. Just showed up at the entrance and there were guides available / gear there for walk-ups

      Certamente não irá se arrepender. Dos meus 7 dias este foi o melhor e oque eu senti mais bem pago. Fiquei realizado eu e todos de minha familia. Este guia que aparece no video é muito gente boa. Da uma excelente atenção e explica, pode tirar fotos e ele ajuda nas fotos. Nota 10

      Cómo se l l ama ese guía . Observé que no es muy profundo y eso me da confianza no soy una buena nadadora. Cómo se llega a ese cenote?

    Dumb question but i don’t know how to swim. I know we will provide life vests but will it be hard for non-swimmers?

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  Год назад

      It depends on how comfortable you are in the water. You do snorkel through narrow caves and so you also look into the water etc with the snorkel on. But the life vest makes you float so if you’re not scared you should be fine!

    Do i need to be a strong swimmer to visit?

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  Год назад

      Not a strong swimmer as you’ll have a life vest (it’s mandatory). Just be comfortable in narrow dark spaces as the cenote is like that in some places! You’ll also be snorkelling so you’ll also have a mask

      It's easiest to get there from Tulum! We drove a rental car to get there.

    Was the water cold?

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  2 года назад +1

      It was pretty cold! Mainly because it never sees sunlight under the caves. They had wetsuits and dry shirts available at the entrance in case you want to wear one

      A agua é fria e por isso colocamos roupas termicas, mas aonpassar alguns minutos o seu corpo de acoatuma e nos ficamos tão maravilhados que a temperatura estava bastante agradavel apos 3 minutos na agua. O lugar é mágico.. lugar único e na agua tem ate peixinhos..
