Viktor's dead beat mom Ludmilla is the real villain in the movie. Her "love" was conditional as long as Ivan and Viktor were winning.
Girls love conditionally. Men love idealistically.
@@therealmohammad yes but mothers are supposed to love their children unconditionally.
Kinda like today.
@@therealmohammad women actually love idealistically more than men but their true love is reversed for hot/attractive guys.
@@solth8109 not true women only can love conditionally. Its biologicaly embedded in them
When Drago threw in the towel and consoled his son....gets me every time. I'm so glad Ivan got a character arc too. Instead of just putting a stray dog down, he let it live another day.
It showed that Ivan rightly cared more about his son than a country that turned on him just because he lost once and an ex wife who only wanted his money.
@@Xehanort10 yep good call back to Rocky 4 where he was originally doing it for his country but in the match he was fighting for himself. This theme of telling yourself u do things for other people comes full circle.
@@Xehanort10 His ex-wife didn't need the money, since she was an Olympic Gold Medallist in swimming. But she definitely wanted the prestige and glory, and Ivan losing made her lose some of that.
@@js09js09 i mean if this was real life then she would've lost that long ago because we ain't dumb to know what her desires were
That cut scene in the locker room should have been included to.
I'm still mad they cut out one of the best scenes in the movie as a dvd extra. It's after the final fight and Creed goes into Drago's locker room and tells him basically that he's not valueless and to not spiral like he did after he lost the first fight against him and that they're both more than just one fight. It's such a good scene and every person that has seen it immediately goes "Why the hell did they cut this from the movie?"
That scene really ties in the father/son themes in the other movies too. Maybe it was too much of a face turn, but Rocky movies aren’t meant to be overly subtle.
I’ve seen that scene and I agree! They should’ve left that in
Yep it is INSANE that it wasn't included unelss there is plans to have them all connect again in Creed 3.
not me... i'm glad they cut it from the movie.... it's too much... it's like when a movie has too much exposition and it bothers you that the movie thinks it needs to tell you these things because you can't put 2 and 2 together...
so, now you can finally stop saying "EVERY PERSON..."
@@notimportant3686
Disagree. How can someone put together that they have all moved on from each other without showing it?
The scene in itself was quite subtle anyway.
Would have been a perfect end to the rivalry and done justice to all four characters.
"That guy...broke things in me that ain't never been fixed."
That cut SO deep.
Drago affected Rocky more than any other opponent he had.
Right. That line hit so hard. Rocky took so much damage with Drago.
@@toobadsapphire7 its because he killed Apollo...
@@matheusm8239 duh. And the fight.
For a character with such a limited vocabulary, Rocky sure has come up with the gems over the decades.
Nobody ever expected Ivan freaking “If he dies, he dies” Drago to actually find any kind of redemption, let alone be happy about it. And yet, somehow, they pulled it off. You actually feel sorry for Drago and his son, and despise the wife/mother for abandoning her son to such a hellish life and for continuing to give Drago false hope that they could be a family again. In the end, they both learned to accept themselves and each other, just as Creed learned to accept himself. Nobody expected it.
They basically made him a comic book villain in Rocky IV. Really glad they remedied that.
@@bobojo37 True but that was also kind of the point. He was basically a product, an experiment of the soviet super fighter science program (plays into the comic book villain image) and when he did not work out as well as they hopes he was cast aside like a failed prototype.
He was bitter and angry and probably rightfully so but unfortunately he was bitter at the wrong person. But I pitied him all the same and glad he understood what is really important in the end, he still had his son.
@@MaaZeus For sure, despite everything that was done to him, likely without any choice of his own, he still had his son. Viktor likely had no choice in any of it, but at least he had his father. Then when he lost, unlike what happened to Ivan, he still had his father. So history thankfully didn't repeat itself!
I can only imagine how hard it was for Stallone to film the scenes with Rocky’s son and grandson considering that his real son played that role and has passed away. The emotion in that scene was real.
It's astounding how the climactic fight can shift the mood from so triumphant with Donnie turning the tide to genuinely sad when we see how much pain Viktor puts himself through, and his father watching the consequences of his personal baggage.
