Might be a silly question but why are you using braid as a shock leader. Surely braid as a shock leader defeats the object of it not being able to stretch and take the shock from a cast? I’m a newbie learning to beach fish so any help would be great.
awesome video. ive got a bluefish myself and its great rod to cast for edibles but quite strong against rays too. those bionic finger makes it so much easier to cast on those low mount rods.
Only problem for me with that is I set my drag before fishing so i do not have to mess around and i know its drag is correct . Do not think I will use mine if that is the case .
Lets see a guy throw a 1oz spoon with a 14ft conventional rod filled with line and a multiplier reel. The skill has been lost from the demise of KP reels and now convectional rods heading the same direction. Not going to spend 5k for a casting rod and another 4k for a multiplier reel. Then there is the cost of braid. That's absolute rubbish, fishing is now becoming an elitism sport where only the rich can afford. Gone are the days where the average bloke could buy a affordable rod and reel. Then the fishing has also declined over the years.
Evolution it is.. You dont have to fork out alota pennies for a grinder setup... Heck a cheap combo can out fish a expensive combo.. Comes down to experience, reading water etc.
Lekker Dankie 🎉
