I tore out the ribbon too. A pencil board can be helpful. But also blotter paper is super helpful too. What you don’t like is what many of us love 💕
We need to convince @justscribble to make a pocket size of her planner….. because she is going to make the thicker version of this paper!!
Shiv- someone mentioned a pencil board and I used it when I was playing around with it and it 10000% helped. Many are saying I should try a different pen. I am a .38 chick - any recommendations? 🥰

I personally love tomoe river paper because of the feel after you write on it 😂 I flip through old pages I’ve already written on just to feel the texture. I love how the monthlies are so roomy and we get trackers too! Thanks for reviewing this pocket daily!!
Hi Melody!!! Gurl- this layout is PERFECTION. I agree with you on the monthlies for sure- so ROOMY!! I think everything about it is flawless. BUT...I am still getting used to the paper. Some people have commented that I should try a different pen and use a pencil board. any recommendations on what pens you use? Thanks for watching!!! 🥰
I love that you shared this video. Like others have said... the things you dont like about TRP are the things i love. For me feeling and flipping through the paper after they've been written on is a sensory joy. I didnt realize this planner had all of this in it when i heard about it so i didnt get one, but i am highly considering it for my edc in 2025. Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for watching Monique! I am such a planner community hermit.. LOL I never know when releases are or new products. I am so lucky a few people alerted me to PTD release. in all the years I have been in the community I have heard people rave about this paper. When I would watch PWM or flips, I could see the paper was very thin- so I never felt the need to try it. I can say, the more I play with it, the more I am loving it. It just takes me a while to convert! LOL 😂

Gurl!!! GURL!!!! I tried it after you recommended it and it cut down on the indentation A LOT!!!!!! Thank you! this was a huge help. Other people are saying changing my pen might help too. We shall see about that one... I am addicted to my pens. has to be .38 and has to be a dark black color. Thank you so much for the tip!! ♥️

Seeing you and everyone else develop personalized ways of using this REALLY makes me want to get it for 2025. I have a hard time sticking with bound books so that is a consideration for me as it is a rather pricey commitment. I look forward to seeing how you experiment with this for the rest of the year. ~ Tracy
Tracy- I will be honest- back in April/May when I did my Every Day Carry Series, I eluded to the fact I had a little dilemma or reveal. That reveal was I was possibly going to phase out the pocket for 2025 - simply because of the inconsistency of moleskine paper, the frustration of mid year my pocket being hard to write on the left side... and possibly using dailies again in my ring planner to go back to the 1 planner system I had used for over two decades (almost three actually 🫣) Then PTD came out. And though I dont love the paper (yet).. I am still deciding where I will land on this dilemma. I think that is why I am excited about trying new layouts in the PTD. WE SHALL SEE. 😬
I like to use the weekly review page for forward planning/ ‘not right now’ tasks. I need to remember them, but am not planning to do it this week, but am also not ready to schedule it. So those tasks have a home on that page until I’m ready to schedule them, and they don’t clutter up my daily/ weekly spread. Kind of a ‘pending’ page.

Glad you got your hands on one try for 2024! Tomoe river paper takes some time getting used too. But once you find the right pen, I think you will enjoy it! The pencil board will help too. Might I suggest the uni jet stream or the signo. Use the remainder of the year trying pens! Hopefully you will learn to love it!

Writingwise I can absolutely recommend the sarasa vintage pens and the lighter colors they come with. Especially gray and yellow are fabulous ✍️
Sandra!!! First, so sorry for my delayed response. it has been a week of heighten anxiety and I have bee slow all week! Second, YES I remember you recommending it and I think at the time I wasnt interested. AND THEN... I saw JustScribbles YT video about it (GREAT VIDEO) and I went and put a black one in my cart. Then I thought- nah, I dont need it! Watched JustScribbles YT video a dozen more times and when I went back to my card the black ones had sold out. I was lucky enough to get the pinky beige one. I am going to play with it and do some tester videos. I am getting use to the paper. 😬🫣 im not a fan yet , Yikes I know!! lol. Lastly, I am ALWAYS amazed at how far my crazy bonkers stories and videos go. Switzerland is awesome and I am so happy you are part of this community!!! Thank you for watching and commenting!! I agree with you the planner is Great, pocket size planner is perfect for me. I’ve been using a pocket for over 5 years now. I love TRP, I just can’t justify that a half year planner is over $50. So the full year is going to be over $100. I’ll pay my $35 and have a whole year plus with sterling ink and make my own. Thank you for sharing. Stay well.

Understandable.... I wonder if she is going to charge that much. Is that normal? Like I said, this is the first time I have tried something outside of what I use. I am not familiar with other releases. I would be curious to find out what the price is for 2025.
A few tips for the indentation. Use a pencil board or something behind the page and it really helps.

Right, Mayra!! the planner cover itself is SO SOFT. The pages feel like silk - though I am still getting use to the paper... The monthly are sooooo roomy and the weeklies and dailies give you so much space. I just wish it was a full year!!! That is my only wish!! UGH!!!!
I love the layout. Thank you for sharing! I personally love the tomoe river paper. I do use foundation pens though. And I am so glad she split it in two books for the year, but that’s me. It’s everything I am looking for in an A6 lol. What would stop me from purchasing is that the shipping is so much cuz I live here in the U.S as well, and that I just loooove a6. Idk if I can do pocket for my planner all year. I love pocket for list, to track, brain dump, even to keep a notebook with inspirational quotes, but idk if I like the size for my planner.

I am so excited for this planner. This is perfect set up! However,I went to go purchase one and it is sold out. 😔. I hope inventory comes back soon and she does has this available for 2025!
Yes, when I had the black one in my cart and then changed my mind. When I went back a few days later- the black one was sold out. I think that is all the inventory she had for 2024. You will have to be on the look out for the 2025 release! 🥰

I love everything about this planner!! I love tomoe river paper since it’s so lightweight to be able to carry the whole year at once. I love that she has a weekly review built in which I normally have to do in my notes pages and ample notes pages for my finances and goal breakdowns, sadly it’s sold out for 2024! But I’m definitely keeping in mind for 2025. Thanks for sharing!! I hope you’ll try a writing board behind your page to see if that helps with indentations. This paper crinkles and fluffs up when used and I love that too. It’s really a nice book to archive your memories from the year!

Hi Alexandra!! so sorry I am late to responding. last two weeks have been BONKERS! someone else mentioned they wanted to try a pocket moleskine but were afraid their handwriting was too big. When I was on the fence 2 years ago- what I did was bought a previous year on Amazon. So like right now you can get a 2023 for like $5. Use that to test it out. See If it is a right fit. $5 investment - if you decide you dont like it- you can simply use those pages to doodle or note pages, etc. Just a thought. 🥰. I have tried Tamoe River Paper many times throughout my many years of planning….I do not care for it at all. I prefer your pocket moleskine. It may get super chunky, but it’s perfect otherwise.❤

I’m totally going PTD next year. Love the layout. Great layout for financial planning. I track like you do, although I need to add the charts for visual trends. Where do you get the weekly spend tracking chart you use or did you make it yourself?

The financial tracker with the graph is from Creffective Paper. It is amazing and I have been using it now for two years in a row. Such a good tracker and archiving them to see previous years is really such a good tool!! 🥰
Love your layouts!💖 A different pen other than the Sharpie may produce less ghosting. 😊