I love Rocky, both the character and this entire franchise. And if this is the last time Stallone plays him, it's honestly okay. He even says, "It's your time now." His story is over.
couldn't agree more
I completely agree - I just wish he had some kind of involvement with Creed 3 instead of having zero
When Viktor looks and his mom is gone. You really feel for the guy. But he still gets up. Which I think shows that he really never gave a shit about what they thought, only what his dad thought.
For sure!
And that's why he tries to shrug off his dad's hugs the first time or too, because he doesn't think he deserves them, but then he thankfully accepts them. They were a product of their environment, but thankfully when it was all said and done, they still had each other!
The one thing I feel is missing from the Creed movies (so far, they may touch on it in Creed 3) is what’s Donnie’s relationship like with his siblings? Apollo and Mary Anne had their own children, so how did they feel about their mother adopting their late father’s love child? What do they think of Donnie becoming a fighter like Apollo? So many questions
Really dude? How about just more punching? This is not ABC's afternoon special
@@captainthruster9484 Yeah that will make for a killer script. What is the plot ? They just added more punching ! Brilliant idea
@@captainthruster9484 Lol, you're so proud of being basic.
Natural progression of the story should have Rocky passing away in the next one. Or possibly dealing with Parkinson’s. Hate it but it makes sense.
@@jivederpy2304 well, Stallone won't be in the next one and apparently it's not because he didn't want to be in it.
There's a saying: hurt people hurt people. Creed was hurt in many ways, but when he healed everything healed.
The amount of disappoinment in her face when Carly didn't remember Rocky's proposal at the zoo 😂😂😂
You guys need to check out the deleted Locker Room scene. It’s criminal that it was left out of the final cut.
For the actors of most of the Opponents in this Franchise (Carl Weathers as Apollo being the only exception) their apperances in these movies were actually their first acting gigs _ever:_ Mr.T (Clubber Lang), Dolph Lundgren (Ivan Drago), Tommy Morrison (Tommy Gunn), Antonio Tarver (Mason Dixon), Tony Bellew (Ricky Conlan), Florian Munteanu (Viktor Drago). None of these guys were trained actors, several were actual professional boxers. Most of them did a great job, for several it was the beginning of their respective Acting Careers
The family dynamic of this movie reminded me of Warrior. Tom Hardy, Joel Edgerton and Nick Nolte as two brothers, two sons and a father and their strained relationship set against the backdrop of mixed martial arts competition. I'd never heard of this movie until I watched it and was so impressed with every aspect of the storytelling.
That was a great movie.
That is such a good movie!
I agree. I hope they react to that one.
I was actually just thinking while seeing their reactions to this, that if it is painful for them to watch the boxing parts where they are hurting each other, wait until they see MMA, LOL! Of course, that is assuming they never watched MMA before, which they may have for all I know. Either way, I loved Warrior.
If i can make one request: since you're both used to boxing movies now, please watch Cinderella Man. Literally nobody reacts to this. It's probably the most realistic boxing film ever made, and is a true story. One of the most uplifting films of all time. Russel Crowe at his best.
Yes, OMG. Only one other person has reacted to it, but it’s legitimately one of the most feel good boxing movies. Only problem is how they portray Max Baer. Those parts were bs
And they filmed it in Toronto's famous Maple Leaf Gardens so YES PLEASE WATCH IT!!
@@dpax2195 yes i agree..i understand how they did it to create a compelling villain, but it was the one thing they got wrong. Otherwise an excellent film.
So good…. Great call
I think another great boxing movie for them to react to would be Southpaw. Jake Gyllenhaal absolutely crushes that role and gets great supporting performances from Rachel McAdams, Forest Whitaker and Oona Laurence. There's also really inspirational story beats just like the Rocky franchise.
I love the choice to make Drago from this 80s cartoon villain to a broken who believes he deserved the treatment he got from losing placing his hopes for the future in his son Victor who in turn is trying to make his dad proud
He didn't believe he deserved it. He didn't have a choice. Nobody in Russia would touch him after the loss. So he basically had to start over in Ukraine.
@@LucianDevine Both can be true. Ivan told Rocky about how everyone left him after their fight, and Victor reminds his dad to which his response is “I lost, but you won’t.”
This is the only franchise I know that came back from the abyss and kept being amazing. And it's because they didn't go for easy cashgrab like Matrix, Jurassic Park or Star wars. They truly did something special with every movie.
