It’s nice to have the pump shotgun for when you’re strolling through bayou nwa and the panther jumps on you 😂
Bolt action that 3 star with a headshot then store it on your hunting wagon.
And If some cocksucking players at rank 600 come and keep killing your rank 7 character over and over again
Pump shotgun has definitely came in clutch not just for the legendary animals & predators but also against NPCs nothing beats a pump action vibe check even at medium - close range
Aint the rapist down there also
Nah bro I obliterate gators with the pump
The fact that people are still making videos that help new players even with all support cut from rockstar warms my heart
learn from pvp cat this a pile of bull
@@PapaRunebeard I can't fully understand "pvp cat".. do u know someone else for rdo tips?

"The bolt-action is great for killing large animals without damaging the pelt"
*damages the pelt*
I have always had the best luck with the carcano
Try nitro rounds, and hit head shots.
I’ve never damaged a pelt with the bolt unless It was my fault for bad shot, wrong ammo, ECT, ECT.
Guess you’re just a bozo man
i always make sure to use regular ammo in rdo to not damage the pelt ,for sone weird reason rdo is way more sensitive when it comes to pelts. good hunting.
Could also use rolling block tho
Lol yea and bolt action on bison. You can get 3 star with rolling block to it's head
“First weapon: varmit rifle.”
Me: Ah yes, the ol’ varmit rifle. I remember using that old gun when I was making my way to New Vegas. Good times…
Served me well back in the day, she did, now I’ve just got heartaches by the number…
Decided to switch from a varmint rifle on my back, to a big iron on my hip…
@@Space_CowboyHDyes she was a beast like Russian fist
Yss
My boots jingled jangled jingled while using the varmint rifle. Good times
Me personally, I roll with the double barrel shotgun, just in case the doors of hell open up, and a revolver because you can't be a cowboy if you don't have a big iron on your hip.
Real ones know how deadly varmint rifle was back in beta pvp
The most accurate rifle with that one headshot. People were pissed.
it was goated back in the day
I still use it for pvp and a medium range to close range it’s a one shot headshot
Thats so dumb why the hell did they nerf it? i knew something was off when i hopped back on rdr online back when it launched one of the reason i got bored of it 😂 they never merf anything on gta except the rhino tank and that was it
@@pascualbp well they did nerf the opressor mk2 even though they should pacify the damn thing completely
Bow is very versatile, it can take down mostly anything with an improved arrow, and using them on alligators keeps the skin clean. It also has fire, small game, tracking, poison, and explosive arrows, which are useful for people and small animals
The improved how is worse than the regular bow in almost every way except range
I like that the explosive arrow is basically "fuck that specific enitity."
I'd say the explosive shotgun shells are the same way lol Can you imagine having both at the ready at the same time? Look out NPCs XD
The bow is broken with Dead Eye, it still does that little thing where a thrown projectile follows an enemy no matter where they go if you tag them in Dead Eye, so your arrows will always hit there target no matter where your enemy runs to
Homing Arrows💀

I use the Evans purely for the sound lol love that huge ass bang it does with every shot
Imagine trying to get a player while they’re walking normally doing a mission, and then they pull out a explosive arrow
"Its used to sedate animals" dumps entire tube into deers spine
"Doesn't damage the animal" misses the heads headshot and puts 2 rounds in a buffalo's ass, ruining the pelt
And I’m sure that deer was sedated… permanently
Takes more than one shot in the game for larger animals to be sedated

Two Navy Revolvers
Dynamite
That's all that I've needed to dominate servers.
I do love the Evans as an alternative to the Lancaster. But two navy revolvers with max revolver cards are deadly and probably the most fun you’ll have
Yeah I use the evans instead
Yessss love Dual Navy’s! Hip fire on literally anything and you’re mowing through EM!

Navy's are good guns and fun hand cannons but honestly, the Lemats just have them beat.
I don't do that much hunting in Red Dead online, it's just mostly me taking care of my original customizable mute protagonist and his horse name Amethyst.
The damn mountain lion near Blackwater, it's on sight whenever that animal is around you just casually riding into that town Blackwater until out of nowhere that damn mountain lion jumps you, yet that same mountain lion is a punk in Grand Theft Auto V single player story mode if you're in a vehicle or on a dirt bike. To which you take the opportunity to get your revenge on a animal that's been giving you problems in two different games made by Rockstar Games.
Personaly i think that the "springfield rifle" is better than the "bolt action rifle" when it commes to hunting bigger animals.
who are you quoting?
That's what I always use.
