I just bought my KH3 today. 15% off for Black Friday. Almost everyone was out of stock, felt so lucky to find one. My wife maybe wasn't so happy. Coincidentally, as soon as I got in my truck Metallica started playing on the radio I told her it was a sign affirming my decision and excellent taste.
No kidding. I watched a recent review and he just mopped up with his lead playing after saying, "Who am I kidding, I can't play leads." Not kidding anyone, mate.

For someone who says he sucks at leads, your leads were better than many lead guitarists in my ear. I don't like leads that exaggerate and yours were a nice blend of simple, melodic and technical at the same time. Good stuff!
I absolutely love how added that flourish that Kirk adds to the solo on "One" when he plays it live. Not my taste in guitars, but I was highly entertained by this video.

That was some awesome work, your track you made sounds better than what they have put out since the Black Album. Your little work at the clean sections was amazing.
For the guys who insist there's no reason for a tone knob on a guitar I present you the EMG 81 as a counter argument, and apparently the 60A is also helped out by about 60 to 90 degrees of tone knob rotation. I definitely prefer the X series pickups for guitar and for bass. One of the strengths of the EMG pickup and preamp line of products is the versatility, the wide variety of tones that are possible with every EMG product I've ever installed or played in a guitar or bass.

They made him this guitar because back then he was still using a black Gibson Les Paul with the EMG. So ESP wanted to make him something that had the body style of a Les Paul.
I was at a Metallica show in either 96 or 97 during the load tour I think.. when the apocalypse section of the show happened it was genuinely frightening.. especially not knowing it was part of the show until much later.. great show.

I really really would be so close to buying one if the volume wasnt strat-esque close to the bridge. That volume knobs proximity and the spider logo are the drawbacks. Put this out in some different colors? Hell yeah. Purple? Instantaneously SOLD. Could you confirm if this the body is noticeably smaller than a regular LP? It always looked pretty teeny on Kirk. If they sold a perhaps a cheaper model with the floyd still there - man, it would be so cool. Seeing the Monsters of Rock vids on early RUclips, 2006, when I was 11 - is what made me pick up guitar. Nostalgic as all hell.
I think the older LTD kh603 comes with the original floyd rose made in germany not the 1000 made in korea. Other different the older version LTD comes with both EMG 81 pickup, rosewood without scallops fretboard at higher frets
I LOVE 24 fret 24¾" scale guitars. I have a BC Rich Bich Exotic Classic and and Kiesel Hyperdrive with those specs, and they're perfect for me (yay smol hand gang!). I *might* check one out if I see a lefty.
The neck volume is in the same exact spot of Kirks other guitars. I have the purple sparkle ouija ltd and it’s just as close to that bridge pickup but it doesn’t bother me much
Knobs look to be in about the same space as my Demonology. A little close but not an issue. I don't like the switch position though. I like a tight bar that's mostly horizontal so the switch is always under it. I'd prefer the Les Paul switch position.
Very helpful always. Finally I have yet ordered this guitar..haha. This one is more brutal or powerful than old KH602. The body shape seems to be most affecting one in spite that the bonebreaker pickup in this guitar might be weaker and instead more sound fluent than EMG 81/60 set in KH602. *Eventually and unintentionally, I bought 3 guitars introduced from you. Haha. But this one is almost decided from you. Thanks.

Just got this yesterday it Is a killer guitar had sweetwater plek the board, I like the headstock offers some more sustain not so much string angle.