It’s actually a series I liked every part yes even part 5 lol
Cobra Kai did The Karate Kid very well and respectfully too.
@@marcusanark2541 But that's a TV show. Film series that resurfaced from the abyss with a good comeback of films. Star Wars, Matrix, Jurassic Park all utterly failed.
@@VerneditheSnail He said franchise, not films.
The only one I can think of where there was a franchise a long time a go and they went back to it is Mad Max with Fury Road, but they didn't bring back any of the actors (or the only one they could really, Mel Gibson).
Bill & Ted also did a third movie a long time after the first two, not sure that counts as a franchise (or that the third one can be considered amazing).
Several movies got a sequel decades later. The only two I saw that were good movies were Blade Runner 2049 and Top Gun Maverick. The rest were usually skippable.
All it takes is a writer that really loved the original and respects that material. With Creed, it was Ryan Coogler (who wrote and directed the first Creed, as well as Black Panther).
Usually it's a studio that wants to go back to old IP and milk it for more money, so they just hire someone to do it and it ends up as the money grab that it is.
With the success of the new Top Gun, I'm sure lots of studio execs are looking at all of their back catalog of movies to see what 80s or 90s movies they can dig up and do a sequel for and most of those will be bad
I'd also like to add that the actor playing Drago is Dolph Lundgren. Dolph studied chemical engineering for a year at Washington State University between 1975 and 1976, prior to serving his mandatory one year in the Swedih Coastal Ranger School. He finished his chemical engineering degree from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in the early 1980s and a master's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Sydney in Australia. He was a European Karate champion in 1981-1982. He won a Fulbright scholarship to MIT, so he studied in Washington, Sweden, Australia, and then Boston. He had previously met model Grace Jones in Australia, and she convinced him to leave MIT to move with her to NY and work for the Zoli modeling agency and she got him a small role in a Bond movie as a henchman. From there Rocky 4 happened and his career took off. He worked as a bouncer at the Limelight Club in NY with actor Chaz Palminteri between modeling gigs, and hung out with Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, model Iman and Steve Rubel, the owner of the famous Studio 54. He then studied acting with actress Andy McDowell (Groundhog Day) and Tom Hulce from Animal House. He speaks Swedish, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish, and learned conversational Russian and Ukranian, though he is not fluent in those 2. He still trains with weights an hour every day, a habit he has done since Rocky 4, and does karate too. He's a 4th dan black belt.
37:15 The referee asked him his name, to make sure that he was coherent enough to understand the question and form an answer. Just making sure he was coherent enough to fight.
I didn't think at first that they could improve on the first Creed.
I was wrong. This movie was INCREDIBLE! The emotions that this movie brought out of me, I didn't know I had. You guys are my favorite reactors to this franchise. I enjoyed the journey.
It has been a journey ladies. The "Rocky" films are truly one of the best and memorable franchises out there. You can watch them over and over again and never get tired of it. 🥊
38:13 Drago remembering to be a father and showing love is the best part of the movie. He did what Rocky couldn’t and put the priorities right.
It was the Rocky 1 reaction that brought to this channel and I've pleasantly enjoyed every bit of it. And now we've come to end of the saga (for now). And I'm still just as happy to see someone else fall in love with the series.
Rocky didn't bring me here, but every time they finished one it was an agonizing wait to see them watch the next. Because the overall story is so great and brought to life so well.
There is an amazing deleted scene that I really wish they kept in where after the fight Donnie goes and sits next to Victor in the locker room and tells him "you are more than just this one fight"
Viktor Drago was the highlight of this story for me, even though I loved it all. Viktor even wears Rocky's colors from the '76 film in the finale to this one. White trunks with red. All he wanted was for his parents to love and be proud of him.
When this movie was in pre-production there was a rumor WWE Star Brock Lesnar was going to play Victor Drago. I am glad that didn’t happen. As much as I like Lesnar, I can’t imagine how painful it would be to hear Lesnar attempt a bad Russian or Ukrainian accent.
Impressive observation on Viktor wearing Rocky’s colors…I usually catch things like that, so I appreciate you mentioning it!
@@MichaelAS007 Yep. It's not only the trunks. Viktor has a red and gold robe too. In the original Rocky movie, Rocky's robe was red and yellow (with a meat sign on the back).
