So on Spellblades I was really hoping to see a Weapon in this game that I've always wanted to see in a Souls game, a Weapon that's Only ash of war is to Cast a Spell but still could be used as a Weapon, sadly I haven't even seen this Modded in yet
@johnkeyes9482 If you do only the bare minimum to get to the end of the quest line and ignore everything else until you have the dagger, there's still a lot of game left to play with it.
The one time i did an intelligence build, i stopped using spells as soon as i got the kris. The amount of damage you do while using the small amount of fp from its skill just made it so much better than any spell
@@CavernsDev Technically true but only because they don't dodge it. It costs almost 4X the FP and does less damage than a fully charged Glintstone Dart.
All of these new build guides and weapons videos lately are making me really excited for the DLC. It would be really cool to switch out my old build for a new one, like with the claws or fist weapons. this honestly was probably my favorite part of Elden Ring: all of the build possibilities
I'd have a Misericorde with Glintstone Phalanx as a secondary weapon just to precast phalanx, along with the shoot and dash of kris that's like 70 (40+30) stance damage, so you'll be able to crit most enemies
I have a level 150, pure Intelligence build that I used for my first playthrough and plan to take into the DLC. I never used the Glintstone Kris in the base game (though I did acquire it), but you've convinced me to give it a go for the DLC!

I am scarred to make DLC too easy with such overpowered move :D
I wanna do a build where I powerstance this with a cold misericorde with glint blade phalanx for easy stance breaks as well as the quick multi hit moveset. This weapons skill is like pulling a missile out of your back pocket, it packs a punch.
Pretty much the build I finished the game with. Just add some utility spells and a sword with Carian Grandeur (benefits from all the same talismans) for variety.
One thing he missed that is noticeable is since this is a weapon and the Weapon skill is scaled off of weapon AR (attack rating), two handing the weapon actually increases the Weapon skill DPS like it would normally for two handing a weapon.
Very first character through the game was a Carian Knight, and although it won't be my 1st character through the dlc, when I do take him through it, I'll use this as a side arm, alongside my carian knights sword.
i thought it was just a different way to cats pebble , this thing is so much wilder than i thought it was . they better add more somber smithing stones 😩
Thanks just in time for one more run of elden ring before the dlc. Will you be doing build for V rising, PVE or PVP, i feel like the came as a lot of flexibility and because its easy to switch gear and weapon and spell, i think it would be fun
What do you think about using ancestral horn talisman, carian filigreed and sword of milos with this dagger ? With those equipments you can fully negate the fp consumption so it cost essentially 0 fp so long as it one shot the enemy, making this basically chargeable magic stormblade. Magic damage also chips shield unlike stormblade pure physical damage that get neutered by shielded enemies
Because the build relies on the Kris’ skill, the buff of the shield goes away when you put it away and the only way to use the Kris’ skill is when you put the shield away
Since you're already medium load anyways, it doesn't make sense not to have a staff/spells IMO. Terra Magica alone makes it worth it, but other spells like Loretta's Greatbow, Haima Cannon/Gavel, Adula/Carian Greatsword, etc add a LOT of versatility.
Well for starters, Fex has indeed made at least one.

@@CavernsDev dont forget about golden halberd which will carry you all the way to nightriders glaive where you can switch it up or dual wield both of them.
Off hand would be a staff for me. I couldnt be a mage and just use the L2 all the time and not actually cast spells lol. If anything id use a buckler for parrying so I don't have to put points in str
Agreed. I would also ditch the ritual sword talisman for erdtree's favor +2. I would rather have the multiple buffs that gives over some extra damage that I will probably loose do to a bad play on my part.
@@bentrieschmann neither was i, but it's not too tricky. Just empty whatever you don't use into storage. And take out only the ones you like/need. And then just organize it by when you pick them up, and just practice a lot. I got pretty okay at just hard swapping. And even if you don't do it fast all you need to do is walk away from an enemy and then take your time swapping over. Personally I prefer doing swaps because I get bored of doing the same thing over and over again, so I like having a variety of weapons so I can change my playstyle quickly
That’s the build I’m taking into the DLC lol Kris and Carian Staff with sword sorceries. He doesn’t do a great job of showcasing Kris’s R2 follow-up attack in the video, it’s pretty good. Also Carian Piercer is a really good spell for the build because it’s buffed by Godfrey Icon & Carian staff
@@baileyp_ you don’t have to fight them to get the weapon, but it is the back door to the Altus and drops you right in ravine that brings you to Azur to get Comet Azur and start the quest line
@@swordsman111982 No, you can get to Azur without fighting abductors. Once you are on the plateau, after collecting the medallion halves, there is a way to go round the lake to find the grace in the ravine outside and below the abductors fight. Go explore, you'll find it.
That’s what I am saying. I would probably go with the Misericorde and the dagger talisman as you would break posture a lot and the Misericord has the highest crit mod
Things to improve the build: 1. Use the sacrificial axe offhand for mobs 2. Consider the ancedtral's spirit horn over one of the weaker talisman for mobs 3. Do not level dex more than to the min req as it doesnt boost the skill. 4. 60 vigor. Duh 5. 80 int as it caos out the damage of the skill 6. Consider a more defensive chest piece or the spellblade one 7. I didnt hear it in the video, so: mafic shrouding cracked tear
I started using the Glinstone Kris halfway thru my mage build run. It’s so good and cost efficient compared to Night Comet which I was also using. For dungon crawling and exploring the open world Glinstone Dart is amazing
I'm hitting for 4100 per dart at lvl 70 int. I'm a lvl 483 on NG+4 and this build is sooooo fun. I use the jelly fish shield instead for that extra umph lol

If you play your cards right you can do sellens quest before you even get to Lleyndell
the thrust ability on glintstone dart scales off of strength so its worth increasing strength and not pumping dex at all and just spellcast.
Really cool build
Nice…I’m looking for a new build since the beast jaw was nerfed into the ground.
I did this build with wing of astrel as a sidearm.
Very nice