Same
Same here. Springfield is higher damage and turns your whole ammo capacity into your magazine without awkward reload pause
@@nikolaigoven9575 real Gs toggle deadeye to skip reload.
I barley ever came into conflict with people in red dead online. It’s a pretty mature community
Bruh dis dude. the first one I agree, but always carry a good sniper like the rolling block, a nice shotgun because the rounds are versatile, and your favorite lever action/ duel pistols
He did do a lever action. But yes great point on the snipers, it always ends up as a sniper battle at the end of the day
Only way rolling block is beating carcano is if you’re using FF.
@@Kurvveo I prefered the rolling block because it was cool and I hunted big game
Lancaster is unnecessary, if you know how to use a Carcano it's one of the best things you can buy
Elegant gun to remove anything in your way in one shot
Carcano rifle is still a realy good one to use in hunting and pvp
My picks are: 2 Navy Revolvers, Semi-Auto shotgun, Carcano Rifle and an Improved Bow. Hope this helps 😊
If only there was a reason to still play rdo 😢😭
Ong, i love the game but theres literally no reason to play at all
idk, had few hundreds hours in it, it's still fun
Shotguns and dual wield revolvers have left the chat😂😂
Sedative rounds are useful in online considering that the effects remove their stamina completely.
Yes that’s what sedation is 😂
Pump, semi or repeating shotgun is a complete must have.
Especially once slugs are unlocked.
I don’t even run a repeater rifle anymore.
Bolt action, pump shot gun, and bow/knife for stealth missions.
Imma give you a like cause I’ve had read dead since it came out and had no idea about the eggs detail wow very nice man!
The Varmint Rifle is also extremely useful for fast multiple headshots with the controller, i killed like 6 police men in 2 seconds with it, personally i think its extremely underrated for pve.
The video casually ends with a man turning into nothing as he gets hit with an explosive arrow
here something you should know the guns are based on their real life counterparts.
Lancaster repeater is Winchester m1866
I wish it wasn't a dead game though, Rockstar can't seem to work on anything besides GTA no matter how much we want them too
Needs to be renamed to Just Dead Online
I came up with an absolutely villainous strat called the Oppressor Mk 0. You get on the fastest horse you own and use a dynamite bow with Paint it Black to kill players. It works as long as you have some defensive cards such as Never Without One.
And If Your Willing To Grind, The Elephant Rifle Is Great For Protection Against Players.
Best, must-have weapons *IMO*
-Varmint Rifle
-Lancaster Repeater
-Navy/LeMat Revolver (preference)
-Carcano Rifle
-Semi-Auto/Pump-Action Shotgun (preference)
This is all you really need.
Bows are neat, but I suck at using them, so I don't.
wait why am i just finding out about the bird nest now
It's mostly for the collectors role as to why you would be shooting the nests in the game which is too collect the eggs
As someone who's grinded way too much time hunting you also need any shotgun for wolves, as they seem to spawn at the most inopportune time and are tanky as hell and I'd personally substitute the bolt action for the carcano, more capacity, damage, scope, it's just harder to aim
What skin is that on the Lancaster? It’s beautiful!
The metal is tempered steel from one of the old outlaw passes
Glad i got it
It's free for me to put on all weapons
@@christophj4403can you shut up?
@@mangoonaspork6965pray they bring it back soon enough like they did with the Halloween one.
I use the Springfield instead of the bolt action. Mainly just the damage increase to make sure it dies quick.
“Without ruining the quality.” Shoots the bison twice, thus ruining the quality.
1. Repeater for long distance
2. Shotgun for run & gun in close spaces around camps, trains, PvP, buildings
3. Handgun (any) to pull you out of tricky situation when need to reload 1. or 2.
4. Bow for stealth and hunting
That is all
Man, Rockstar really managed to take aim assist to the next level
Ikr, aim assist more like aimbot, so annoying, as a PC player I can’t do close to mid range fights since I will get immediately one shot headshot destroyed, I always need to be more strategic and find a vantage point to snipe from, I wish they would add a slight aim assist to kbm too...
Gotta say, the varmet rifle used to be a powerhouse in pvp before everyone caught on to using cards to break the game. Low recoil, high accuracy, a high ammo count, high fire rate and still a 1 shot to the head. Many a player was dinked by me and my friends way back when it came out.

Out of all my friends I was by far the best close range gunslinger. With my lemat revolver nobody could beat me in a quick draw competition. For a brief moment I got to experience what it's like to be the fastest hand in the west.
I bought the bow first. Me and my friends used to go on like 5 to 8 hour animal hunts and just keep selling and turning things in.
