That 2021 Rolland Garros was pure chaos.
Only redeeming quality was Pavlyuchenkova in the final
2020 AO is one of the most unexpected, but well deserved wins.
That Kenin would beat anyone in any era.

I misunderstood the "Top 5" reference in the title for player rankings. Took me a while to understand that it was "Top 5 bad slam runs by top 16 seeded players".
Even the girl lost again Naomi Osaka.... IDU it's just normal.

Tbh many players who defeated the higher seeded players are well known right now / developed 😅
Considering Rybakina lost 5 of the next 6 tiebreaks she played after that infamous Blinkova loss, I thought that match was going to haunt her forever. And then she finally won a deciding tiebreak against Azarenka in Miami after a bagel in the second set… 💪💪💪
2019 were scary at how awful top 10 players were at slams, FO, W and USO dropping like flies and not making it to week 2.

The worst grand slam in recent times is indubitably 2020 AO followed by 2021 FO.
2020 Australian Open was good. Kenin played out of her mind.
That was the last LEGIT slam before covid.
Kenin defeated: Barty, Gauff, Muguruza, Ons and Zhang. That draw is iconic.
Worst slam is definitely the 2021 US Open.
Literally NO one was in Emma Raducanu's draw. 😂😂😂

@@brandonaldaymachuse6669 but that's because they fixed the draw for Barty as always... same thing happened at AO 2021, Osaka, Muguruza, Sabalenka, Serena, Halep, Swiatek all in other half... and that's how Brady got to the finals lol
@@deusexmachina9776 yeah to this day the only Slam Swiatek deservingly won is her first cause Halep and Kenin were good opponents. The rest is just lack of competion... that US Open seems fine but actually it was just thanks to Aryna choking like always in SF of Slam... she should have never won that one

- 2018 Wimbledon final is between multiple GS champion Kerber vs Serena
- No.1 Iga won FO 2022 against eventual GS champion
- Sabalenka saved AO 2024 with 2nd crown
For this list, I prefer:
1. US 2017, a disaster grandslam from beginning to the end 👎
2. US 2021, the worst finalists ever
3. RG 2021, the worst ever
4. RG 2010
5. Wim 2022 due to stupid ban decision to Russian and Belarussian player

@@Vescilla Yes, since 2012. Serena Vika Masha Petra Kerber Aga Caro and Halep are more stability players.
Or just opposite. There are no weak players. You must be carefull in every round.
With enough nostalgia, current era is always weak era.
Or very strong with the entire top 50 able to beat anyone.
