I feel like, after the Warmind DLC, Bungie really hasn't capitalized on the power of Rasputin. Reactivating him had absolutely no impact on the game world or lore, as for whatever reason his weapons remain unused.

I think the biggest reason we haven't seen much of him is the imbalancing force he could bring. From a lore perspective Bungie is already struggling to keep humanity at a point where we are neither losing or expanding
@@TheCocomunges can someone explain something, in Joe Staten’s original story, Charlemagne was an actual warmind, however when bungie rebooted the storyline, charlamagnd became a submind of rasputin. However, history keeps saying that rasputin wasn’t the only warmind. If charlemagne was a submind then what other warminds are there what were their names.

I can't express well enough how helpful these videos are for players like me coming into Destiny on PC. The lack of coherence in game leaves a lot of gaps in player knowledge and you're invaluable in filling them in.

I feel like it has a lot of importance to what happens next in D2 but also perhaps challenges previous notions. Just a suggestion it would be cool if you could make a mini series of videos about each planet/moon in the destiny universe and go over the lore surrounding it and any notable events and characters belonging to them.

I got the impression during Aricebo that Rasputin had ended up luring in the Vex as a demonstration. The same with messing with your Ghost at the end of the mission - a show that even our ghosts, an extension of the traveler, are within his realm of influence.
Don’t know if anyone has ever brought this up ( probably ) but you should make this into a podcast, like I could listen to it while doing yard work, or painting and not have to keep youtube, but besides that, keep the good lore videos

Second, 12:20 about that... how true is that Rasputin did attack the Traveler with the Sleeper Simulant (warmind size)? or better what kind of weapon damaged the Traveler so in consequence we have the shard? we know Rasputin did threat the Traveler ... when we were looking for the stealth for Eris ship Cayde said the good thing or the fun is "below" was that referred to the WM Sleeper ? This made me think that Rasputin may be playing as hero, thanks to the grimoire card the fact of "IT" and "I was made to win" "found a way to win". Rasputin is "part if the plan" or "made it" Ohh and if I'm not wrong in some past video about Rasputin, someone was wondering Rasputin's voice. Now... Osiris's ghost took control of ours and we got a transvestite ghost... by voice lol, at the end of Arecibo mission when the ghost lost itself without remembering the "ahhhhh!, ice poop, ahhhh!!!" There is another voice, could that be Rasputin's?

Byf, Was wondering about Lore attached to D1 Crucible maps on Mars, and what Clovis Bray may have been up to. Skyline, Crossroads, Blindwatch and Timekeeper have really peeked my interest. Skyline has a high security room at the center of the map that many folks probably overlook. Its placement is odd considering its part of an Off World Transit site that may have general population passing through. Crossroads has a massive Pyramidium in the distance making me feel IO in D2 was not needed. Finally in the distance past Blindwatch we see a field of giant fans slowly turning, perhaps generating green energy for undiscovered facilities on Mars? Thank you for your time.

Can you please clarify whether or not exotic weapons will have FIXED masterwork upgrades. Bungie's most recent post stated, "the Masterwork upgrade for Rat King is going to put a tasty garnish on this meal..." That sounds like exotics will have only one masterwork. Thanks Byf! There's a lot of questions that need to be answered. While having a Warmind on our side is cool, something we need to know is what happened during the Collapse. Rasputin has the records... Either he lets us in or I'm going to have to use my plot armor.
I have a question. Who are the 3 most prominent human guardians, 3 exo guardians, and 3 awoken guardians? I want to know what class each of them are and see which class has the biggest legends. Lastly, are these most legendary guardians shown in game or are they hiding in the deep lore of the destiny mythos? I want to hear your opinion Byf :)

When Rasputin hide from the Collapse, it reminds me of the T-Rex of the last JW (JP) movie: He was aware of his own existence? Did he felt fear of death? How he decides not to proceed to empty all his resources to combat the darkness?
I think using fancy words like you've mentioned adds to the atmosphere and mysticism. Besides, anyone can google the words if they so wish anyway. On the other hand you can keep writing the videos as you did and simply define the words in the video description - this way you don't have to change your style or break the pace.

Is Rasputin -- or are warminds in general -- paracausal? I recall one of the Destiny 1 grimoire cards where a group of scientists on Venus used a warmind to determine what reality was among the various simulations that a Vex was running. Does that mean that the warminds are paracausal since the Vex could not simulate one, and the only thing we know for certain that the Vex can't simulate is paracausality?
This is going to sound like a semi-redundant question, well questions, but I'm going to ask them anyways (never got anywhere by just being a sitting duck eh?). I just recently started watching your video content a bit more recently, and as an avid Destiny 1 and 2 player, I must say the lore you piece together is WOW. One thing still gets me from D1 -who exactly is the Exo Stranger and what happened to her? Do you have any theories on what her part was or is for the world of Destiny? I may have missed a vid you did previously. Just saw the one where she used the nickname for Ghost in D1 "Little Light" like Osiris used to address Sagira in D2. There's a lot of questions that need to be answered. While having a Warmind on our side is cool, something we need to know is what happened during the Collapse. Rasputin has the records... Either he lets us in or I'm going to have to use my plot armor.
I have a question. Who are the 3 most prominent human guardians, 3 exo guardians, and 3 awoken guardians? I want to know what class each of them are and see which class has the biggest legends.
Lastly, are these most legendary guardians shown in game or are they hiding in the deep lore of the destiny mythos?

When Rasputin hide from the Collapse, it reminds me of the T-Rex of the last JW (JP) movie: He was aware of his own existence? Did he felt fear of death? How he decides not to proceed to empty all his resources to combat the darkness?
How much of this has changed with the expansions release 4 months Later?
Fallen S.A.B.E.R. would probably be a better example of the enemy trying to take control of Rasputin than Omnigul
I think using fancy words like you've mentioned adds to the atmosphere and mysticism. Besides, anyone can google the words if they so wish anyway. On the other hand you can keep writing the videos as you did and simply define the words in the video description - this way you don't have to change your style or break the pace.

on io in terrabase charon there's a scannable that says someone is trying to give exo's access to the vex systems??? i have always thought the mysterious stranger was working with rasputin... any thoughts??

Is Rasputin -- or are warminds in general -- paracausal? I recall one of the Destiny 1 grimoire cards where a group of scientists on Venus used a warmind to determine what reality was among the various simulations that a Vex was running. Does that mean that the warminds are paracausal since the Vex could not simulate one, and the only thing we know for certain that the Vex can't simulate is paracausality?
I would like a piece on the purpose of each vex world like how mercury is the simulation engine and Venus is the VoG

I just recently started watching your video content a bit more recently, and as an avid Destiny 1 and 2 player, I must say the lore you piece together is WOW. One thing still gets me from D1 -who exactly is the Exo Stranger and what happened to her? Do you have any theories on what her part was or is for the world of Destiny? I may have missed a vid you did previously. Just saw the one where she used the nickname for Ghost in D1 "Little Light" like Osiris used to address Sagira in D2. Apologies, this has always had me curious ever since my early days playing D1.

If we've seen someone trying to erase mention of the bray family or even ana bray specifically. Could it be possible that someone is trying to hide information from rasputin the warmind himself? Regardless of the fact that the warminds were made to protect human kind. And rasputin has turned on gaurdians in the past. Activating siva and attacking the iron lords at the siva replication complex. Could it be that rasputin is the next main enemy that we'll face in the next dlc?
