The best way to get between places is by tourist bus, the ADO! It drives all across the Yucatan and is very easy and safe! 😄

I was wondering if you could recommend where to start my roadtrip and which of these destinations mentioned in your video would be feasible to see duirng this amount of time and during this week? Merida, Valladolid, Isla Holbox were a few that I have not visited, but don't have an idea as to what I am actually able to capture within a weeks period of time. Thank you for your help.
That should be enough time! Depends if you’re planning to travel the majority of the time or do weekend trips from PDC. We lived in Playa Del Carmen for 2 months while working remotely and did the majority of the spots on 2-3 day weekend trips or as day trips from PDC. Have fun! The Yucatan peninsula is a really magical place ✨

Thank you for watching! Glad you enjoyed it 😊 we didn’t mention Cancun in the video since we didn’t spend enough time there to get a real sense of it. We’re actually back in Mexico now and will be in Cancun in about a week. Should have a video of it done in about 3-4 weeks if you want to check it out then. From rumours we’ve heard, we also expect a bit more crowded than the other cities in the Yucatan peninsula, but hopefully we can find some hidden gems in the area 😉
Great vid! I'm going to this region for the first time this December. I had Merida in my list but after watching this I'm debating replacing it with Isla Holbox, which wasn't on my list haha. Sweet, cool video. They seem to be pretty hardcore on face masks though... even out in huge outdoor areas, is it mandatory everywhere outside in Quintana Roo or even Mexico?
When we were there, facemasks were advised, especially at the archeological sites and cities where there were lots of people around. We were there back in March / April when things were a bit more strict though. When we were outdoors and there was not many people, then it was not necessary to wear it

Thank you so much for this video! ❤ I'm planning on going to tulum and then Merida! How was the budget for you guys? I'm looking for the prices to enter the cenotes but I cannot find it anywhere
Thanks! Tulum has gotten super expensive in the last years (especially after Covid. prices for cenotes have doubled in the area around Tulum, but it’s still affordable compared to Europe and North America. Expect to pay 20€ per person to enter popular cenotes! You probably can’t find any prices online because it has changed like 5 times over the year 🥲. Merida, on the other hand, is very affordable… accommodation, food, everything is cheaper here than Tulum. There are also some cool cenotes nearby Merida, less popular but cheaper. I’d say you can easily get by 50€ per day in Merida (including accommodation), but it would be harder in Tulum. Also really depends on the season you’re travelling!
For 7-10 days, we recommend flying into Cancun, then going to Isla Mujeres, then Tulum, then Valladolid / Chichen Itza, and then back to Cancun to fly out. That way, you get a mix of everything (cenotes, beaches, ruins, and culture). For that route, you would likely need to rent a car after Isla Mujeres to make it a comfortable trip on your own time schedule
Holbox is doable but it’s not as easy to get to! It’s quite a drive to the ferry point from Cancun or anywhere else on the peninsula. But it’s definitely the most beautiful island… maybe it’s possible if you have 10 days!

We think about visiting Yucatan in June. Now some concerns regarding rain and hurricane season came up. Can someone tell me what a regular June looks like regarding rain. I know that hurricanes are a thing of chance and can happen. Thanks
Hurricane season starts in June, but really depends from year to year... we were in Mexico until the end of May and there was definitely more frequent rain coming in, but the days were still mostly sunny (with a few hours of heavy rain - often later in the day)
We drove a rental car for some of the trips and also took the bus to many spots. We also took an overnight bus from playa del Carmen to Chiapas but it took about 22 hours. If you have the money to fly there, we would recommend doing that!
We loved Chiapas! Went there for about 2.5 weeks and did a road trip in a rental car all around. Definitely worth it if you’ve got a week or two at least. Very safe in our opinion. We found the Yucatan peninsula to be very safe in general. We were there about a year ago. We have heard news of Tulum becoming a little less safe in the last year due to drug issues, but not sure on the extent of how far that has gone.
Hello great video. Did you know that Rose McGowan lives out there somewhere? Can you tell me how you got to that place? I am Charlie 63 lived in Vietnam for 14 years but not back in Texas looking to find a easy place to live that is very safe and affordable? Thank You 🙏 Charles.
The Yucatan Peninsula seemed safe to us overall. Many Americans live in the areas of Playa Del Carmen / Cancun. For getting around to the destinations, we usually rented a car which was pretty affordable
We were there for about 2 and a half months and lived in Playa Del Carmen during that time for the most part. Then traveled for long weekends sometimes to the other destinations around. Overall, cost of living in Playa Del Carmen was very cheap compared to the US. You could get a decent dinner for about $5-$10 and food at the grocery store / rent was also relatively cheap. Out of the places in our video, valladolid is probably the cheapest to live overall.
@@charlesscinta7377 for rent, we paid about $700 for a studio on the edge of downtown Playa Del Carmen. For the quality of the place, it was a good deal. I think you can also find much cheaper spots if you are ok living a little bit outside of the cities

Yucatan is derived from Yoktan, here: *SHEM* (Asia/Americas): *ARPAXSHAD* (Chaldeans- Irakis)> ☆Eber☆》 *Yoktan*(east Asian orientals): Almodad(?) Sheleph(?) Hazarmaveth(Hadramauts- south Arabians) Jerah(?) Hadoram(?) Uzal(Turkic peoples) Diklah(?) Obal(?) Abimael(?) Sheba(Indians) Ophir(Sri Lankas/Tamils- south indians) Havila(Indians) Yobab(?) Now, who are the Maya, from these 13 nations?
Nice introduction to Yucatan. How did you manage for drone footages? Mexico does officially not allow foreigners to operate drones, and you do not sound like Mexicans 🙂
This video would be a lot more helpful without the godawful horrible music in the backgorund. i don't know why every video now thinks they have to have annoying bad dance music in the background
this video talks about the Yucatan PENINSULA not the Yucatan STATE. The Pensinsula does encompass 3 different Mexican States: Yucatán, Quintana Roo and Campeche. All places mentioned here are within those states.
Yes lol that was at the beginning of 2021 though so we were obiged to wear it in certain places (like Valladolid or at Chichen Itza!). Wouldn't be the case anymore luckily!
Something to mention is that every time someone put a church in a video as an attraction is just very painful for many Mexicans, as you know the church have and still doing so much harmful ugly things to my people and Spain used the church to enslave my ancestors, so please be aware and respect.