@@kenlangston3451 In my view, Lesnar would have been too old. He's currently 44 years old, meaning he would have been 40 in '18. Viktor Drago (the character) is 28 years old according to the 'spot' that introduced him. Florian Munteanu was actually 27 years old when Creed 2 was being filmed. Ironically Dolph Lundgren was that same age when Rocky IV was being filmed.
@@J_Rossi Good eye!
The ending is extra sad because the actor who played Rocky's son in Rocky V was actually his son in real life but had died since then, Sylvestor Stallone had to act with someone literally playing the role of his son. 😢
The shot of Apollo in the background when Donnie has his moment on the bag and holds his daughter will always make me tear up. Grandpa Creed was there
You have to understand that when Rocky says the fight broke things inside home that never got fixed, he wasn't talking about physically, he was talking about emotionally/mentally. Those are the things that he's struggled with over the years.
You gals have really liked the Rocky series. I'd highly recommend "Warrior" with Tom Hardy/Joel Edgerton. The emotional swings of that movie are great and the fight scenes are epic.
They would cry for half the movie. Incredible film.
That really was a great movie. I'd also recommend Southpaw. Both great flicks
Omfg that movie is amazing
@@ryanwarbonnett5734 I never see these reaction channels watch Southpaw, that would be amazing! I feel like it’s kind of an underrated movie, Jake Gyllenhaal is phenomenal in it
I’ve been a Nick Nolte fan since Rich Man Poor Man, and in addition to Warrior, I’d also recommend Blue Chip and Prince of Tides. Oh, and 48 Hours (the first one).
When I first heard of Creed coming out, I feared it might be an average movie trying to ride on the coat-tails of the rocky Franchise, but both films have been fantastic. And if anything, they've helped rejuvenate the love people have for the Rocky character whilst still doing their own thing. This will likely be Rocky's last appearance in one but it's a very suitable send-off - he has taught Apollo everything he knows at this stage and when he says 'it's your time now' to him at the end, it's both literal (after beating Drago, Apollo is equipped to deal with pretty much anything) and metapohorical in the sense that the next film will be centred only on Apollo. There's so many parallels in this film with moments from Rocky IV, and also a lot of parent/child themes exploring the types of relationships we have with our parents - Rocky & Robert, Ivan Drago and Viktor Drago, and Adonis trying to live up to the name of his father whilst also taking on fatherhood himself. Super stuff.
It’s Adonis, not Apollo but yeah otherwise totally agree!
@@arnavmalde8832 Whoops, swiftly edited. Typo!
Yes, that is really Dolph Lundgren, the actor for Drago. He's such an amazing person. He is essentially a scientist with multiple chemical engineering and bilogical science degrees, speaks multiple languages, was a professional body builder, became a famous movie star, and philanthropist.
The series of Rocky Balboa, it is timeless. Can’t help but love this character
Yes🙂, love these movies, and love Cassie and Carly. This is a winning combo here🙂
Yep, 2 Blondes in a pot !
I love everything they do with the Dragos in this movie. Like yes, we want our guy Donnie to win and persevere, but at the same time you get why Viktor is fighting as hard as he is. His father is all he has. And Viktor just wants to know that he's got his love and respect.
How did this movie in the last 5 minutes make you suddenly feel for both Dragos? So well done.
Just that look in Dolph Lundgrens eyes, right before he threw the towel.
I felt something similar about Cobra Kai. As a kid i would never expect that guys like Drago or Johnny Lawrence can get a redemption. Both Cobra Kai and Creed II managed to show us how bad guys from the past could change and it feels earned.
Because good storytelling and character development.
1. I started laughing so hard when the camera slowly zoomed in on Carly at 11:15 during her rant about "those dang men!"
2. I was so shocked when I heard you say to "use your angles" - then you ruined it by saying you didn't know what that meant! 😂😂😂
Thank you ladies, properly enjoyed watching this whole franchise with you, it's been epic 🙏
Ladies, another great reaction. Now that the Rocky franchise is finished, it's time you give Sly Stallone's softer, more gentle character a try. Rambo.
Good one!!!😊
"Softer, more gentle" *proceeds to mow down an entire foreign army with a .50cal machine gun* 😅
🤣🤣🤣
😀😃
You must have come from another dimension
Bruh🤣😂🤣😂
Kilmonger vs Razorfist 🔥 Honestly the characters were so good and I love how it all connects with Rocky IV.