Personally I prefer the rolling block to the bolt action, because a scoped Lancaster can already do most things the bolt action can do
Hunting tip always use standard ammunition unless you are using the bow for small animals use the small game arrows or if someone is trying to take your legendary animal just hit it with a explosive/fire arrow and ruin the pelt
Also, the moments you can use a bow to get away with a quiet kill are well worth it.
Evans instead of lancaster. Not having to reload while clearing a massive moonshiner camp or hideout is a big help. Also having repeating shotgun helps with a ton of pvp shit too.
Explosive arrows are always OP af regardless of the game. However they are usually a double-edge sword as self damage can be quite a pain.
so don't shoot at your feet then. Problem solved.
@@valravnsshadow9422 clearly you overlook close quarter situations and panic fire. Some people react different than others. Dont come at me with that simple solution when a bunch of factors could affect a fight.
I prefer the Springfield for hunting especially when you're using Paint It Black since it only loads one round per shot. That way you can't ruin the pelt when you accidentally mark an animal twice with the bolt action.
I .... I actually agree. For the most part. This is a solid setup.
But it changes, as soon as you don't roll alone. Especially in PvP you want people to have the Carcano and it's always good to have a Shotgun.
Point is, in PvP most people are way too much into their own k/d-rate. I play with people who do not care for k/d, which makes us more relentless enemies than most people online are used to. Because we don't leave once attacked. We are stubborn and our base tactic is that one or a few of us run towards the other players, try to corner them or just force them into moving, while the rest uses the Carcano and range.
And yes, it works. We die, they die. But one thing is for sure, they are far more annoyed by getting killed than we are.
I, playing since launch, can say that it's a rarity to see anyone use the Lancaster for anything, but putting down a 3-star pronghorn
I agree, but I would replace the bolt action with the Rolling Block even though it can only be scoped it is the highest damage so it's good for anything long range. I would also add the repeating shotgun be warned your ammo will be gone in 30 seconds
Bolt action lends nicely into practice for the big boy rifles like rock and carcano. And instead of the bow I'd argue pumpshotgun. It's explosive ammo is more expensive but it's also shooting alot of them at once.
Varmint rifle: M1890 pump 22. 22 short/22lr
Bolt Action: Krag Jorgensen Rifle 30-40 Krag
Lancaster Repeater: M1866 (yellow boy) lever action, 44 rimfire at that time
In case anyone is interested
The bow is a neat weapon, and a buddie and I were messing around with weapons to see how far the bow can hit with and without paint it black Ability card. Without PIB(Pant it black), the bow already has a decent range as long as you lead shots on moving targets. With PIB, it's so dumb.
Had a guy at Emerald Station as I was at the New Hangover moonshine shcak. Decided to use it once I had a clean shot and the arrow can go far. If you ever get a chance to try its range with friends, please do so it's fun to see its range.
I ran dual pistols when fighting larger groups. Shotguns for close quarters. Varmint rifle was useful for the eggs but i preferred the bow for almost all kills. Its quiet and decent reload but helpful when tracking small to medium game. The rifle was really only for large game. Took down a moose with it and a few bears.
Navy revolvers are an absolute must for me. I also use Evans Repeater more than Lancaster. Not sure why - just suits me better I reckon.
Theo one weapon you need for RDO is a shotgun for when you realize what you spent your money on
i always carry my trusty le’mat on my hip that one round of buck shot has saved my life more times than i can count and most fights can be won with a pistol just as easily as a rifle or repeater
If you want a revolver, I suggest the Schofield. It works really well and it is slightly cheap right now
The deer the first shot: 🤤
The second shot: “LAWD😨”
Third shot: 💀
The elephant rifle is my favorite PVP weapon.
They rush on a horse, blow the horse away and flee.
I really only like to explore/hunt in that game so if pacifism isn't an option, pacifying a horse is.
Nuh uh. All you need is carbine repeater (the scope makes it into a sniper), sawed off double barrel, cattle man revolver, and varmit rifle. The lasso is good for hunting surprisingly.
I also love the Schofield revolver because my friend helped me get early on in the story via share play on my ps5 and absolutely loved it
i may be recalling this wrong but i used to rock double double sawed off shotguns with slugs
it was quite fun for CQC
I hate the fact that carcano rifle is a must have, but i have to come to terms with it. I like the pvp when it doesn't just devolve into spawncamping with a sniper
You can argue that the repeating shotgun/semi-auto shotgun are needed. Because if you are in a pvp fight and don't have a shotgun. ANY shotgun that the enemy could use overpowers you tenfold
I don't use rifles in general in rdr2 online. The only exceptions being the carcano or rolling block rifle if I need to kill a bison or grizzly bear and keep the pelt clean or the very rare pvp fight. Otherwise the bow and lasso are the tools to use. In a pve situation all you'll really need are the lancaster repeater and occasionally a sidearm.
