I was too old to be into this when it came out but I did have a younger sibling who adored it. Looking at said sibling uh, yeah, I'm pretty sure the average viewer of this show would be about 14-18 now so that nostalgia wave should be coming any day now.
as someone who grew up with team umizoomi, i can confirm im currently being hit with an umizoomi nostalgia wave edit: should mention im an '07 kid for reference. so late gen z i think.
I was way out of the target demo when I started watching this show. I turned 8 in 2010. I just turned 20 a few weeks ago lol. I still love it, though. Keep up the great work!
I am somewhat glad you decided to talk about this, I was somewhat associated with someone who was involved into trying finding the pilot named Yaili, back when the pilot was a new thing in it’s old page (which is now gone and instead there is a new page discussing the pilot, in which I found this video) there used to be comments of trying to find this pilot, and I was one of the commenters (back then I was known as IzzyIzzyTotaldramadrama, which is self-explainatory and I was 11-12) back then I had been writing differently than now, I WAS absolutely obsessed with this pilot and I tried contacting nickelodeon with hopes of them accepting it but unfortunately nothing happen., honestly I have nothing else to say tbh but I am super glad that the pilot is being mentioned in this video, also I guess I won’t say more cuz I have forgotten all of it.
this tv show's target audience (since this came out in 2010) is nearing its 20s right now. i watched this show as a kid (i'm 18 now). I remember it being pretty mid so it took a back seat in my memory(i remember shows like blue's clues, wild kratts, gravity falls, and phineas and ferb a lot better)
Funny you should mention The Littles. One reason I enjoy Team Umizoomi is because I grew up watching The Littles and the ider of tiny heroes always had an appeal. Plus Umi Car is just rad.
I noticed how the credits for early Season 1 were tagged 2008. The sailboat race one, last of the season to premiere was ironically the first produced, and certainly feels it. Between Team Umizoomi's latest premiere in April 2015 and the Blue's Clues reboot in late 2019, Donavan Patton voiced Bot in an online food truck game, and a yoga ad. I also remember Milli's latter VA singing lines of Bubble Guppies songs when they continued the monthly themes. Aside from Peppa which came to the states in 2011 but actually is circa '04, recent midnight airings of Dora as far back as S3, while Bubble Guppies is 2011 with a near 3 year gap after its S4 and Blue's Clues rebooted 12 years after its end, Team Umizoomi may be the oldest Nick Jr show in reruns now.
I posted this comment on an LSSQ video, but I'll post it here as well. I have some information regarding Nickkit UberHotmix. I actually watched it while it was public. For context, I used to make (now deleted) lost media videos, with one of them being about the Bubble Guppies pilot. Someone commented a while later letting me know that a clip from the pilot had been found, and led me to the video, which was still public at the time. Obviously, there was a clip from the Bubble Guppies pilot, but aside from that, from what I can remember, nothing from the Umizumiz pilot was present. It began with a CG rendered woman (most likely a cartoon version of a Nickelodeon employee) standing in an orange background. She was thanking people for support over the past twenty-seven years, though whether or not this was directed towards just Nickelodeon employees or the general Nickelodeon fanbase is something I don't remember (definitely the former if it truly was intended for internal use only, but whether or not it was is also something I'm unsure of). The compilation itself is comprised of short clips of many shows playing in succession of each other accompanied by music. The clips were only a few seconds long. The compilation was similar to the Nick Studios Florida compilation from 2000 where the clip from Me and my Friends was discovered. Some of the clips had audio, and some didn't. If I remember correctly, there actually weren't many clips from obscure pilot episodes (aside from the Bubble Guppies pilot, obviously). Most of the clips themselves were actually from standard episodes of readily available Nickelodeon shows. Obviously, it'd be weird to only include a clip from the Bubble Guppies pilot, so I don't doubt there were possibly more obscure clips, but I don't believe there were any clips from the Umizumiz pilot present. At the time, I had also made a video about the Umizumiz pilot, so the initial commenter likely would've pointed it out to me as well if it was, and I probably would've remembered seeing it. Even if it is, I'm almost positive the audio from YailiTheAMRTRCAndHopFan2007's clip wasn't sourced from Nickkit UberHotmix, simply due to the short nature of the clips in the compilation. That being said, I'm unsure where the clip with audio would've originated from if that's the case. Regarding the clips originally posted by The Official CompleteGamer!, I remember them being sourced from an animator's demo reel. Last I checked, the reel is still up, but the clips from the pilot have since been removed. I don't remember who the animator was, but the clips were archived in high quality in this video (ruclips.net/video/dZSUaza7rbU/видео.html), which to my knowledge, has all of the available footage from the pilot. As for Nickkit UberHotmix, the only clips I can remember specifically (aside from the clip from the Bubble Guppies pilot) are some clips from SpongeBob, a short clip from the Making Fiends episode, "Mama Vendetta," and possibly a clip from Wow! Wow! Wubbzy (though, I may be misremembering that detail). This is all I know. I unfortunately didn't archive it, as I didn't anticipate it becoming lost. Sorry I couldn't be more help. I don't have any proof for these claims, so I understand any skepticism that may come from this comment. This is all from personal recollection anyway, so I'd recommend taking this with a grain of salt either way. In any case, I wouldn't hold my breath for much to be uncovered if Nickkit UberHotmix gets found.
@jthemad2616I remember hearing that Blue might be for the purpose of a "Whistle". Maybe he's meant to guide the team? That could explain the whistle-like appearance of his head.
My guess for what zig zag might have done is teach patterns since we know in the show that milli and geo get there names from what they teach (milli is reference to millimeter s and geo to geometry). Since a zig zag is a kind of pattern the character zig zag might have taught about number patterns.
OK, so I found some information on the wiki it says that it was originally fully public but it was taken down and this was on 2012 so maybe someone has a downloaded version of the video
So RareSun has heard about a nick production assets leak. It's over 1 tb and it has test animations and stuff which was likely how the bubble guppies pilot was found. There’s a chance it could have this too
My only memory regarding team umizoomis is one episode with the singing robot band, bc I was obsessed with FNAF and got way too excited thinking it was some, like, collaboration with the game.

Also I found a wired article from 2010 about someone interviewing Donovan Patton (voice actor of bot) about Team Umizoomi and the writer/person that interviewed him claimed to have it. I’m not sure if anyone found it yet or tried to contact them in the past but I did it anyways but so far they haven’t responded yet. (They might not have it anymore considering it was 13 years ago but I at least expect them to give some info)

Zigzag's ability was actually pattern power, however, this ability was put with milli in the final show.
The umizumiz leaks status
Millie: measuring
Geo: counting
Bot: (shit I forgot his status)
Alphonse: shapes
Zigzag: pattern
Bot is just... bot.
But I think In the pilot he had a different voice actor
Bot in the pilot was actually a geographic type of bot. In the show, he calculates for (who knows what)
