Am easy way to not twist your chain is to crochet about 8-10 chains, take your hook off & put your hook thru your first chain & then reconnect your chain & continue to crochet your chain as many as you need. At the end of your chain, just pull your working yarn they both loops on your hook & it'll be straight every time. Making this cow right now. Thanks for the tutorial.
What a beautiful cowl. Mine is a gift for my daughter and it turned out fantastic! I applied what I learnt and made matching fingerless gloves. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
This is very pretty. I would suggest using a cutting mat, a ruler and a rotary cutter to trim your fringe. You can easily trim in one cut and get it quite straight.
I'm using I love this yarn by Hobby Lobby and its so soft (much better than red heart) and using Rosy Cheeks and its works up so easily and beautifully. Thank you!
I purchased the same yarn for the project, but in light Grey (white is sold out in medium). It didn't have the silky bags, lol, but the yarn feels great.
I love this st I've used it for scarfs for my little girls recent and I'm currently doing the 2nd scarf wat I will say is i do something on the chain row to make it a bit easier like a row/round of dc/sc just something x beautiful hun
This is a stunning cowl and I want to make it, but I can’t get that yarn where I live. What would you recommend as a readily available substitution that will still look fabulous?
This is such a beautiful pattern. I’m going to try it. Your tutorial is perfect. I’m going use this. Thank You. Is the yarn your using soft or is it scratchy?
How many grams of wool are in each skein of yarn? As I don't understand the yardage I was taught to go by weight checked your blog and it only gives yardage
these are 100 gram hanks. However, yardage can vary somewhat, even within the same weight category, depending on the fiber (since some fibers and certain twists/plies will be more dense than others)
no, this is a merino yarn from Furls. ZZ twist is not a natural fiber and it is from Lion Brand. Just realized you said "ztwist" not "zztwist" Yes, this merino is the yarn that Furls has that is z twisted for crocheters. :)
no, you won't see the stitch as well with latte cakes. Latte cakes will make a lovely wearable, but the star stitch will get lost with latte cakes. I would suggest a yarn with more stitch definition for the star stitch. Star stitch is beautiful and you don't want to do all that work just to not be able to see it well.
@@zoodlesj but I HIGHLY recommend making SOMETHING with latte cakes, to wear. Because it is glorious! I've made a GIANT, nearly floor length shawl with it. Several bobble trim scarves (from Yarnspirations), in stripes and solids. A couple waffle stitch hats (THAT is fabulous, btw). And a waffle stitch bandana cowl. So you definitely need to make something with latte cakes that you can touch. A lot! LOL Even some throw blankets (which I've also done). Can you tell I love latte cakes? I have enough for several more blankets plus a poncho plus a cardigan. LOL
@@vegangelist lol i can tell lol but i too love it just not always sure what to make with it, I do have a baby blanket on the hook right now and have some creme color cakes i want to make myself something with just not sure what pattern.
@@zoodlesj there is a waffle stitch hat called "alpine nights beanie" that's free on ravelry. I've made three of them this month, two of them in latte cakes and they make a gloriously squishy hat. You DEFINITELY need to make one of those. If you have enough for a shawl, the white would make a gorgeous shawl or poncho. Kristen Stein designs on ravelry (also on Amazon) has a poncho pattern called "something warm, something blue" that calls for just over two latte cakes. It would be stunning in white. You can also search for the yarn on ravelry and look at projects that other people have made with the cakes to get ideas.
you could work a cowl sideways instead of in a tube, yes. You could work a flat panel piece, as wide as you want the cowl to be tall, and then work a length as large as you want the circumference to be. Then join the ends.
What size hook in the letters don’t have crochet hook in mm sizes cause they are older, so what is a 6.? mm in us size using letters I have k which is 6.5?, J sizes and a 5.50 mm strange on that one mine are mixed…lol btw those are way to exspen at that web site way too much money
Sorry but I’m confused 🤷♀️. I thought you said multiple of 2 then add one. But you counted out 115 to begin 🤷♀️🤷♀️. Maybe you say something further in the tutorial. I’m just now watching 🧶🤷♀️. Thanks

This is BEAUTIFUL!
Hi. The chain is sooo iimportant. Could you maybe lightly iron it before starting in?
Thank you so much for this awesome tutorial!! 🐰🐰
I love it💓
Gorgeous 💖💖💖💖
Very nice 👍👌😊
I wonder if the in the round would work for making a sweater body, and maybe attach a different piece like a mesh for the top arm portion?
Love this

What is it about a star stitch that makes everything look prettier?
Good morning I crochet this for kid the age 6 years old how many chain i must do
You are awesome!! ❤️
Does the fringe knot or tangle when you wash the scarf or cowl etc
Is the whilms merino good for left handed too?
How do you put it on with so long fringes? They must be in the way.

I might have missed it but did you say how many yards or what ply the yarn is?
How do you wash it? Will the fringe tangle up?
Is this the ztwist yarn the other they sell looks like ball yarn?

Just realized you said "ztwist" not "zztwist" Yes, this merino is the yarn that Furls has that is z twisted for crocheters. :)
How many yarn balls did you use dear
Beautiful!! Jennifer if i used the latte cake would you still see the stitch as good with a non fluffy yarn?

About how many routes did you do? I'm asking with the star row & the the hdc rite add one row. I tried to count & think I counted 15. Thank you.
I know this is a year late but I’ve stopped the video slow and zoomed in counting 25 rows in total !

What weight is this yarn? DK? Or worsted?
I am struggling lol. The center keeps getting smaller by the time I get to the 4th round.

£27 FOR A CROCHET HOOK , YOU MUST BE KIDDING!

the multiple IS 2 plus 1. 115 is a multiple of 2 plus 1. 114 is a multiple of 2 (it is 2x57) and then the plus one makes it 115.
@@vegangelist thank you. I miss understood. I thought it was 115 plus 1. Thanks for your prompt reply!!🧶🧶👍🏻