Also any semi auto pistol either the c96 c93 or m1900 it depends on you playstyle which one you want
I use the following:
Lemat Revilver (Off-Hand)
Sawed-Off Shotgun (Sidearm)
Bolt-Action Rifle (Shoulder)
Rolling Block Riifle (Back)
Jawbone Knife (Melee)
Tomahawk (Throwable)
I use more but this is my main load out, what do you think of it?
The explosive arrows do not come along with the bow. You have to be level 93 and also buy a pamphlet to craft them.
Named my exact loadout up to the bow, I opt for dual navy revolvers and if I’m on horseback I’ll swap a repeater for a shotgun
Abother great weapon to replace the blot action would be the carcano rifle with a short scope. You can easily take out multiple targets.
and for pistol slots you should run the navy revolver, kills the npc with 2 bodyshots, reloads fast and is very accurate taking in count it’s fire rate. Of course the pistols are a better choice for pvp but the navy still not bad for pvp.
Also theres an easter egg which you have to start it in red dead online and if you play gta online, you will have to find and take pictures of some crime scenes, whenever you finish that crime in gta you’ll automatically will receive a navy revolver but with a different appearance in both games but in red dead online it’s kinda broke because that revolver skin takes longer degradation time so you won’t have to clean it occasionally.
Dual navy's, pump/lever-action shotty, Carcano - Everything I need for pvp
The varmint rifle is also my favorite pvp headhunting tool, very very accurate
Ngl I prefer the Springfield to the bolt action, that little sliver of extra damage comes in handy and it reloads pretty quick after each shot, id say about half the speed as the bold action cycles another round
Here’s my load out: dual navy revolvers (they’re absolutely amazing), Lancaster repeater, bolt action rifle, rolling block rifle ( it’s better than the carcano change my mind), and pump action shotgun. Of course I have a varmint rifle and a bow but those don’t count as I don’t use them often for combat
Interesting choices, personally since I prefer bounty hunting and moonshining. I'd choose a Lancaster repeater, lemat revolver, a bolt action rifle, and a good ol' navy revolver
Varmint rifle is also amazing with PVP, as its fast fire rate makes it forgiving and honestly dmg is mostly irrelevant if you land headshots, plus because of its intended use being rodents it makes it a very disrespectful weapon to kill people with
Caribine repeater is my favorite just because it’s so easy to use for me, I’m on console
I prefer for up close dual semi autos. Don’t aim with them. If you hip fire spam you are like a machine gun. Kills potent tonics in one mag
Rolling block
Pump action
Either duel mausers or the duel navy revolver
That’s all you really need for pvp
Rolling block with power rounds or the carcano will one shot at any range... So that's a must for PvP, then a pump for horseback and dealing with AI. And I'd say a bow and a decent repeater, or maybe a scopeless bolt action :) Id always have my rolling block though, and then two LeMats, they rock at dealing with ai too
Dual M1899, carcano sniper, semi auto shotgun and bolt action is the only right answer.
I actually really like the bow and arrow, because it’s quiet, medium ranged, and the ammo is cheap to produce
The sawed off shotgun is a must have for avoiding dying to aggressive animals especially Cougars
Varmint is actually decent at pvp, if your really good at hittin headshots it can be a really good gun
I always keep the double barrel on my back, Im sure any other shotgun or a repeater would be better for other players but it just feels right.
duel volcanic pistols can handle like 80% of pvp then run a rolling block or Carcano for when it turns to a sniper fight, and it will turn to sniper fight then run a shotty with fire rounds if they wanna play with slippy b
Imo, the pump shotgun, the Lancaster, the bolt or Springfield, maybe the rolling block, the lemat, and maybe the m1899 (I think)
My load out is the sawed off shotgun in offhand, Schofield revolver in main hand. Evans repeater because it has nice accuracy and I like the ammo count. I use it for npcs and players, works nicely. Last, the carcano rifle for fighting players at long range. Imo you need it for pvp because of slippery bastard and other snipers. Just gotta have good aim.
Varmint, Bolt action, dual sawed offs, and Pump action shot gun. Covers pvp and pve with EASE.
Varmint rifle also has the fastest fire rate of all the repeaters so it’s good for pvp if your good at headshoting