Merida is great as well! 😄 It’s very cultural and definitely deserves a spot in the top.
Can you please tell me the name of the bgm music for Isle Mujeres ❤️
The song is called Orbit by Cameron Mackay ;)
Is it safe there or is it like cancun?
We found the Yucatan peninsula to be very safe in general. We were there about a year ago. We have heard news of Tulum becoming a little less safe in the last year due to drug issues, but not sure on the extent of how far that has gone.
Hello great video. Did you know that Rose McGowan lives out there somewhere? Can you tell me how you got to that place? I am Charlie 63 lived in Vietnam for 14 years but not back in Texas looking to find a easy place to live that is very safe and affordable? Thank You 🙏
Charles.
The Yucatan Peninsula seemed safe to us overall. Many Americans live in the areas of Playa Del Carmen / Cancun. For getting around to the destinations, we usually rented a car which was pretty affordable
So you 2 are only on holiday but not sure of cost of living?
We were there for about 2 and a half months and lived in Playa Del Carmen during that time for the most part. Then traveled for long weekends sometimes to the other destinations around. Overall, cost of living in Playa Del Carmen was very cheap compared to the US. You could get a decent dinner for about $5-$10 and food at the grocery store / rent was also relatively cheap. Out of the places in our video, valladolid is probably the cheapest to live overall.
@@worldwildhearts what about Rents? Thank You
@@charlesscinta7377 for rent, we paid about $700 for a studio on the edge of downtown Playa Del Carmen. For the quality of the place, it was a good deal. I think you can also find much cheaper spots if you are ok living a little bit outside of the cities
Why didn´t you put Cancun on the list?
It’s not in our top 10 as we prefer the less-touristic places to go 😄. It’s personal preference though
Hello sorry to see that the government does not even have XCALK Qroo on the map we are a top dive and fly fishing destination plenty of Rooms Restaurants and boats for your vacation!
Good to know! Thanks for putting it in the comments so people are aware 👍
Is it save there ?
We found it to be very safe! The locals were friendly and helpful throughout the Yucatan 👍 just make sure to use your common sense and always ask locals questions / advice if you are unsure of a situation
Very safe , don't worry bad news about Mexico there is'nt reallity
Yucatán is bountiful. But. All Thos areas. Going. To be finish. Is coming. A enormous. Sunami. I’m feel sorry for my country. And all Thos. People. Live. Here. 6/14. 2022 message.

Yucatan is derived from Yoktan, here:
*SHEM* (Asia/Americas):
*ARPAXSHAD* (Chaldeans- Irakis)>
☆Eber☆》
*Yoktan*(east Asian orientals):
Almodad(?) Sheleph(?)
Hazarmaveth(Hadramauts- south Arabians) Jerah(?) Hadoram(?)
Uzal(Turkic peoples) Diklah(?) Obal(?) Abimael(?) Sheba(Indians) Ophir(Sri Lankas/Tamils- south indians) Havila(Indians) Yobab(?)
Now, who are the Maya, from these 13 nations?
Thanks for the facts! 😊
Mayas were Black
Quite nice video. I was there few weeks ago. There is my video too about Yucatan. If you want please check it out. Good work.
Merida didn’t make the list, interesting
You're right..It should have been included right before or after Valladolid, as it's a very interesting city in the Yucatan State!
You didn’t mention Merida? You include Tulum? This is a bogus list.
Nice introduction to Yucatan. How did you manage for drone footages? Mexico does officially not allow foreigners to operate drones, and you do not sound like Mexicans 🙂
That rule came into place in 2021, we were there in 2020. Some of the nature places required us to pay a fee to fly it, but it was still allowed
This video would be a lot more helpful without the godawful horrible music in the backgorund. i don't know why every video now thinks they have to have annoying bad dance music in the background
no i thought it was nice
nice i'm backpacking mexico too, check my channel out for vlogs
Again listing places that are not in the Yucatan
this video talks about the Yucatan PENINSULA not the Yucatan STATE. The Pensinsula does encompass 3 different Mexican States: Yucatán, Quintana Roo and Campeche. All places mentioned here are within those states.
You're wearing a mask outside?! That's insane
Yes lol that was at the beginning of 2021 though so we were obiged to wear it in certain places (like Valladolid or at Chichen Itza!). Wouldn't be the case anymore luckily!
A mask on the open air boat. Why?
Because it was mid-covid times lol and that was the rule back then
And people actually spend money to go to the usa. What a waste of money that is.This is paradise.
Hahah the USA is beautiful too! But Mexico is a lot cheaper and has some amazing beaches, culture, and nature!
Something to mention is that every time someone put a church in a video as an attraction is just very painful for many Mexicans, as you know the church have and still doing so much harmful ugly things to my people and Spain used the church to enslave my ancestors, so please be aware and respect.
We definitely are aware of that! Many of the guided tours we booked though take you to these churches because of the history
