- I stain all the logs, clear some trees and mound dirt around the house. This diverted spring melt water away from the house foundation ad floor. I went to California for a fire as an Engine boss on a type 6 engine. I returned the the tent fell down due to snow. #alaskaliving, #buildingahomesteadfromscratch, #alaska, #loghouse
Awesome build, 22:36 NC USA 🇺🇸
Laona soon you will have a house in every city in Alaska!! Your such a hard worker, you just never quit!
You are an amazing lady. I wonder, do you ever just relax? Hope you are keeping well. 😊😊
INCREDIBLE WORK this woman does! replacing the fuel tank at her Fairbanks house......all of her cabins are beautiful......the ENERGY of this Woman!!! WOW......
wow you keep amazing me 😍
You are amazing 🇬🇧😊
Great job! You are so inspirational !
Lots of hard work! You rock!
Northern lights are beautiful!!
Love how u make ur videos!!! Also love how u explain what ur doing !! So Beautiful!! 💜
Thank you for another wonderful video, keep up the good work .
You are awesome
Impressive!
I really like this house better than the one at the other location. Seems like you would not be as afraid in a thunderstorm there as the other place. You MAY think about adding gravel to the base of this house under the floor joists and around the house to keep varmints out. Just a thought. 🙂
I didn't think you could manage that 300 lb block but you proved me wrong.
Hello from Delta! Love your videos , have been watching them all
You are amazing, hard working and smart. Thanks for sharing your cabin build. Having built my own cabin by myself I can appreciate how much work goes into a cabin build. Best of luck in the future from Colorado ! 💜💜
I think gutters would help too
I'm so happy to see that you posted a new video. I was afraid that you took all the money you got from RUclips and went to a south seas island, LOL.
Lol, not yet maybe later!
Your Cabin setting amongst all those Beautiful trees - is just Perfect! You found a good piece of land. The stain that you used on the exterior of you house, really adds character and depth to the logs. What is your elevation? Are you able to have a garden in the summer, in your location in Alaska?
I was thinking about you today when I was sawing out some eastern red cedar with my HM122 sawmill. Thinking how you could cut the logs and build if you enough trees.
👍😎🇨🇦
Young lady is there anything you can’t do I don’t think so
Have you ever tapped your birch trees and made birch syrup?
Not yet. There’s a lot here!
I find your builds “confusing”…..I can’t figure out which one is which. Disjointed. Your videos are interesting and enjoyable, but I can’t follow where you are at as I watched the one with the loft and now you are on a log house, plus one in Fairbanks?
Just as a suggestion, dirt will not shed water away from your structure. Water will just drain through.
Best suggestion is a french drain, which is a lot of work and expensive. There are alternatives though such as gravel water barrier, and more gravel. This will need to be sloped away from the structure with drain channels.
