Ok I have used this bag for 5 years slmost every day. Its a great EDC. I added bottle holder on the other side. What I love about this bag, it's hard to over pack it almost forces you to be kinda minimalist and help break that cycle of walking out the door with a utility belt and backpack.
Good stuff. I was surprised at how little my bag contents changed over the years. I did a video maybe four years ago, then one recently. Comparing the two a lot of things are the same. I like that bag.
Thanks T.R. - I’ve had the bag for years and like you eluded to, have had no reason to change. 90% of the stuff stays the same, every now and then I add something but for the most part it’s the same basic stuff.
I had a v- slinger type bag from Vanquest (Tolcat) and just got a Maxpedition Veldspar. Same bag style but a different layout. Since I have a ccw I prefer the sling bag so my hands are free. I carry a Big bandage kit since I'm on blood thinners, a weather-proof notepad, pens, Sharpie, Wallet with my badge and I.D., Card case, custom made notebook cover, wet wipes, and sunglasses. My knife and flashlight are always in my pocket. I also keep my keys clipped to the bag on an "s-biner" and night eyes locking carabiner. There is a Spyderco bug knife, car and house keys, pill bottle and a few luggage tags. Love the new bag which works well for my usage. Enjoyed your video. 73's.
Great video! I do have a suggestion though, you said you have a wife for my girlfriend I like to carry some extra feminine hygiene items for my girlfriend, it's saved the day more than once just grab 1 or 2 pads and/or tampons from your wife's stuff if you wanna keep it basic, I made an entire kit which includes 2 pads, 2 tampons, 2 feminine hygiene wipes, a spare pair of cotton underwear, hand sanitizer wipes, hair ties, Bobby pins, deodorant wipes, tissues, makeup removal wipes, acetone wipes, tweezers and fingernail clippers and it all fit in a small pouch she had laying around (3.5 x 5 inch) she also wears glasses so a lens cleaning cloth as well. She even told her friends about it and now they have something just like that in their bags
Hey there, thanks so much for watching and for the comment. That’s a very fair point, we often think selfishly when we build these kits. I have stuff for my family (diapers/feminine products/medications/etc.) in several other kits but nothing in this bag. Great suggestion, maybe I’ll throw something together in case she forgets her purse. Thanks!!
Haha I love how we have to preemptively tell people that it's an EDC bag. Some clown will ask where your tent is or where your AR is 😂 I get those questions all the time. I could be showing a wallet and some will ask where my water filter is. Its ridiculous. Nice video man. Cool gear. I like the battery case. I've been meaning to pick up the AAA version. A+for those lithiums 😎👍🏻
Hey what’s up man! Thanks for watching. Your so right, these days there are so many different types of bags and everyone has their own expectations and preferences. And I’ve got some of those questions too, it’s hilarious. “What, no folding saw!?” Ummm no, this is an EDC bag. Lol. Thanks again for watching man. All the best!
Very well thought out. I know you said the Nitecore Tip was to big for a keychain light but maybe if you wanted to upgrade the Tip that's in this bag to a Nitecore Tip2 that was just released recently you could snag one from Amazon at around $45 . 720 lumens , magnetic keychain release / charge port cover , pocket clip / visor clip , some better features than the regular Tip. thought about getting one myself. Your kit is pretty solid as is. Tip2 is a smidge larger than the older version though I think but might be good for a bag or just back up light & 720 lumens from a small rechargeable is pretty good.
Hey John! I’ve looked at the Tip2 and it looks awesome. I recently added the RovyVon Aurora A1 as my keychain light and it’s amazing (I did a video on it). I may get a Tip2 at some point just because I’m a flashlight junkie, lol. I’ve always loved the concept of the Keybar but I literally carry 1 single key (house) and then my car key fob.
I watched that Rovyvon review, very cool little light!! I wish you had more keys lol! Just so you could love a Keybar! Could be a great gift idea for your pops if he has a few keys.
Just ordered one. Thanks man. Got several Maxpedition products and i was looking for something compact like this but could not fond something in the Maxpedition line, either to big or to small. This one seems perfect for traveling and edc without carrying a back pack or a bigger messenger bag. Cheers!
Hi Wendy, thanks so much for watching! A sewing kit and hand sanitizer are great ideas. I keep a large pump bottle of hand sanatizer in my vehicle but I should definitely add a small bottle inside the bag. Thanks for the recommendations! All the best!
I really enjoyed the video, I didn't know this bag or the pre-folded Reditape, which I'll be getting a few of. What I would recommend to you is to get a leatherman bit kit, and a compatible multitool Like the wave or surge. I've yet to come across any screwing job it couldn't handle, and it's by far my most used leatherman feature. Gerber centerdrive would work as well, as would others I'm sure but the leatherman is what I have experience with.
I am using the same bag as 'EDC', but I keep my main compartment empty. :P Just in case! It is mainly for my daily urban life, so it only has some basic stuff like a pocket knife, a flashlight, a pen, a notepad, a backup battery, and a disposable plastic poncho, foldable shopping bag, etc. But I do have some specialized things like a fire evacuation handkerchief and a full trauma kit cause fire and traffic accident is the most likely the life-threatening situation I would encounter in my daily life if one ever happens. I can pack all the things without using the main compartment, which is cool cause the bag is light enough to easily carry around, and I can put more stuff in the bag if needed depends on the situation.
Thanks! That’s a good recommendation. I carry combat gauze, chest seals, compressed gauze and a tourniquet on my person, that’s the reason none of that is in the EDC bag.
I got it on Amazon. It was on my workbench in my garage then I brought it inside when I started my channel a few months back, lol. Here’s the link: Dahle Vantage 10672 Self-Healing 5-Layer Cutting Mat Perfect for Crafts and Sewing 24" x 18" Black Mat www.amazon.com/dp/B0027ROZ9G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_RVI1Cb45GXYVT
Two observations: First, a little bit too much redundancy, seriously, 3 flashlights? I would swap one out for a headlamp. But hey, if it works for ya, it works for ya. Second, somethings you may want to consider adding: A micro-screwdriver setup. Some safety pins and paper clips. It's amazing how handy they can be, and they take up zero space. Finally, some cordage. Reflective 325 paracord in a "fast deploy". 15-20' in the space of a Sharpie. From tying things down that need tying, to a temporary replacement for busted shoelaces, cordage is your friend. Thanks for this video though, tis well done. I'm looking for something a bit smaller than the Kato I have, and this pretty much answers my questions.
Do you have a GETS phone number. It’s Government Emergency Telecommunications Service. It gives you priority to cell towers during a national disaster/emergency. I went through Department of Homeland Security training a few years ago and got one.
I had one, but that dam LYFT driver never returned it back. By accidentally left it in his back of the truck. 2 things I learned 1. get a khaki color & 2. gave it with you at all times.
Great question. I don’t have an iPad, but if you look up the bag online it should give you the exact dimensions of the pockets to compare to your iPad. I’m thinking it would fit, but I can’t be certain.
I love this little bag. It’s exactly what I need. But, having a hard time coming to grips with it being $70 on Hazard4 website + $13 cheapest shipping method + tax. Almost $90.00 total. Do you have any suggestions to find this bag cheaper other than Facebook marketplace, Craigslist and eBay?
Matt - they also have one almost identical called the “Kato” which is slightly larger and full fit a tablet. The gray version is only $49 on the Hazard4 website.
Geared Toward Gear disregard. I was able to negotiate with an eBay seller and got the Tonto in black for $50 and free shipping! I am excited to get it in the mail this week, especially for $40 cheaper than Hazard4 website! Thanks for your prompt replies.
Excellent EDC load out in a very compact package! Well planned and well stored! Thanks for sharing brother!
Thanks brother, I appreciate you watching!

