It's wonderful that you've been able to get back to doing something you love so much. Those beds should last for a long time, and with luck, give you many happy memories... that's priceless.
I adore the whole setup, simply because it's such a relaxing thing to look forward to as and when you need a break. Not to mention, helping feed your family food that is straight from your own garden is yet again priceless. Flowers can help attract pollinators, which will probably appeal to Belle, so that'll be a bonus to those flower beds. Herbs are again great for cooking, but again, certain types of herbs will attract pollinators - there really is no downside that I can see for any of you.
My childhood was always about learning where food came from, and even in the winter our Mother would grow cress and mustard in the kitchen windowsill. Even now, I've kept up that tradition, and not only do I have those memories, I get such a boost from eating fresh produce in the midst of winter.
Making those types of memories with Belle and Maverick will last a lifetime. ❤
Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. It's absolutely got no downside. The smiles on your faces and the fun you had setting them up, worth every penny! Thanks for letting us join in via your videosc, it has certainly brightened my day. ❤

If you make any more raised beds, it works well to put cardboard on the ground - stops the weeds. Also I love those light fittings. The ceiling would look beaautiful just as it is; if you paint it white you will have a glare to sit under and the outside will probably have glare as well. Not well said but just a thought.

Ashley's like "yep, after that closet, I'm glad you are sanding". All the filler makes Belle's room looks like that Mr Bean episode he put the exploding firework in the can of paint to explodi-paint the room. The theme of the black-rimmed outdoor lights is going along good with everything, definitely into that.
Learned something new; I thought all morning glories were that blue or deep wild purple like the ones at the old place me and dad lived at when I was young. If the ones from last year come back along with the new ones, that'll look really neat. Property is really coming along y'all. Safe to say this place is really starting to feel like home?

Everyone chose the flowers to complement their tastes in things, in many ways the choices were a clear restatement of what they are always interested in seeking. Maverick was well engaged in the planting, smaller children have small, nimble fingers, well adapted to planting small seeds. I can understand why some wanted everything to be the same throughout the room, but I understand the alternative style statement you wanted with zoning off different locations. Having to wait for the paint has one great upside, they always say that paint finish depends on preparation, now you can devote any remaining energy on to the preparation. (You just about exhaust my energy watching all that you do!)

I would set up a watering spigot out by the raised beds having the hose right there is worth the effort- a friend also recycled a very old school ceramic pedestal sink - that in the summer they would hook up to the water via a hose and she would wash her veggies garden tools and it would drain into the flower bed In the winter they would just disconnect the hose. Snake beans also are good climbers. In Florida- is it better to grow things like cucumbers, pumpkins, gourds on trellis off the ground? For airflow around the veggies? We still have snow on the ground.

You and your family are awesome and an inspiration to all of us. Your videos are amazing and you don’t have to justify how much money you spend on your projects ,it’s your money! I just love what you are doing as a family! Keep up the good work.

Good idea cutting the flower beds in half, now there is more room for more flowers. I can hardly wait o see what color has been chosen for Belle's room. Thanks for the update. Have a Blessed day.

Smart wearing hats in the hot sun... I didn't and paid a very steep price for it in later years. Good job on the planters and room.

I would also have done the sanding of the walls & ceiling of Belle's wood walls. I look forward to seeing her paint color !!

If you have stumps plant in them and it will help deteriorate the stumps. You might have to drill some holes for seeds and soil on the stumps.
