This scene is just absolutely hilarious. Atreus being so absent minded. Kratos looking like a tourist eyeing and trying out foreign food, still ate out of respect. Sindri annoyed by guests. Brock saying he sniffed that mf light of alfheim like cocaine and everybody going silent was the icing on the cake. Super awkward dinner lmao
To be fair I'm pretty sure Kratos would know what sausages are, given how he did live with Faye for many years. They surely musta cooked for each other.
@@squashmallow2006 not only that, but Kratos is a Spartan, and Spartans eat a disgusting black pork stew, so Kratos can likely eat anything.
Sindri was annoyed by everyone being inconsiderate. His brother spitting in his face, odin/tyre splashing his food in his face, Atreus reaching over his bowl and lastly brok again pounding the table making something splash into his bowl hitting him in the face.
I love how kratos seems to be alot more caring for mimir this time around, actually calling him by name and saying brother back, and asking his advice.
Ikr. The growth between those two is honestly one of the highlights for in this game

In the journal he says how he has come to find his counsel and advise very indispensable, and if anyone he could call brother it would be him. Kratos has grown a astounding amount to open up again like this.

2 and a half hours later...kratos is still eating and game is telling me to stand up
Notice how Tyr is disgusted by Brok's food; it's not because his food is bad or anything, it's because Tyr is Odin and Odin's used to better quality food for kings/gods.

Nope, Odin doesn't actually eat. In the norse mythos, Odin is described to have stopped eating anything, and only drinking mead. When given a meal, he secretly hands it off to his two wolves (who are absent in this game). If you pay close enough attention, you'll see that "Tyr" only takes a bit out of the "sausage", but doesn't swallow. Instead, he spits it back into his cup. It's also why he says "I remember food tasting better."
'Tyr' nearly breaks character because Brok's cooking is so bad.
I can't get enough of this scene. there's too much to look at. the differing way they all eat. how they consider the food, everyones differing reactions to each other and whats happening. normally you get shown what you're meant to see and that's it, but here you can see everything and I can't look at it all at once and it's frustrating XD
This is the most beautiful but awkward best thing ever seen in this game Kratos who was once god of war and leader of the Spartan armies with his son and mamir and tyr just eating some sausage all together at the table with Brock and his brother

This scene is actually legitimately nice when you consider the Greek Saga. Kratos pretty much was constantly at war, killing and trying not to be killed, and here we see him surrounded by actual friends.

There are a lot of hints to this-especially going back and playing through the game again, but this one requires a bit of knowledge about norse mythology to catch.