Ivan Drago definitely gained meaning as a character at the end of this movie.
Ivan thought he'd lost everything but at the end he realised that he still had his son and that his son means more to him than anything.
I remember when I first saw the previews for this and they had the shot of Rocky and Drago glaring at each other, I was saying that I kind of wanted to have the whole movie be just that shot for two hours.
In one of the promos I saw they had a line from Adonis saying "These dudes killed my father. I can't let that stand. Indicating that he wants to fight them to AVENGE Apollo. THAT motivation is crap. Adonis never KNEW Apollo; like at all. Didn't even know he was Apollo's son. So doing it for THAT specific reason is crap. BUT doing it to step out from the shadow of what happened to Apollo, is a good reason. So Adonis' motivation is BOTH a good one and a crap one.
@@patrickcromwell7554 just because he never met his father doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a connection to him. Same reason why orphan children will often seek out their birth parents at some point in their lives.Donny felt robbed of time with his father because of Drago.
@@kalelbalboa283 Actually it DOES. Adonis says himself "I ain't got no father." defiantly as if rejecting the idea. The ONLY connection he had was from whatever he learned from Apollo's wife and other people. And Orphans seeking out their parents are LOOKING for the connection; they don't start with one. There is no way Adonis felt "robbed" when even as a child he didn't even acknowledge he HAD a father.
As I said earlier it's poor emotional motivation, BUT proving he's better than Apollo is exactly within character for Adonis. Why else do you think he refused to even be called Creed until the all these years later. No one with a connection refuses to share a parent's name. and let's be clear it was Adonis' CHOICE to not be called Creed. The Promoters of his fight with Ricky Conlon MADE him take the Name Creed. It wasn't his choice. That's not a pre-existing connection, that's a burden.
Should watch Southpaw. A boxing movie with a great storyline. You guys will definitely love it. I’m 100 percent certain. Stars Jake Gyllenhall and Rachel McAdams
"Do you need a strong neck?" When you are getting punched in the head over and over by a guy twice your size... YES!
TWO Cassie and Carly reactions in ONE week? What a treat!
What a thrill...
Your reactions are legendary to these movies I am so going to watch these reactions over & over 😁 so entertaining
😂 😂 yup, same!
Rainy Sunday afternoon business ✌
I find myself watching Creed 2 more than the original Creed because I found the story of Drago and his son to be so compelling. They are the antagonists but I never rooted against them. They were on their own journey just like Adonis. I would love to see a spin-off show or movie with Drago and his son
Ahhhhhhhh!!!! Can't wait
I absolutely love Drago's reconciliation with his son and situation, D's reconciliation with Apollo, and Rocky's reconciliation with his son at the end.
Carly definitely toughing it out at the end. Hope you felt better soon.
I love that you saw the Drago VS Drago part of the story... not everyone sees that. The film had a subtitle "Sins Of Our Fathers" with Adonis dealing with Apollo, Rocky dealing with Robert and Victor dealing with Ivan.
Another film you may enjoy is Warrior, starring Nick Nolte, Joel Edgerton, and Tom Hardy. It has very similar themes of family estrangement, along with some excellent MMA fighting.
43:42 Sylvester Stallone actually is in the professional boxing Hall of Fame as an ambassador of the sport.
This is my favourite movie of the franchise. Last time we had a sympathetic villain was Apollo. 😳
It surprised me how good it actually turned out.
This is my favorite one out of the 2. Can’t wait for Creed 3
Holy crap. My body is ready. Not only is it a great movie but it makes another Rocky movie arguably better. (Won't say for those who are watching along and don't want spoilers)
Carly was super in to this one. One of you two’s best reaction yet!
Thanks so much for this entire series. Special thanks to Carly for being available for all of them. The sister dynamic added a wonderful dimension to already winning reactions.
You ladies are making me love this movie that I once thought inferior to the first Creed.
The ROCKY & CREED franchises have one common bond - heart. It's fun to see you both enjoy them so much.
Ivan Drago never abandoned his son after he lost. Plenty of character development and callbacks.
Congrats on getting through the greatest movie franchise ever.
Enjoyed sharing the ride with you.
One of my favs of the 8 Rocky/Creed films. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
My daughter asked the cashier at Speedway if he recently had gum surgery cuz she couldn't understand him. I now know she loves your channel too 🤣🤣🤣
I enjoyed both the Creed movies but this one was really an emotional ride. Thanks for the reaction.
There was a deleted scene where Spider (the first match with rocky, also the guy who use to wash dishes at Adrian's) was telling Rocky about a place he use to train in the desert. That might help to understand why they trained where they did
I was waiting for this one. Knew you two would love it, especially that ending.
Something I read from another reaction to this movie, Drago ended up having some redemption for throwing the towel because he valued his son when it all comes down to it.
great reaction... if you are still in the mood for a amazing story with boxing "million dollar baby " is the way to go also "cinderella man"
Love this channel in general (excellent and earnest reactions to some of my favourite things), but when you two team up, it's absolute gold. Witty banter, fun asides and a very natural call and response to each others emotional states (especially on a series like the emotional roller-coaster that is the Rocky movies).
I absolutely love watching movies with you two. I got pretty choked up watching this by myself, with you and Carly I just want to reach out and offer a hug. Thank you so much for putting this out in the world Cassie. Much love to you both (and wishing you a rapid recovery Carly).
BTW, your editor is amazing! Not sure if it's your husband or someone you've hired, but he does an amazing job catching the best scenes and reactions.
Hearing you talk about always having a choice, I can agree with you, but for a competitive fighter, it can be easy to find yourself with one apparent path.
19:39 The reason Viktor's so vicious in the ring is because Ivan trained him from a young age because he thought he'd be able to get back in Russia's good books and get his wife back forgetting they just used him as a propaganda tool and Ludmilla's a gold digger who abandoned him to bring Viktor up alone after Rocky beat him.
Since Creed 3 has been confirmed and Florian Munteanu will reprise his role as Viktor Drago.
Imagine if Viktor becomes to Donnie, what Apollo was for Rocky.
That would be quite poetic.
New viewer here. I ran into your Rocky video yesterday and watched it. I’m a huge Rocky fan. Have watched them all many times. I ended up watching every single video for Rocky you made, and then today watched the Creed videos. Love these videos you made and love those movies. Love to see others watching and enjoying these terrific movies.
Ivan and Viktor were actually my favorite characters in this movie. They have a super understandable and sad story of being used and abused by your own country to the point you're brainwashed into thinking that's all that matters. The fact Ivan could end the cycle is amazing and uplifting by the end
Also funny thing. Dolph Lundgern (Ivan Drago) is not at all Russian. He's Swedish lol
Love all the reactions 💯
Highkey this was my favorite of the series. Adonis and B are just freaking goals
Poetic how Ivan threw the towel. He did what rocky failed to do all those years ago for apollo
Stallone is my favorite actor. I love when you and your sister watch movies together. I highly recommend the Rambo series.
Fetch this was a good reaction video. Oh my gosh I can't wait for more. 😁
I think this is one of the best Creed Reviews ive seen because you guys touched upon the emotional, relationship dynamics as opposed to just the sports in the film.......It was refreshing
FARR OUT! Really appreciate you two making your ways throughout the whole Rocky franchise.
Blessings
You know, with how much you two have loved this movie and the feelings/emotions it brings. You’d most definitely love the movie Real Steel starring Hugh Jackman. A beautiful boxing movie about family, and you don’t have to flinch or worry about the blood or brutality because it’s robots! 😁
Good Reaction👍. After the 1st fight against Drago, in the hospital, Rocky could have said to Donnie his most important quote from 'Rocky Balboa', which became a rule of life for me "Now, if you know what you’re worth, then go out and get what you’re worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain’t you. You’re better than that!"
The only thing i miss in the 'Creed'-movies is a character like Paulie. A really crazy but loyal friend 😉
(17:30) "You killed my father. Prepare to die." 500 cool points awarded!
I get so emotional watching you guys get emotionally invested in every movie especially the Rocky/Creed series. Plus it takes a lot for me to emotionally break.
Cinderella Man (2005) starring Russell Crowe is another fantastic boxing/love story film, loosely based on the life of boxer James Braddock. Think you gals would love it!
I adore Cinderella Man. It's great.
I'm so happy that your Rocky journey is now complete, but I'm also so sad... it's bitter sweet. You really should start diving deep into Stallone movies in general. especially the ones he writes and directs.
he doesn't get enough credit for the artist he is.
