Got this when it came out. My CD had a bubble in it obscuring about a minute of that great North Sea Storm intro. No RUclips back then to get a quick fix.
Had to go straight to the bands webpage! Haha. Remember rocking to them in my high school computer lab, before I bought the cds. Those were the days
North Sea Storm is probably my fav song on this album too. Such power. Reminded me of The Dragon’s Flight Across the Waves from the debut.
Brings me back to 1999 when I was a freshman in HS and buying the first 2 Amon Amarth albums, and playing the shit out of them.
Didn’t think they’d ever be one of the biggest metal bands in the world.
They were punishing, melodic and raw to me. Never really bothered with them after 2006, and never realized they got so big until years later
Similar. I kind of moved on after Fate of Norns. Moved to more black metal listens like Drudkh and Eastern European MySpace finds, like Walknut, around this time.
I was just repeating: ''Vikings! Raise the shield wall! Hold the frontline, fight 'till death'', over and over in my mind and this pops up. Very nice.

I saw them live when they just released this album, was great, they where still a bit underground, very aggressive and epic. Was magic.

I always like when Amon Amarth combine melodic death metal with folk and viking metal.
Viking Metal doesn't exist. Or at the very least it didn't... Idk these days.
This album is fantastic. I wish they played more of their older material in their sets
Same. Just saw them a couple of weeks ago and not a single pre Twilight song besides Pursuit. I can't believe they even took Death in Fire out of their set.

I REALLY MISS THIS A.A. W/ That brutallity at the same time Melancholy on their great Riffs - *Sorrow throughout the Nine Worlds, Once Sent from the Golden Hall and The Avenger* are their best albums.

I was doibtful when i purchased this for $21 but it very quickly became my favorite amon amarth album
It's so satisfying taking a chance and paying a pretty penny for a cd and it turns out awesome.

Hard to pick a favourite… but there’s something extra special about North Sea Storm… can’t quite put my finger on it… might be my fave song of theirs

I love these guys they're awesome I discovered them years ago but never really got into him and then I just saw them with obituary and carcass which are two of my f****** awesome favorite bands so that was definitely a win-win-win-win besides I had a s***** beginning of the year so what a way to metal it out🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟

@Metal Blade Records - Random question: Does anyone have a copy of the 2009 Metal Blade release with some completely different song lyrics in the liner notes for Last With Pagan Blood? I never got an answer from the band about it and there’s no record of the lyrics that are in my copy anywhere online. Some of it is similar but it seems like an early version. They go like this:
