Surprised y'all didn't use any heat to save the paint. Love your channel by the way!

Definitely one of the right tools for rolling the fenders but you left out the heat gun that should have helped the paint not chip or crack.

I just did my Mustang and it makes it so much more easier if you use a 1-inch spacer you have better Leverage with a spacer installed on the rear then use the Eastwood roller. Just make sure you put some sealer on the lip before rolling the lip that will stop moisture from getting in and rusting out quarter. Also heat the paint up with a torch that will stop the paint from cracking on the outside wheel well

I used a nice piece of ash to roll mine! However, it was really tedious... this is the right tool for the job for sure.

heat gun- never try that without one. . losing paint isn't part of the game if done right.

Fox cast Media. Just about every 2nd comment is telling you that you are doing the job wrong and if you use some heat it is not normal to lose and crack paint. Do you not read your comments? Stand up and be counted and acknowledge that you are wrong otherwise other guys may listen to your bad work practice and damage their paintwork. I hope you have a disclaimer for this vlog otherwise you would be able to be sued for educating wrong work practice. Be a man and apologise to your viewers.

any ideas on how to correct that?

  • @KM-uw4ez

Ok, losing paint is not "part of the game". If you use a heat gun to warm the paint up, it want crack. Also, a wooden baseball bat works just as well as that expensive machine and I've actually seen that machine warp the metal.

Well what do ya know I’m not the only one with that brand bead roller lol Hey guys it you’d used your heat gun just a tad the paint wouldn’t have cracked no where as bad as it usually does. But looks awesome great job👍🏻💯💯👍🏻

If he would have used a heat gun wont that help stop all the damaged chipped and cracked paint at 3.20 you can see? I'm rolling mine this week and just wondering if that will help?

I'm running 275s on 17x10s on a lowered LX and have ZERO rubbing issues and nothing is rolled.
Quad shocks are off because I have real control arms.
Do you guys just assume you need to roll your fenders because that's what the internet says?

If the only goal is to roll up that ½" lip why use a roller? It is very easy to do by hand as i have done mine. Now if you want to pull and flare out the metal a roller is absolutely nessasary.

Multi68stang I have a 93 GT and have 17x10 on the back from LMR and they rubbed against the quad shock. So I had to remove them. Some people say they don't rub others say that they do so just beware of that risk. Removing them doesn't take anything away from the car if you got good bushings on your other shocks

    • @florimshala1
      @florimshala1 5 лет назад

Bunnell the problem is that the tailpipes rub on them if you cut them of by the mufflers you should be fine

  • @wolfsfox

Throughout the entire video hyping up the beautiful paint, but then just throwing the rolling tool back and forth with zero regard for the shit cracking and flaking off the lip 😂 Sorry, I love this channel but I was shocked to see that disregard. Pretty sure about 8 out of 10 enthusiasts would know to use the heat gun, so I’m confused and sad to see that ignored here. I’d be absolutely outraged if I was the client here. I still love this channel but now I maybe take it a little less seriously. Side note:let’s see some more pushrod motors and factory fox restoration stuff!