10:30 I just love how Rocky tells Drago "You don't get outta here you gone catch these hands again." 🤣
You ladies have THE BEST reaction channel. You watch these movies with every emotionjust like i do. Thank you. Keep up the great work!!!
Great reaction as always! Creed II is a great movie! It was written by Stallone has all the movies in the Rocky series are, except for the original "Creed" which was written by Ryan Coogler years before the movie came out as a tribute to his father who was a huge Rocky fan and his father was fighting cancer. It took Coogler years to convince Stallone to make Creed, but I'm so glad he did. Stallone won the Golden globe for best supporting actor for Creed . Creed & Creed II revitalize the Rocky series and helped make Rocky one of the best movies series ever. In 2021 Stallone re-edited Rocky 4 into a more modern version " Rocky IV the Ultimate Director's Cut: Rocky v Drago. " Stallone removed 40 minutes of footage from Rocky IV, and replaced it with 43 minutes of footage he did not use in the original movie. Stallone took out all the corny 80's and stuff like the robot and his son and Friends watching the fight at home . Stallone added a lot of dramatic dialogue he removed from original, as he was trying to make Rocky IV more of an action movie than the other Rocky movies. In the director's cut Stallone emphasizes the friendship between Apollo and Rocky a lot more than the original version, and Rocky has to deal with a lot more guilt and sorrow than in the original version . And the 2021 directors cut Stallone speeds up the fights and edits the fight so that they're a little more realistic and a lot more exciting. Finally Stallone changed the lighting of Rocky 4 to match Creed 2. In fact the director's cut of Rocky IV was made to match Creed 2 a lot better than the original Rocky 4. The link below is the trailer for Rocky IV the directors cut. This movie is pretty different from the original and a lot better. I highly recommend that you ladies react to Rocky IV the ultimate director's cut Rocky versus Drago, it's a better movie and the director's cut fits in with the rest of the series a lot better it's almost a book and of Creed ll.

A fantastic reaction. Its awesome to see Cassie and carly be so into these movies. And to think it started out with Cassie being hesitant to watch the first rocky film.
Fun Fact , or at least a fact I find fun, Strength training for the neck actually helps fighters head stabilization during fights, my understanding is that this translates to more resilience to knock outs.
Here’s my favorites in order.
Rocky 1
Rocky 2
Creed
Creed 2
Rocky Balboa
Rocky 3
Rocky 4
Rocky 5
Rocky Balboa is the greatest movie character of all time.
Now that you have finished the Rocky saga, you should check out Stallone's other franchise, the First Blood/Rambo movies.
Good to see Carly join you Cassie! Shes clearly still feelin the surgery here… but both of you are just super humans. Glad you started this channel Cassie.
I hadn't seen either Creed film before watching your reactions. I'm so glad I got to share that experience with the two of you. Thank you!
I would have never guessed that one of my favorite things from this channel is the two of you seeing boxing movies, but this was another great review. I never saw this movie in theaters or elsewhere, but this makes me want to see it asap.
You two should watch the Rambo movies next! Stallone is so friggin good in them. Edit: I agree with a couple other people in the comments, I would LOVE to see you both react to Cinderella Man. It’s such a great realistic Boxing movie and Russell Crowe turns in the performance of a lifetime as James J. Braddock.
As much as I adore Carly, I'm afraid that the "fighters' hands are registered as deadly weapons" thing is not true.
That's been a common myth for a long time. Can't really fault her since it's been repeated for decades.
@@MrPhooey442 The movie that prepetuated that myth even more was "Con Air" where the... Should I continue? Cass and Carly might want to react to it in the future.
But I'm sure you all know what scene in the movie I'm referring to.
I've been waiting for this reaction for the longest 😃 👏 👏
It all started with a joke after the success of the first film.
"So what's next, is Adonis gonna fight the son of Ivan Drago?"
Seriously.
This was what people were saying at the time.
So Stallone (one of the producers and writers) decided that the sequel would show us just that.
It was a joke that became gold and it actually worked.
Defining performances by all of the cast and Dolph Lundgren as Drago at his most dramatic.
The surprises and gut punches (literally and figuratively) of this sequel are incredible.
I can't wait for Creed 3 as Michael B. Jordan's directorial debut.
