- Battlefield has just announced its next game known as battlefield 2025, which goes back to the old school Battlefield gameplay style. Let's hope this brings back Battlefield to once again being a major video game release!

Battlefield 2042 was the worst game ever
I need destruction. Walls exploding, windows shattering, vehicles exploding, cracking bullets overhead. I want guns that sound different from each other but each one visceral it’s own way. Maps that are big enough for flanks but not so big you’re running for eternity to find the action. I want leveling to be fun and rewarding, lots of guns and attachments. I want stuff like mortar strikes from BC2 and the V2 rocket from BF5. I want a lot from the new battlefield if I’m going to return but I don’t think they’re gonna deliver.
Also the game pace haa to be way slower. The faster everyone spawns around you, the faster everyone runs, self healing and all that bullshit, the more it becomes like cod. I want to feel like in a war, not like im in apex legends

I’ll believe it when the beta demo comes out if it’s good or not. In fact when they release the first trailer we should all thumbs down the video like the infinite warfare trailer give them a swift kick that we ain’t buying there game if it sucks.

Everything Battlefield 2 had as like Commander role with assets,squads with 6 members along 9 classes and usmc ranks slow progression..spotting system,no lock on weapons and gadgets was perfect...to bring this all good stuff on a modern engine with proximity VOIP would be proper ''back to basic'' return.
Yep, these guys here dont know how many good elements bf2 had. For me it should be a mix of bf2 and bf3 and a bit of everything else that other bfs did well.

I dont think battlefield will ever "be back". I spent around 500 hours on bf3 and over 1000 on bf4.
Bf1 and bf5 combined it would probably be 80-100 hours.
Bf2042 would be about 10.....
BF1 i was in the middle on I would consider the last good game though

At least Vince recognizes the problem. If the next Battlefield feels similar to Battlefield 4 and somehow expands on it I'm there. Still play Battlefield 4 every few days. Please another Operation Metro map, ever since BF3 been addicted to this tight COD type map.

The game could be phonomenal, but if the mouse and controller inputs are broken again like 2042's still is after 3 years, it's game over tbh. From my basic level understanding, the input is engine level problems, if they are using the retail version of 2042's Frostbite engine, we're doomed. They need to make a new version of Frostbite from scratch again.
I literally said on stream lately and to some friends that im completely done with cod, since 2008. My hopes are now on a great battlefield game like Bf1. But as you stated, dont get your hopes up 😅
As long as the game has no specialists, and we have a server browser it will be miles better.
@@Simonb1471 with specialists, do you mean classes? Like assault and medical? I missed the last 2 bf’s so i dont know tbh. But yeah server search is nice, although i dont think it’s necessary per se. I think that is especially nice for long term players

I have faith in Vince, none in EA. If they let him do whatever he wants the game will be great, the dude is a genius when it comes to fps games. But there’s no guarantee they’ll give him enough freedom.

Poor hit detection, counter intuitive bullet deviation, no destruction, poor map selection, poor gun selection with poor damage values, poor class distinction, no score board, gay soldiers with rainbow camouflage, no servers, a me too sbmm mechanic, women soldiers with man jaw, op regular transport, nerfed air support, pre-order that fixes none of the community gripes, a day one patch that doesn't patch, manpower spent fixing the vanilla into half the life cycle of the game...etc😂😂😂

I olayed BF1 for almost 3 years after igoring IW. That beta was bad enough to skip the game even with Cod 4 remastered.

Lot of big talk from Vince there, but what will and will not EA have to say on certain aspects?.
BR type games split the base, dont want it, BF never had it, tried it with Firestorm, didnt work, doesnt need it.
Dont want sliding around corners, 50mph sprinting, weapons with no recoil.
Air vehicles that take no skill or practice can go.
AND (and i bet EA wont allow this),
i dont want to see any downloadable character skins or shimmering coloured weapons.
Do all that, I'll come back and have a look. Otherwise, just dont bother.
They just need the camos from 4 and 3 that's it the rest can be taken from anything before 2042 and V
