I am a fan off signiture style guitars. If this is going to be a series, maybe stick to those types of guitars, hagstrom fantomen, wylde audio, dave murray fender, adrian smith sdx Jackson those sorts, maybe even make them into an artists rig of the week.
I'm usually not a huge fan of signatures, but I like that idea. Also this one, as well as James Hetfield's Snakebyte, are ok signatures because it doesn't look overly like their guitar. If you didn't know any better you'd think that was just a factory guitar
I bought a left handed version of this guitar back in december 2019. I absolutely love how it feels to play. The neck is so comfortable. It stays perfect in tune for a long long time. And the EMG's. Love them. For the price, it's a very good guitar with a lot of value in my opinion!
These pickups sound pretty amazing to me. A very slick yet heavy sound, like record ready without much tweaking. And somehow these LTDs/ESPs makes me extremely nostalgic. It’s like I’m back in -95 and browsing the Thomann catalogue at my friends house.

I bought my ESP KH2 21 years ago and payed a few hundred less than what that ltd version gos for. Makes me feel damn good when i see any esp/ltd nowadays. Craigslist has saved me a shitload of money. Three guitars ive saved a shitload of money on. Thank you for this video. KH2 was my dream guitar when i first taught myself to play and its still my number one beast.

Wow,you absolutely nailed that oldschool Metallica tone on this video.About the Pau Ferro fingerboard: that is NOT a cheap type of wood,Suhr uses it on their super-expensive custom shop models. For example, Reb Beach has a Pau Ferro fretboard on his insanely expensive Suhr sign. models with the Koa body/top. And yeah,I concur, an EVH tribute would be cool.
I have four LTD's. SC706B, F207, a Snakebyte, and an F400. All bought online with out playing them before. I've been lucky to instantly fall in love with them as soon as I tune them and start playing them. LTD makes a great guitar for the price.
Bought this guitar in 2013. The left handed version (81/85 EMG's). Still playing it daily. One of the best ST out there. Versatile, with lots of gain itself and endless sustain (with a good setup). Great testing from Ola, cheers.

10:05 It does use neck pickup, you just can't have one of the volume knob at 0, because it won't work at all. It's a wiring thing, it works the same in my Les Paul. Try the other way around - bridge pickup at 10 and change neck volume knob level - you won't hear anything when neck volume knob is at 0.
@@raaphor Nope, I have passive pickups in my LP. It's just wiring. When one of the knob is at 0 there's no path for signal, so there's no sound. There's no any bypass when knob is at 0.

ESP have never failed to impress me. Quality is always spot on but then you’d expect that from a Japanese based company even though a lot of their stuff is made elsewhere. Production control and quality is the key.
Love the new segment. I probably wouldn’t have that guitar at the top of my must buy list, but it checks a lot of boxes. I understand why you chose it.
I don't know what it is with these LTD KH series but they come set up GREAT (even the 202 comes fantastically playable) and the fretboards are some of the best I ve seen. They really make these shine when sent out. The neck on the 202 was actually better imo, unfinished and as smooth if not more so than any fender.
Always had good experiences with the ltd series. Much more so than other brands/models of equal cost. It would likely be very useful for regular joes for some more signature model reviews. Thanks for all u do, Ola!
The PRS MH 7 string has been critically acclaimed at being one of the best 7 strings in the mainstream guitar market right now. Would love to see you give it a go!
I tried out a used ltd 250NT. I was so impressed I paid $250 for it because it had bare knuckle Mules. The tone and sustain was awesome. Then I had a set of railhammers installed and it is ferocious. It's amazing that inexpensive guitars can sound so good. I think it sounds better than my horizon.
I love EMGs. As long as that's the kind of sound you're looking for they will always sound good. I actually really like the clean sound from an EMG in the neck but I don't think that's a popular opinion.
I bought a Hetfield LTD baritone Snakebyte last year and it came properly setup right out of the box. I put thinner strings on it because I wanted an Eb but the brighter sound of the longer scale length and when I did that it needed a minor truss rod adjustment but apart from that it was exceptionally well setup. Much better than some more expensive Gibson guitars I've bought in the past. One thing that did impress was the intonation was spot on. Not just close - dead fucking on. I can't imagine how much better the full on ESP guitars are.

The LTD I recieved from Anderton's had an amazing setup as well. Lovely neck too. Honestly the best guitar Ive ever played imo. Really like esp.

Is it a newer Les Paul perhaps? That should only occur if you’re in the middle position and one pickup is at 0. Maybe something funky with the wiring.

I honestly love the bone breakers; they’ve got the grit and general voice of the 81/60 set, but Kirk’s ears tuned the pickups to have more high mids
