You added to the price stuff that already comes with thenstandard package. The deluxe gives things i would get. I would buy the radio, the extra battery and better antenna
I really wanna know if this is works any better then a Beofang uv5r. A properly tuned $19 radio with tons of cheap accessories is hard to beat. I hit my local repeater 20 miles away with mine. Seriously, I’ll buy one in a heatbeat if I thought it worked better.
I have two other handhelds. A Baofeng UV-5R and a GMRS V2. Have never used the 5R for GMRS (not programmed for any of my repeaters). The GMRS V2 is about $65 and seems to work as well as the Wouxun. I decided to spend some extra money for the features that the V2 doesn’t have at that price including the beautiful display. The radio also feels way more quality in your hand and I really like the battery having a usb-c charge port instead of having to drop the radio into a charger. You can always order one on Amazon and try it out. If you don’t think it’s any better than the UV-5R you can return it. Sometimes it’s nice to try both. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I really like both of these radios. The Wouxun is what I use indoors at home. The color display is beautiful and the fit and finish is top notch. The two drawbacks are you can’t see the color display in bright sunlight and you are also not able to display the channel name and frequency at the same time, whereas with the BTech I can. That said, my Btech runs a close second. It fits nice in your hand and is reasonable for around $65. Receive and transmit quality is also very good. I like using this one in my truck because the display is visible in bright sunlight, unlike the Wouxun. It make a great second radio that you’re not worried about throwing around or getting scratched. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@EverydayATV your very welcome for the comment and the watch time thank you so much for the detailed information you like between the KG-935G Plus kit I just bought and thanks so much for the information on the BTech likes and dislikes Can you share the Btech radio model info I would like to buy a couple being I want them in my rigs since you said the displays are super easy to see in sunlight
I think chirp will let you open the frequencys up to cover 136 mhz to 480 I believe I unlockd my 8h to cover those freqs pretty much the same radio just in ham form not gmrs out of the box
You can’t do it through chirp. Theres another program you have to use. But I wouldn’t go with the Gmrs version and do it. I would go with the ham version and unlock the gmrs. Its has more power.
I ordered my kit super nice just wanted to see in detail what I would be getting super Awesome deluxe kit not bad for the 90 extra dollars

The Uv-5R isn't aloud to be used for transmission on Gmrs is not legally aloud even if you have a Gmrs License the UV-5R is a Ham Radio

Can the KG-935G Plus be modified for use on amateur frequencies?
As far as for transmitting, not that I’m aware of. It will receive VHF and UHF frequencies, but out of the box transmits on GMRS only.