Q-Pid Avenger LOL
@@edwinalgarin1715 it's very useful since it can be very embarrassing if they have an accident in public
Q-Pid Avenger it’s a good idea I have seen others doing the same
Yikes!

I dunno how many keys you use but Keybar changed my EDC, love that thing! Amazing how much functionality it packs!

Jon Beard Lol, not a bad idea for a gift though for my dad!
Very nice video and gear.
Thanks, Bunzo!

Do you think that Molle side could fit the Hazard 4 water bottle pouch?

Hi. Can u list up items inside your Kato bag...im interested to know details. Tqqq
Nice kit. Would include some quick clot

Nice setup dude
Hey unclecow, I appreciate that. Thanks so much for watching! Cheers!
You need more flashlights. I’ve never had to use them.😮
Great setup.
Thanks, Jade!
Where do you get the black mat you filmed this on?

That I do not have. Sounds interesting.
Great video. Thanks for posting. 👍
You bet! Thanks so much for watching!
Where did you get the AA battery holder?
I got it on Amazon. The brand is called Storacell - they make them in all battery sizes and colors. Great products. 👍🏻
Awesome. Thanks!
Of course!
I carry the hazzard 4 hibachi
Nice!!
I had one, but that dam LYFT driver never returned it back.
By accidentally left it in his back of the truck.
2 things I learned 1. get a khaki color & 2. gave it with you at all times.

Matt - if you can live with the Desert Tan color it is only $45 on Amazon w/ free shipping. Are you in the USA?

I’ll put in a good word with your kids 👍🏻
All purses need a shoulder strap!

Thanks for watching Rich!
it seems that the author is afraid of the dark and shit himself
Alot of shit kits and flashlights
You never know when you’ll have to take a shit in the dark.
